**** April 2015 Mummies ****

Nothing happening here. Been out all day with my OH and son thinking it might be our last chance to hang out, just us three... however, at this rate I think I'll still be pregnant next weekend too!

nothing here either :-( its my birthday tomorrow so hoping she might put in a suprise appearance as a present!! busy day planned though seeing various family so atleast I will be kept occupied and out of the house!! knackered this evening, feel ready for bed already but also want to eat everything in sight! xxx

Poor us Rebecca! Our babies are certainly making us wait! Felt some movement way low down but have had those feelings since 28 weeks!

I am genuinely thinking i'll end up being induced again!

Come on babies, stop being naughty and let your mums meet you!

had some bad news tonight :( my fiances mum was found dead by him and his grandparents, its really suddem and she wasnt old or ill, hes devastated and in shock and ive no idea what to do really, so now i feel like baby needs to stay in for the near future :( xxx

Oh gosh Rebecca, so sorry to read that, my thoughts are with you and your family. Hugs xx

Omg Rebecca, I'm so sorry for your loss. Thinking of you, your fiance and family xxx

I am so sorry for your loss, I can't imagine with you, your OH and family are going through just now.

Cx

Ohhhh. I think things could actually be happening naturally! Argh! I think, THINK I've just lost my mucus plug - just had a good chunk of pinky/red discharge after waking with aching (dare I call it contraction?!). Still getting them now so going to start timing and then I guess I need to decide when to wake up OH and/or call the hospital and the folks. This is all very new to me!

ooh rooster how exciting...I timed for the first hour as was in denial, then when could tell they were regular, woke OH after 3hrs but that was after contacted midwife and doula to give them a heads up...if you notice the timings ramping up quickly then wake him...Im so excited for you... :))

Well contractions are lasting 60-90 seconds and coming every 5-7 minutes. My hospital is a good half an hour away so not sure whether to call now or not as this has only been going on for half an hour. Don't want to call and wake up my OH and get my Dad over for a false alarm.

Eeek. I feel like a right numpty. Thought I'd know what to do haha!

dont worry about it I was the same, I spent an hr in bed (always starts middle of the night lol) and kept thinking no, I was imagining it then another would come on...without a history to work out how long it takes you I would perhaps treat this as if its your first baby and therefore it may be more likely to be longer than shorter (unless you're one of the few that give birth mere hrs after first contraction!).

at this point my midwifes advised me to try and sleep (hard I know but even shut eye is better than nothing!)...I eventually got up and had a shower 4hrs later...use your gut feeling perhaps compare your timings in the second hour and if still regular and not increased you may have more time than you think.. storing energy is the main goal whether it be naps or eating...I kept to staple foods throughout labour (mainly cos didnt fancy much but my brain was telling me to store energy) so toast, cereal, fruit and nuts if you like that kinda thing and little and often just like pregnancy...

Im keeping an eye on this thread now lol...fx things happen fast for you...

Staying put for now, but got my OH up. Just waiting for things to ramp up a bit!
