******August 2014 mummies******

OK I *think* I have everyone up to date on the front page that has posted in here to tell me which team they are. Apologies if I have missed anyone or got anything wrong (it's completely unintentional!) There are quite a few mummies we haven't heard from in tri2- or at least not in recent weeks! Hope they and their babies are ok!.......TEAM PINK and TEAM BLUE are completely level!! Well done to all those who have had their scans and stayed TEAM YELLOW :-)

Still team yellow as well! Can't wait for the surprise! Getting the baby's nursery painted today! Enchanted forest mural and when baby is born will add in fairies and princesses or princes and elves depending on the sex!

Sorry hun- will add u in! ......Exciting stuff re mural- sounds lovely! Proper fairytale stuff :-)

So glad I'm not the only one struggling with the toddler stage just now! I'm permanently knackered! Dh is away for a stag weekend and I'm worrying how I'll cope but my mum's on call just in case!

I didn't realise how many had stayed team yellow! I'm glad we have, but we've got 2 4D scans booked over the next few months so I hope we don't get a sneak peek!

Hope everyone is well xx

Evening all :) sorry for my absence... I have been extremely busy with university assignements and juggling that with my children being on hols from school, it has been challenging. But I have been enjoying having their company at home, getting out and doing fun things with them has certainly lifted my mood. I don't like when they are at school, the house feels very empty and that's how I knew I wanted another baby.
I barely got any sleep last night as couldn't get comfortable... How will it be like in tri 3 and it will be summer????

Congrats on all scans, glad to know all is well with our bubs.

V-day fast approaching for me :) x

Nice to hear from u hun!.....Glad u have been feeling brighter- despite the uni work :-/..... I am asking myself daily how I'm gonna cope in tri 3- def not getting enough sleep! Whether its worrying, being uncomfortable, needing the loo or indigestion/heartburn, there is always something disrupting my sleep these days! (Hubby snoring is another!!!) Xxx

Thanks hun, I am sure we'll all cope somehow :)

I have to say I am glad I don't have a toddler to look after this time, I remember it too well, although my 5 year old still very needy most of the time. The sun is shining in Edinburgh and the 2 kids have been playing in the garden for 2 hours, so it's much easier from that point of view. It will be you guys in a few years time :)

Xxxx

I think you're pregnancy has been hard enough without a toddler to chase round after hun!!

Anyone else feeling a bit pathetic?! I know I'm pregnant but seem to b getting puffed out so easily now and struggling to move around in bed or get on and off the floor/in and out of bath etc! Makes me feel quite pathetic coz I'm only 25 weeks!! :-/

Hi all, glad to see everyone's updates, congrats on the recent scans.

Lanny - so sorry to hear about your friend :(

Did not feel the baby move at all since last night and was getting really concerned so this afternoon went to maternity triage and they checked heartbeat which was fine, thankfully, I was so worried. They said I have ketones in my urine and I am dehydrated so need to double my fluid intake (how many trips to the loo?!) but just very relieved. BP slightly high as well, which is probably a mixture of worry and being dehydrated.

On a side note, I found out yesterday that a senior manager has approved my OMP thankfully, for those that recall they said I was 1 day short as the working week starts on a Monday! Big relief as financially it makes a difference.

Off to catch up on the rest of the posts x

Hi donnah! Great news re OMP and so pleased bubs ok! V worrying I'm sure!..... I need to drink more too- gonna b spending half the day peeing! Xx

Evening all, hasn't it been a fab day (hope it's been sunny everywhere). On my own this evening, OH playing game of thrones boardgame round at his mates, such geeks. I've been scoffing chocolate like its going out of fashion since I'm on my own, not good!

Went to see docs yesterday, she rung a cardiologist as she was concerned about my palpitations and breathlessnes. I ended up having to go for ECG and bloodtest at local hospital and she's written for an emergency referral for a cardiologist and obstetrician. The cardio said that SVT (my heart condition) does flare up more in pregnancy, hopefully nothing to worry about, hope I don't get put on high risk. Good to hear I'm not the only one breathless though mum2be, was thinking it was far too early to be feeling this way at 25wks.

Hope everyone has fab weekends lined up. I get to see my mum and dad on Sunday who I haven't seen since October, can't wait.

