You can't get chicken pox twice and coming into contact with chickenpox as an adult (having had chickenpox as a child) won't give you shingles.

Shingles is caused by the the virus being dormant in your system and doesn't occur due to re-exposure, it occurs spontaneously.

If you're worried honey, then stay off, but I honestly don't think there is a risk if you've already had them.

Today's scan was ok. Womb lining thickening and follicles growing on both left and right ovaries - but they wouldn't tell me how many. Got more Gonal F as I was running low and I'm due back in for another scan on Friday. They said I should be ready by then so mayber triggering over the weekend and ER early next week. Eeeeek!!

Been feeling very emotional lately - not sure if its the hormones from the medication or the nerves/anticipation of the treatment cycle. Did anyone else cry at the drop of a hat while stimming?!

I could cry shout scream all at the se time. Hormonal is not the word.
Update on chicken pox : been told to have week off until testing and see from there . A collegue of mine caught hockey pox for the second time and miscarried. Head wanted to originally move me out into a different class bit ended up deciding week off was for the best. X

Feel like both my injections today haven't gone into my system properly.... This mornings Cetrotide I was getting rid of the air bubble and feel like I squirted half the drug out by mistake and this evenings Gonal F I bled afterwards and now it feels hard where I injected like all the drug is just there in that one spot.... And I'm still really emotional and now I'm really upset that I've messed up my injections today.

moley i did that loads. and when I was DR it seemed every time we had the DR drug half of it leaked back out afterwards

all I can say is that everything was fine. Someone on here reassured me that the tiniest bit coming back out looks huge and it must have been that as they did what they were meant to

I had lots of bleeds after injections on all my cycles too but the drugs got in there fine

big hugs, it's such a tough time but you will get through xxx

Hey Moley, glad all's well apart from u feel in down, it seems as if u will be having ET early next week then. I've just received all my medication it's in the fridge waiting to be used there's loads I'm overwhelmed by it. How do u find doin injections I'm scared of it can't imagine being able to put it in. I got AT this morning too so started on my contraceptive pill so on that for 15 days then have to ring up. Feel in calm at the min just bit worried over all the meds... they gave me an injection pen did u have 1 of them? X

Moley I wish I could make you feel better but I remember feeling more and more despondent and unhappy through the stim phase every time. A lot of it is hormones and just how important this is and how scary. All I can say is once you get to ec and get some different drugs it perks up quite a bit and you feel better. You're doing an amazing thing but it's so tough on your body and your mind xxx

Gemma yes my Gonal F comes in a pen and so is the ovitrielle (not used that one yet). The Cetrotide comes with its own syringe pre filled with saline and a bottle of powder that I have to mix myself. I'm crap with it and sit there for ages with a bit of skin in one hand and the needle in the other literally psyching myself up to do it. The more low I feel the worse it gets for me so try to keep in positive spirits.

Another scan tomorrow and hope my follicles are still developing well and my lining is still thickening.

I know I'm nervous of the injections. Is the pen easy to use? They gave me a DVD to watch but it will all be in Spanish no doubt, luckily my friends just had ivf here so she's coming to help me set it up, she's waiting on her fluid going before a fet with 1 blast x

Hi all,

My egg retrieval will be on Monday... Eeeek!! I'm to take Gonal F tonight as normal, cetrotide tomorrow morning as normal and 1 more Gonal F tomorrow at 6pm. They will call me later today to tell me when to trigger with my Ovitrelle it will be between 10pm and 2am in the morining and I have to take it at the specific time. They're calling me later with the time. I am going to a show tomorrow night with my OH we have had the tickets for months - I might need to bring my injection with me!!

I'm starting to feel weird - kinda full and crampy. Walking slower than normal. I guess its due to the size of the follicles now? They wouldn't tell me exactly how many and what size but they seemed pleased with the what was there.

Ah great thanks, and excited for ur egg retrieval hope they get lots of follicles, no way u have to take it between 10 and 2 this things are very precise arnt they! How long was u on injections for then? X

I have to trigger at 11.30pm exactly as it affects the time of the egg retrieval. Eek have to take it with me as show will be just finishing then.

I was on Gonal F from Friday 8th March so it will be 2 weeks and a day. I was on Cetrotide from Wednesday 13th March so it will be 11 days.
