******August 2014 mummies******

Hi ladies I've been trying to catch up but it's an age since I've been on here. Hope your babies are all growing well. I'm 23 weeks now but look like I'm term so feeling massive. 9-10 weeks left at work but think I'll be taking a break this week as my back went Saturday and now I'm in agony. :( seems my nausea improves and then the pain hits. Not enjoying this pregnancy much but know it's all worth it :) xx

Morning ladies and congrats those that have reached 24wks.

Got gestational diabetes test at 9 this morning and other half has got up early so that's longer to feel hungry till I can eat around 11.30!

Started getting soreness in my bum bone area, really hope it's not the start of spd and that it's just from overdoing the house packing and cleaning. My sister had spd really bad with her two, was in a wheelchair with second towards end.

Oh no! Hope it's just from over doing it Kaffee. Sip water see if that helps while u wait for GTT, and take a sandwich to eat as soon as it's done.

15weeks left at work for me :-( sounds like forever

Hi purplesocks- nice to hear from u! Sorry about your back hun- hope that eases up v soon!

Kaffee- good luck for GTT! Hope it goes quick so u can eat soon!

I had a really uncomfortable bump and period cramps last night when I went to bed :-/ Worried me, but its def better this morning! It was like little man couldn't make his mind up what position he wanted to b in as he was wriggling all over the place when I was trying to go to sleep! Anyone else getting period cramps? Braxton Hicks were pretty uncomfy yesterday too! Getting fed up of always worrying about something *sigh* xxx

Lil miss sounds like your a lucky one near a good hospital! :) x

Purplesocks sounds like you've had it rough but like you said will all be worth it in the end x

Kaffee I hope it's just over doing things for you x I get a lot of pain in my pelvis if I've done quite abit of bending while doing housework I find walking actually helps quite a lot if i sit if makes more painful! It's improved since I started work :/ x

MrsM I bet the next 15 weeks fly by and you will ask us where it's gone when it's over! X

I can't wrap my head round the fact I'm nearly 25 weeks already :) some how the last 15-17 week wait doesn't seem as long as it did in the start! I'm so excited to meet our little man! But I think I have enough to keep me busy till then now! X

Just got back from day unit..... Tummy kept tightening up again and wouldn't die off- rang and they said to go in! Thankfully all seems ok- more than likely braxton Hicks and got to manage them with paracetamol, baths, hot water bottle etc and go back if needed. Feel a bit silly but they did say they would rather I cone in and it all be ok than not! Just never had my tummy go this tight, this early in pregnancy and not relax again for ages!! Not nice!..... Here's hoping they settle down- another 14 weeks of this isn't going to b much fun! Xx

Yes better to be safe and have it checked out. Hopefully just a one off.
I didnt get any BH with my first but must be quite odd and scary at first!

Im having a bad day with SPD so much that i cancelled all my plans today and being a sofa slob (as much as you can with a 2 year old causing chaos. If you could see my front room now you wouldnt believe the chaos she has caused in the such a short space of time. Little monkey lol . Makes me laugh though which is better than this morningwhen i was just crying. Dunno how im going to get through another 16 weeks with this pain x

I've been having BH since about 20 weeks- not like this though! Hence my worry!

Sorry u r in so much pain hun :-/ U should c my living room too.....Ethan has covered it with Lego duplo, books, his wooden train and set and his Thomas the tank engine stuff! I put him upstairs for a sleep coz he started playing up and kicking things around! (Think his days been a bit unsettled seeing me cry earlier and then having to go off with his dad whilst I went to hospital). He is asleep now and I'm just slobbed out on the sofa trying to ignore the mess!! X

Aww bless you hun. Yeah they do pick up on it i think. Gladall is ok though.

Haha sound very much like mine just add fluff from a cushion that the little dog destroyed whilst i was sorting her out on the loo and then her spreading it around like snow add a few straws - scrap that a load more straws as i type!!! haha x

Lol! They seem to love chaos! .....Not sure how I'd cope with a dog too!! X

Try two dogs! Haha no idea how going to cope with a baby too. Little dog is still only a puppy (a rescue one) so needs a little behaviour training still. Its like a mad house here.

Evening folks, hope everyone ok.
Last nite at Jeff Dunham was awesome, when everyone was clapping and cheering bump was going nuts joining in lol.