Kaffee- that must b worrying about the SVT flaring up but any arrhythmias I think they have to take seriously! Hopefully all will b ok and u won't b high risk!...... I'm seeing friends tomorrow and dinner with my parents Sunday :-) Enjoy seeing your family xx

Hi all checking in after a long absence! Hope everyone is ok. Been dealing with some anxiety issues recently, so been finding things quite tough. Also with little man being off nursery now its been quite challenging!

I'm finding it tough with my hips at 22wks and I feel I sometimes struggle walking distance and that I'm waddling but hubby says I'm not. Glad I'm not the only one feeling pathetic x

Donnah, that must have been worrying not feeling baby move, glad all is ok :) great news about your work too!

Kaffee, I am sure they are just keeping a very close eye on you to be sure all is well, hopefully you will just be reassured all is well at every appointment.

Allyackels I am sorry you have not been feeling that great, I have been down and anxious about things so I can understand hun, it is not a nice place to be, I hope the cloud lifts soon and you feel a bit happier very soon.

Mum2b, I know hun, I would have cracked by now if I had to run around after a mischievous toddler :) don't get me wrong, although my children are older and can self care like going to the toilet etc I never have a dull moment with them nor do I just sit around doing nothing, they still require a lot of things done for them and with them but physically is not as exhausting as having a little one !

I have been feeling very pathetic for the last week or so and have started to waddle too officiallymrsm ; I am consciously trying to avoid it because it is not good for you, trying to keep a normal posture, but it is automatic :/ getting off the couch
Is a mission and so is getting up from loading the washing machine... I feel like a fraud though because I am only 24 weeks and don't remember being this pathetic before?

I might require a wheelchair, a stair lift and a bath aid when I hit tri 3 at this rate:roll:

Thank u ladies! Good to know I am not alone!.......I too try to avoid waddling, easy to slip into walking that way! I definitely don't remember feeling quite so pathetic this early with Ethan- I was working full time then too! How the hell did I manage?!! So grateful OH is off for the bank holiday weekend!

As u can c from the time- its early!!! Got up for the loo and can't get back off :-/ My hips ache, I'm hungry, my nose is running, I'm sneezing, baby is kicking and I can't get comfy :-/ Sorry to moan but its seriously frustrating! :-/

Allyackles- I can appreciate anxiety problems as I suffer too :-/ If it helps hun u can always share them on here? I hope u r getting support and feel u r managing better soon. I'm having some help with some CBT- feel free to pm me if u want to chat xxx

My 12 year old niece said to me about 2 week ago..'you walk like you're pregnant now' and I asked her what she meant and so she showed me and it was waddling and I was like 'noooooooo'!! Sometimes I feel like the baby is really low and a weight sort of pulling down, I wonder what it will be like at the end!

After yesterday I am not going to complain about the kicking again, not even when he is keeping me awake at night, it was such a worry. Thankfully I have felt him this morning although not as strong, so keeping an eye on his movements. 25 weeks today, YAY :)

Ah mum2b, sounds like a rubbish start of the day for you. I hope things have eased as the day has gone by?
I woke up feeling very hungry today too, had a huge bowl of cereal, plus a ham panini and just had some toast with jam!!!! I don't know why sometimes I just feel like really eating loads :-/

Lots of Hugs to you :hugs: x

Think I might have to pump my ball up soon too- although I'm sure my 2 year old will think its a great toy and not sure how much I'd get to sit on it!!! X

Afternoon ladies, hope ur all having a good weekend. bump obviously likes being down South as constantly kicking and moving about lol, which is awesome.
Had a fab week down here so far seeing OH family & friends ( the MIL never referred to bump as a boy once - OH obvs had words).

Only downer to this week is I have been called the OH ex wife's name 4!times now, I have said if I get called it again I will cry. My name is Leanne and the ex name Rian (pronounced ree en), I understand they are similar but it still hurts, poor OH just hangs his head and it's not his fault lol.

Off out tonite with oh friends so looking forward to that, just having a relaxing afternoon now :).

Enjoy ur weekends xx

Aw mum2b, dad news about your friend, how far along was she ?

I am glad you managed to go back to bed and have some sleep, it always helps to have that extra rest ;)
