So i'm back from our honeymoon and 13 weeks today! Scan is tomorrow at 12.45, last scan had me due on the 15th May but i'll see what they say tomorrow i'd quite like to set up camp in tri 2 now so I'm hoping I don't get put back again!

Babyslog how are you feeling now? I bet that was so scary for you. Hope they send you lots of vouchers and a big grovelling apology!

I've got my 12 week scan tomorrow too (take 2!) hoping I get to skip forward a few days!

Having a lie down while Oscar has a nap, been quite crampy and sore this afternoon so hoping a rest eases it off a bit. We've had quite a busy weekend so probably just done a bit too much.

Need to get our announcement photo sorted when he wakes up! We'll set Oscar up in his brother tshirt and spell out 'big brother' with his building blocks again, hoping he smiles this time!! Xx

Aaw yay I bet it's so lovely hearing that sound.
I brought a Doppler off OH's cousin for £10, it's naff, I can't find a thing with it. It doesn't even pick up our own heartbeats lol. Xx

Aw god what a waste! Have u tried using gel or anything? I bought ultrasound gel online.

I have the angel sounds one. I only paid 99p for it off ebay!! Bought it for my 1st pregnancy! I love it xx

I hadn't thought of gel. Isn't it quite expensive though? Almost feel like if be better of just buying a decent one new or just not bothering lol. It's a Summer one, the reviews I've read since aren't the best tbh! Xx

Angel sounds works with gel or watee. But its clearer with gel.

I got a big bottle for a few quid on evay n its lasted me both pregnancies xx

I'll have a quick look on eBay and see if I can get some might as well give it a go as I've got it already. And if the gel doesn't work, I'll just have to buy a better Doppler xx

I heard the baby on mums Doppler today only briefly and it wiggled away!!

I'm having a major internal debate today. Do I want to know the sex of the baby? I don't think I want anyone else to know... So I think it would be our secret.... But we did team yellow last time, so maybe it would be good to know? To prepare? I'm terrified of feeling a moment of disappointment if it's not a girl - whereas I won't care when it's here!!! Argh!!!

For me, im having an early 16wk gender im really that badly impatient lol! So i dno how id cope waiting till birth!

See hos you see closer to your 20wk scan. U can always ask the ultrasounder if u can see.. & if its 100% clear to them then decide! Xx

Yeah but will I see when they do?! I'm going round in circles and it's really stressing me out. Ridiculous. But once you know, you can't un-know. But if we don't ask, then we lose that opportunity to. ARGH!!!!

They wont show you or make it obvious if u dnt want to know.
Maybe go in and once they had done all the measurements and checks ten ask can you just see if its obvious. If it is, tell us (if u wanted to know) but if u dnt they will make sure they dodge it.

Noah was yanking on his willy tho before she even told us lmao! But i already new from our early gender anyway xx

They won't tell us the gender in our area, the sonographers say they can loose their job if they reveal gender!! Yet in the next town, they ask if you want to find out?! I was gutted when I went for my 20wk scan with my son, I really wanted to find out so persuaded my OH to let me ask, she point blank refused to tell us! I was quite glad of the surprise as it turned out. Although we were both pretty sure we saw boy bits during the scan lol, turned out to be right!!

I'm finding out this time with an early gender scan. I'll still ask them to check at the 20wk scan, but pretty sure they won't.

I'd say the same as babyslog. Go in and ask them to tell you if it's really obvious, but keep it a surprise if their not sure. That way, you're not building up your hopes too much either way, it all depends on what they can see on the day.

It's such a big decision to make!! Xxx

We're staying team yellow, but understand you're dilemma. If you don't ask at the 20w scan and then come out feeling disappointed, is there anyway you can book another scan to find out, if you don't feel disappointed then you know you're ok with not knowing - if that makes sense. Or get sonographer to look and maybe write it down, then you can decide later if you want to read it, no pressure at scan.Really hard.

I'm really keen to find out the gender. I'm so impatient! Plus, by the time you get to number four it's harder to find names that you like and practicalities with long term sleeping arrangements as someone will have to share a room

Haha Sarah I guess it would be!! We're only on number 2 so it's not too bad here just yet!

Ah bobkat whilst that sounds very sensible, I know my OH won't pay for a private gender scan. But I suppose you have to give in to the needs of a hormonal pregnant woman, don't you?? The problem with our scan room is there's a screen on the wall infront of us that they don't hide. So last time, sonographer didn't look down there at all so that she didn't accidentally show us!!!

I didn't want to know last time but by 25ish weeks I was so irritated that I didn't know!!

I've said maybe we'll flip a coin on the day and decide that way!!!

Catching up again it's all a bit manic since we got back! We had a lovely time thank you, definitely very relaxing, and luckily all the nausea was gone by week 2 so I really enjoyed myself!
Scan day today woo!!!! Finally we get to tell people with an actual picture!!
We're staying team yellow. We'd like the surprise, plus we're not bothered either way. Saying that, DH announced on saturday that he wants a girl, so he needs to get that out of his head sharpish!

Hi everyone been busy last few days so I've been a bit MIA. I've started with irrational fears (there's a post on it on the board and I just feel really emotional all the time

We're going to find out if we can but insert if ONE MORE person says "you'll be wanting a girl this time" I'm going to hit Jen
Over the head with a sledgehammer! I don't care what we have. Yes, a girl would be nice... It would be nice to have the set and not be surrounded by boys, but there's also something vey nice about having two boys so either way will be good.

Mind if we had a girl hubby wants to call it leia... We have a son called Luke, that is so not bloody happening!