Seen the new midwife today, she is lovely though when she saw oh she was like hi u ok ?? Turns out her twin sister is married to OH ex wife's brother - small world ha ha, but she don't like the ex wife either lol. But did say everything is confidential. BP PERFECT, nothing in my urine, and bumps heartbeat was loud and clear - 150bpm. She thought it was awesome we hadn't found out the sex lol.

Not seeing her again till I'm 31 weeks which seems ages away but not really when I realised I'm 26 weeks tomoz, so means next Tuesday I'm n tri 3 - like seriously how did tht happen lol.

Evening ladies.

Sorry to hear about your BHs causing you concern mum2be, glad you're ok. Hansam, hope your day semi resting on sofa has made spd better. Lanny good to hear your appt went well, must have been spooky that you had a connection with your mw!

GTT test ok this morn except for glucose drink, blurrrgggghhh was sickly sweet and medical tasting at same time, yack. Nice to chat to some other mums to be in the 2 hour wait. Will find out results by phone if positive if not by letter in next 2 weeks.

Kaffee - was bit freaky at first, when she walked in the surgery OH spoke to her n then was like shit, so me being me went what's up have you slept with her or someat or was she the midwife when u had ur son, and he was like no she's married to ex wife's bro, when we went in to see her she said tht her sis was married to ex wife's bro.
But she was really nice, she read all my notes cuz first time she seen me. I was worried before I went as last midwife was sooo lovely I was worried I'd get a horrible one ha ha.

Glad ur GTT went ok got mine in 2 weeks :-/.

Thank u Kaffee- been having about 4 every hour and its not nice......they just don't die off very quickly and my bump just aches! Hoping some paracetomol and a bath now Ethan is in bed will help and that tomorrow will b better!

Glad your GTT is over and done with- hopefully results will all b clear xx

Evening girls. I'm starting to know when baby is at the bottom of my tummy as it suddenly feels really really heavy!! Anyone else having this?

How we all feeling? X

Hi mrsm! I think I can feel when bubs is low down......think he might have gone head down the other day and that gave me the period type aches really low in my tummy! They r still relatively small though and its hard to tell which way round they are!..... I remember later on with Ethan I could tell which way he was mostly by kicks etc! Don't know y but have this nagging feeling this one might end up breech! (Prob just coz its not been plain sailing so far and I'm anticipating more issues! Lol!)

Def felt better today than yesterday! Far less braxton hicks and tummy a lot more comfortable :-)

Hi everyone :)

Hope you've all been well, and sorry to read about your trip into the day unit mum2b, hopefully plenty rest and some paracetamol will sort you out, must be so uncomfortable.
Hansam hope SPD has settled for you this evening
MrsM, I get this every morning.. Particularly when I go from lying to standing, it's like it takes a few minutes to adjust and for gravity to settle my stomach lol.
Lanny, glad you and bump had a good time! V random that you knew the midwife, such a small world !
Fx'd Kaffee your GTT results come back ok :)

I'm just back from a few days at the spa with my best friend, a few treatments and amazing food, absolutely loved it. Would highly recommend a pre-natal massage if you havn't already, had one Mon eve and as far as PGP goes i'v never felt so good! Does anyone know why I wouldn't be allowed in jacuzzi and steam room though? Used both and was only told afterwards that this was a big pregnancy no no, so a little worried :( however wee man has been wriggling around all day so I know he's ok in there :) My friend spent about an hour hast night with her hand on my belly waiting for a kick, nothing at all, until she went to the loo and he pulled a few karate moves :rotfl:

Back to work tomorrow, feeling v anxious about it and have absolutely no reason too. Really struggling to find the motivation for work, really really unusual as I've always absolutely loved my work. Needs must though!!

Sorry for long post :) xX

Hi Weezy! Glad u had a nice time at spa and happy birthday!!
I think the jacuzzi and steam room are just a temperature thing- think being in hot water (like really hot baths) can cause a rise in the temperature of the amniotic fluid and I guess that's not great for baby?? Other thought is they would make u sweat and maybe get dehydrated and dizzy/feel faint? I'm just hypothesising here- could be wrong! Main thing is u feel fine and bubs clearly is- so don't worry!

I think u get to a point with working when pg that u just have enough and unless u can adjust your job to be easier then u kinda just can't b arsed! I remember feeling like that last time! ..... Maybe try booking in some more annual leave if u can to help break things up a bit? Also remember 2 bank hols coming up :-)
