*****August 2014 Mummies*****

Hey ladies - now over here with you. Scary how the threads on in tri 3 are very diff to tri2. Scary labour threads lol.

Had my mw appt this morning - mainly tick box appt felt like waste of time but heard bubba heartbeat so nice confirmation as if the high powered kicks werent enough lol. And still chasing for poxy physio appt - 10 weeks now!!!

Enjoy the sunshine. x

Welcome Happy and HanSam!!

Happy- sounds like an awful night :-/ Hope u can catch up with a nap today!

HanSam- that's awful you've been waiting soooo long to see a physio- that breaches the 8 week wait I thought the NHS had in place! Did u say the referral got lost? Can't remember? Its ridiculous to wait that long! Xxx

Welcome over girls, this is the trimester where the fun is :) nice to have more I've us here!
Hopingforn2 hope you are ok with the chickenpox jabs and that your son doesn't get it after all. I agree with Keeptrying , I have taken so much during this pregnancy that I worry too but hope all is well with our bubs.

Happy I am with you with the sleeping, I am really struggling with the heat although DH got the fan out
So managing a bit better with it.

Got up after lunch time and went out for an hr long walk with kids to the ice cream shop, lovely weather for it... But feeling a little tired now, specially after a night shift. Trying to get the energy together to start ironing soon whilst DH sorts dinner out. Aaron has eye drops for his pink eyes and they look better today so I think he will be ok to go to school tomorrow- hope so because we will be painting the living room tomorrow !

Mum2b I hope Ethan is much better this evening, poor wee guy, they do go off their food when not well but he will bounce back quickly and make up for it x

Yes its totally ridiculous. They changed the way they refer back in november and for somereason the physio centre are not receiving the fax's. I have just chased again and still not received it yet despite mw doing it again today. I don't understand why they dont just post or email it as this method is clearly not working and im suffering because of it. REally unsure who to complain to now though.

What a day and what heat! I have aqua bumps this evening though so that will be a welcome freshness. I attempted to take the two dogs and toddler for a decent walk - big mistake haha. Usually i save these for weekends when hubby is around too but thought shame as such a nice day. Never again - god knows how will cope on little walks with a bubba added to the mix lol. x

Grrr! Just wrote massive reply and lost the lot!!.... Will try again later once I've got Ethan to bed! Xx

HanSam, I have to say again it is ridiculous you are waiting so long to get seen, but it seems to be a general problem in lots of places... My midwife just told me to
Pop down to physio department in my uniform and they would see me but I am reluctant to do so when I know so many women are really suffering and are having to wait and all I have is mild pain so I am going through the right channels but have got nowhere so far :/
Mum2b, any chance you could see us all ??? Grrr about message, so annoying
Xxx

Haha- mummy_midwife! Don't think you would want me treating you all- I'm out of touch and not insured and obstetric physio was never my speciality anyway!! Wish I could help you all though!......
Hope you aren't too achy after that long walk.......it's too hot down here- my car has said 24 degrees the last couple of days- that's too hot for pregnant me!! As much as the weather is lovely I think it's going to be a long summer with this August baby in the heat :-/

HanSam- I would probably complain on both sides- to the physio manager and the midwifes superior! Its not on that just because a referral doesn't get through on numerous occasions someone isn't seen and allowed to get worse!......I think if you kick up enough of a stink you will be seen straight away!

Ethan isn't great still :-/ Def better than yesterday but not eating well and was sick again after attempting tea......His temp is still spiking but it has been longer inbetween spikes today so that's something! He is just snotty and coughing with watery eyes and a rash bless him! He sounds so miserable although he tries to just carry on as usual- he always does! Hoping for a better day tomorrow :-)

Aw hun, that's not good Ethan is not quite there yet, with this hot weather as well he is bound to feel a bit blah :( yes let's hope for a settled night and a better day tomorrow.
I am actually fine after the walk , quite surprised I don't feel worse to be honest, I am sure I will feel all achy tomorrow!
X

