Looks like another sleepless night-took cocodamol at 11 to help with the leg pain and now that's eased I'm laid in bed with nippy Braxton hicks...waiting for them to ease so I can get some sleep x

I finally got to sleep about 2.30 then woken up by my son at 6 x

Final scan day today though!!!

Good luck with the scan today Emma :-)
Oscar was a nightmare going to bed last night :-( Daddy has been taking him up to bed the last two weeks since he's been home as I'm just finding it harder to bend down into his cot. So of course when I had to do it last night with OH working away, it didn't go well....first attempt at bed was just before 6.3, he didn't go off until gone 8. We'd been to a local national trust place yesterday and I forgot the pram so ended up carrying and running round after him all afternoon so was really looking forward to a nice early night :-(
OH wanted me to get his mum over to help settle Oscar, but I was being far too stubborn and refusing to have someone else to come and put my son to bed, surely that's something I should be able to manage on my own? Cue major melt down from me and full on sobbing panicking about how on earth I'll manage with two on my own when OH more than likely ends up working away again within a few weeks of me having the baby (he spent his whole first week back at work 4 hours away after Oscar, he was 2 weeks old). He's since said he thinks I had some sort of postnatal depression a few months after Oscar, yet when I repeatedly told him how crap I felt and how much I was struggling at the time with him being away so much especially while we were going through the miscarriage, he just kept brushing it off. Maybe that was just his way of dealing with it all.
Sorry for the early morning rant, I've just been thinking about it all as I woke up so needed to get it off my chest somewhere, if I say anything to OH while he's working away he'll only get in a strop again :-(
Xxx

It's so difficult but you'll do a fab job, things will be easier when you can lift and bend again. I'm lucky in that although I don't have other half here at night I usually have my 17 year old who will help if I need him.

Gonna ring the pram shop today and find out if I can pay the last chunk on collection or if I have to pay in full first-either way il have the pram to play with at the weekend x

36 weeks today!
Hope you are all feeling a bit better than you have recently. Not long left for any of us now x

I was tossing and turning til 3am aa I really didn't want to give in and take a tramadol, but I did at 3am and thankfully managed some sleep til now. Hubby got up with the boys :) Although he is going back to work tomorrow so I will be on my own with them.

Good luck at your scan today emmam, we have a growth scan today after my worries about baby measuring small so we will see what he is measuring like today.

Looking after 2 will be easier once you can get about a bit more Jenni. Although I can imagine it must be difficult with your oh away alot. xx

Final scan done-officially discharged from consultant care. Thinks my leg pain is probably sciatica and to go back to doctors if no better at the end of the week.
As for baby-he has jumped a full centile and is now estimated to weigh 7lb 2oz which means he'll probably be another 9lber if I go to term x

Glad scan went well hun!!

I do love a chunky baba! :) Noah was 9lb 9.5 xx

Glad scan went well x
Baby's bag is packed, just mine to finish off on Friday then we are ready!

Yay for being discharged from consultant care emmam, what a fab weight baby is too!

I had my growth scan this morning and baby weighs just 3lb 8oz at 32+6wks and well below the 10th centile. They are more concerned that his tummy measurement was on the 3rd centile and 3 weeks behind. Ended up seeing a consultant who wants to do another fluid and placenta check next week and another growth scan the week after! He also did a brain blood flow scan which was fine. He did mention twice weekly ctg's but because baby is moving lots at the mo I don't need those, but any signs of reduced movements I need to be checked asap. Feeling even more further away from my homebirth now, but I would do anything to keep baby safe.

Not had to take any painkillers during the day again today so fingers crossed I can manage the pain without them at night too. I have got omeprazole tablets today for my heartburn so one less pain to worry about too xx

Aw hun!
I'll be gutted for u anout not being able to have the HB.
But like you said, u'd rather him be safe and if that means hosp birth then so be it i guess. Birth plans ayy!!!!!
FX all is well though anyway and next scan results show an improvement and consultants happy xx

I know, I don't why I bother having a birth plan as it never happens anyway lol
I have my SOM meeting next Thursday so I will see what she says about it all. I know it is all putting hubby further off from a homebirth which isn't helping.
I think if he stays growing at the rate he is then I would be happy to birth at home if over 40 weeks. Anything under and I would worry he was too small so would probably go to hospital, that's if I even get that far because if he isn't growing then I guess they will want him out earlier.
Too many what ifs for my anxious mind at the mo! Lol xx

I hate bloody what ifs!!!

See what SOM says next thurs! Mines also nect thurs too!!
And then what ur next scan shows and c whats what from there!

FX though!!! Xxx

So do I! I'm feeling relatively calm about it all this morning. I still need the tramadol to get to sleep and stay asleep but only 1 tablet. Other than that the pain is back down to a managable level during the day. Hubby's 1st day back at work today though and I have to look after the boys on my own so hopefully I don't over do it and hurt myself xx

Noahs and I have been unwell all week..

Just thought he had the same cold as me.. Lastnight he had a temp of 39.4 so popped my light on to give him some medicine and hes COVERED in chicken pox :( bless him!!!

I had them young so im alright, but god every time i look at him more appear :(

I had them really badly, i hope he isnt the same. I actually thought he had the fly as my mum, step dad and brother all have it. But i guess he was just unwell which i know u can be before the spots appear :(

I've woke up with a husky voice...no pain or anything I just sound like I smoke 40 a day.

On the plus side I pick my pram up tomorrow

Aww hope Noah doesn't get too bad with the chicken pox. Neither of mine have had it yet.

I've had one of those types of days where everything has gone wrong. Went to the loo and came down to Harry having drawn on 3 sofa cushions, my dining room table, wooden toy box and leather computer chair along with putting about 30 holes in the leather chair, saying he had popped it! Thankfully my mil came and took him for 3hrs and James has napped has had chance to relax a bit, but I am ready for bed already! xx

Poor Noah. Hope it doesn't get too bad for him.
Anyone experiencing an increase in discharge? I've hardly had any so far but past couple of days I've had quite a noticeable amount.

Me! I've had quite a bit all along but now feels like I'm wetting myself! Have to keep checking it's not leaked through onto trousers lol embarrassing!
