*** April 2018 Mummies ~ Tri 2 ***

I've just looked at cocoonababy. I'm looking at a poddle pod as a sleepy head is so expensive. Do you rate them?
I am fully aware that these nests have been in the news alot recently.
We got £80 for mothercare on vouchers for Xmas but just haven't seen anything i love yet x

Wow it sounds like you're all so organised! We've just started looking at pram/pushchair - what have you all got ot are getting?there is just so much choice! x

We ordered the mamas and papas sola 2. Got a 6 piece bundle with pushchair, carseat, carry Cot, adaptors, cup holder and isofix base for half price at £435 x

Anyone else got a low lying placenta? Literally feels like she's trying to kick her way out tonight.

We've got the silver cross pioneer and simplicity car seat from dd,we got it in red for her so will do fine for our little boy. Just gunna get one of those buggy boards for the back for little lady incase she wants a rest when were out and about. She does pretty well for walking to the park etc now so we rarely use the pushchair for her so hopefully will be fine x

My placenta is low too and sometimes I feel like a heavy pressure low down. Feels horrible if I'm honest. :( do you get that too? I have another scan at 36 weeks to determine if I will need a c section or not xx

It's just how I am to be ready tbh that has me organised but in all honesty i knew the potential for not feeling up to sorting things out after having my first and having had a section with him i know that if vbac fails and i have another one as well as 19mth old DS, I really do need it all sorted beforehand!! I even have nappies, sanitary pads and breast pads in already

I'm going to make sure we have plenty of 'supplies' (nappies etc) in before March just to be on the safe side. Like you mrs cookie, we're using DSs travel system. This is the pattern we have, it should be ok for a little girl too right?

I'd say that's very gender neutral.
Think I'm going to start putting small bits in my shopping x

Defo works both genders that cossie, its lovely! I was thinking about all our to dos in bed last night, think im guna sit with hubs tonight and make a to do list so we can get cracking. I dunno why i just feel like hes guna come early so want everything sorted by march x

I'm the same I want everything done by the end of the first week in March as realistically it could happen. I think it's good to be prepared plus we have Easter half term at the end of March x

Phew! Thanks ladies :) I thought so as the reason we bought it was because we liked the pattern not because we were having a boy last time. We thought it had a very 'Orla Kiely' feel to it...

I have a feeling this one is going to be later than DS but I don't know why! I still want be organised in case I end up having another EMCS. With DS my mum took about 3 weeks off after OH had gone back to work to help me out but she doesn't think she'll be able to do so this time around as they have lost a lot of staff and are currently limiting to when people can have off to less busy times of the year and apparently April is a busy month! We don't need to get much, just a new mattress for the moses basket, nappies, a few more bit of clothing and sanitary items. It's weird because with DS we had so much to do in the last 3 months and this time we already have everything! So apart from packing hospital bags there's nothing that classifies as urgent!

I love orla kiely.
I think my mum is going to book time off just incase I need the help when OH goes back to work. Otherwise it will be OHs family doing it all if I have to have a section. I remember even after a natural birth last time due to the episiomty I couldn't go out for nearly 2 weeks

I dunno what id do if i ended up with a section! We live 2 hours away from all of our family in a tiny village so have no one near to help and hubby is only taking a week off as his company only pay the statutory paternity pay and him being the only earner we can't afford him to just get paid that for 2 weeks so he's putting a week holiday in and that will be it,ill be all alone! Hopefully will just be like last time,i.had a lucky labour and all went well so hoping for same again! I do have little panics about having 2 to look after by myself but then with dd id never even held a baby before they passed her to me so at least i have a bit of experience on my side this time lol xx

I was the same It had been a long time since I'd held a baby and that was with supervision. My OH is also taking a weeks holiday his runs April til April so also has had to hold back a few days incase we have a march baby.
He has said he would do school runs and work In between of needs must. I guess we just have to take it as it comes x

Yeah Stacey especially if I walk any distance there's lots of pressure. Very uncomfortable.

You all sound so organised! Weve got A's pram which is red so will be fine. We have somewhere for her to sleep.

Cx

Next week once DH is back at work and out from under my feet I'll start prepping my hospital bag tbh. Just have some options for outfits ready for later on once growth scans show if she's as big as DS or not. Hoping she'll be a bit smaller. DS was 9lb 10oz.

For the people worrying about getting a section and needing help afterwards try not to worry. Everyone is different. I had an emergency section the last time and I was up and about 4 days after. I was managing out with the pram etc. I know everyone is different but there is no point in worrying until your at that point :)

Very true, theres no way of knowing how it'll go. Great that you were up and about, can only hope id be the same if it happens to me!

Hows everyone today? I think the nesting is starting here,I've cleaned the whole kitchen and downstairs bathroom with dd this morning and im on a mission to get all the cupboards sorted this afternoon! I remember last time getting so bad i literally couldn't sit down on an evening because id think of something i could clean instead, was crazy! Wonder if ill be as mental with it this time lol. Getting no sleep on a night these days, just toss and turn all night long, must be getting ready for night feeds! X