That's good hun! U must be in good nick ;-)
Ethan's temp has spiked up to 38.8 now......given him ibuprofen and settled him down.....his room is 24/25 degrees and typically he has decided he is scared of the fan now so he won't have it on his room!.... Hope he is better soon- can't help but worry :-/

PS: you are all such lovely in this thread and the HG nvp, but some people are really power happy round this forum it appears :/ will give myself a break from here for a bit as not wanting to loose my temper lol but really struggling not to really say what I want to say, so better hold off :) love to all xxxxx

Bless him hun, I really hope he is ok... It is so worrying :( will text you in the morning to find out how he is :hugs: xxx

Yes hun- didn't u say 11lb possibly? U don't look like you've put 2stone on in your bump pics- must b all baby :-)

Yes they said he's very long and likely to be about 11lb
My first son was 9lb 10 and my daughter was 10lb 4. So very big. More to love. My kids are 9 & 7 this year they are not chunky now tho lol.

Wow whoppers! How did u find birthing big babies? My son was 9lb so bit concerned about this one being bigger :-/

Wow what a whopper !!!!

I don't have a small one to compare it to lol but I didn't have any major issues. I had forceps with my first and my second I had stitches but all healed well in less than two weeks. I did have the epidural. I would like to have a more active birth and try water birth with hypno this time but if I need the epidural I will, I'm not against them there isn't a prize for putting up with the mist pain.

I'm more struggling with carrying the baby tbh. It hurts between my legs turning in bed and sitting and walking haha. I walk slowly and huff and puff like I did at 30+ weeks with my daughter. :-(

This is my bump at 24 weeks, is it big compared to you all? I have put two stone on! Even with the Hyperemisis (HG sickness) until 16 weeks!

Morning Ladies. Finally made it over to Tri 3 although now I'm here Tri 2 seems to have flown by. I'm thinking the next 3 months will fly by there seems to be so much going on. Have a holiday in a couple of weeks and having some work done at home which the builders finally started yesterday.
I am off to a Breast Feeding workshop tomorrow. Bit nervous as I'm going on my own and don't really like group things when you don't know anyone. Has anyone else been to one yet? What was it like? Xx

Hi afield! Welcome over to tri 3 :-)
I'm off on holiday in June too- where r u going??

I did nct course last time and we had a specific breastfeeding class. We were all there as couples so wasn't alone but I remember it being v informative! We talked about stuff like latching, positions to try, size of babies stomach and how much it needs at what age etc. It was good! Hope u r ok ( I don't like going into group situations on my own either) and that u get a lot out of it! Let us know how u go xxx

Hi girls hope everyone is good today? Just wanted to share a little story lol I've got an anterior placenta and find it really hard to feel bubs but always get a few kicks in the morning when I'm lying flat well this morning she wasn't kicking so I got mine and hubby's first dance song on my phone and played it on my tummy. Well she went mad kicking rolling all over the place was amazing! Can't believe there is an actual human in there still lol but it was a lovely feeling :) thought is share xx

Hello ladies, happy tuesday!!

Luckily I slept a lot better last night. Tbh I think my body was that exhausted it just gave up & let me sleep!! I slept on top of the covers all night, wrapped around my sleep pillow!

mum2b - Hope Ethan is feeling better soon!!!

Keeptrying- that is soooo lovely :-) u should def try that again!

Happy- great u had a good night! My little man is still poorly :-/ Spiked temp in the night again but so far today we have been ok......he's still not eating or drinking much (normally he is brilliant!) And he is drowsy too- think that's a combination of disturbed nights and the piriton he is having for his rash!...... Overall I would say he is doing better though so hopefully we r past the worst of it now xxx

How often are you having appointments now ladies? I don't see the midwife at all now, and haven't done since 16 weeks, I am seen by the obstretician at the hospital every 4 weeks so next due at 32 then 36 weeks but the book I have been reading says appointments should be every 2 weeks now, is that right? Suffering with achy feet from the afternoons onwards now so have to do all my work and stuff in the mornings, is this normal for now, not sure as first pregnancy!
