Moley, 12 eggs is excellent and 8 embryos is wonderful. It's almost exactly what they aim for on a perfect cycle so it's all going really well. Are they aiming for blast transfer with that?
Just heard from clinic - 8 of the 12 fertilised!! I'm actually in a daze right now. ET on Thursday or maybe Saturday if by Thursday the quality is good.
Thank you so much guys!! I'm so happy. But I keep worrying about what can go wrong now at this stage stay positive stay positive stay positive stay positive!!
Yes they have booked me in for ET on Thursday at 11am but said depending on quality they might do it at day 5 on Saturday. Here's hoping they keep growing well.
Hi ladies, I am started IVF and have my first appointments booked on 9th April then consultation on 15th April. Is there any advice/questions I should be asking in particular? Obviously I have a long list already. I am excited, nervous and can't wait to get started. You are all so strong in what you are going through x
Hi helven, what is the problem with u guys? I'm not sure too much what u can ask other than the obvious stuff of how long it will take, how many eggs they would recommend, what's the process etc, good luck with ur appointment, r u goin private or nhs? X
Hi Gemmainthesun, I have PCOS and we are going private. I got AF today so just booked my pelvic assessment scan for next week. What stage are you at? X
So embryo transfer was this morning at 3 days. Not Saturday. They didn't say why they chose day 3 over day 5 and I was so freakin nervous I forgot to ask. I had 2 embryos put back - 1 was 7 cell grade 4 which they said was really good quality and 1 was 6 cell grade 2/3 which was ok - good. The other 6 were a little slow so they're going to let them grow over the next few days and see how the do - if any are are good enough they will freeze them.
This is it ladies I'm officially in the 2 week wait!! Eeeeek!!
Wow well done on getting this far Moley that's an achievement in itself and remember that, u know now that ivf will work for u. Did they say when u can test is it 14 days? Can I ask how long that's been from when u started to now? So from day 1 of contraceptive pill? I really hope this will work for u I have everything crossed xxx
Gemma I started the pill on 18th February for almost 3 weeks - stopped on Friday 8th march where I started on Gonal F. Took Gonal F for 2 weeks till Saturday the 23rd March. Started Cetrotide on Wednesday 13th March till Saturday 23rd March. Triggered with Ovitrelle on Saturday 23rd March. Egg Retrieval was Monday 25th March and Embryo Transfer today 28th March. Good luck with your cycle!!
After transfer I was afraid to move - I just wanted to lie there thinking if I moved they'd move!! I went to acupuncture this afternoon after transfer and now just relaxing and trying to stay calm.
Ohhh good luck moley, I have got everything crossed for you and praying for another lttc bfp!! I've just started accupuncture and it defo helps calm you and I also think it will help the uterus etc be strong. Good luck hun x
Good luck moley I have everything crossed for you. As ld says acupuncture is great even if it just relaxes you. Looking forward to your announcement xxx
Ok Im extremely bloated since ET... Is this normal?! I was a little bloated after Egg Retrieval but it seems worse now and my stomach is distended. I look like I'm 4 months pregnant and I can't even hold it in. Is this normal?! I'm still quite gassy fom the Cyclogest Pessaries which I'm on twice a day but the trumping and now burping are not alleviating the bloating.
I've been taking cyclogest since ov for last 2 cycles when i caught on the second. Since 10dpo (when i got bfp), I've been very bloated to the point where i had to buy a size up of trousers as I'm so uncomfortable. 2 weeks on and the bloat is still there. I don't think its just the cyclgest, as I wasn;t bad with bloating when i took it last cycle for 2 weeks. Hopefully this is the start of a bfp for you.
Boating is common after egg collection. Keep up your fluids.
You got a lot of eggs, you're going to feel it. Did you get an ohss fact sheet? If not look one up so you can keep an eye out for any symptoms.
Main thing to watch out for is fluid retention. It's important to drink lots even if you don't feel like it, but if you're not peeing much you need to contact the unit.
My bloat in first cycle (very mild ohss) went down when I stopped the drugs, although it was at its worst about a week to ten days after egg collection. If you get a bfp it may last longer.
Got a cold now so feeling a little sorry for myself today. Still bloated and dreading work tomorrow with the burping and farting. And I have no symptoms to even spot - boo. Luckily me and OH are away this weekend so I have a trip to look forward to!!
