The New IVF/IUI Thread - 5BFPs!

Really sorry jacq, gutted for you. Have a big hug xxx

Jennymarie great news on the embie, fx it gets nice and cosy in there xxx

Jacq I'm so sorry hun. Hope you're ok, I'm thinking of you xxx

So sorry jacq, take care of yourself and try and enjoy time off over Xmas as best as you can

Oh Jacq- i'm so sorry, my af arrived before my otd too.. it's a totally numbing experiance after ivf.

The clinic will want you to test on otd as planned and then call them, just as a formality, as some ladies can have bleeding and still be preg in rare cases.. eg two embies etc...

hope tonights show goes ok for you considering your terrible day, take a few days to ponder this all, it's alot to take in, and i'm wishing you a lovely xmas and a really positive 2013, even if it doesn't feel like it right now, you will find a way..... XX

JennyMarie - wow grade A embie.... wahooooo well done you, your finally in your long awaited 2ww..

Wishing you a happy xmas and a lovely bfp , whens your otd? 5th jan?

Some people do anything to put their feet up over xmas....

slimming meg - sorry af arrived, hope your referal happens quickly, by looking at past threads on here about referals getting lost, delayed and to wrong clinic from gps, I would make sure when you see docs, get the name, address, telephone number of clinic and find out from clinic when to chase etc.... hassle them... ha ha

Jacq, so sorry hun, ttc can be so cruel...thinking of you and our family xxx

Thanks JJ, good advice... yes I will. I know what the administration in these places can be like! If they can lose something, they will!

I have to say after seeing Jacq's failed attempt (which I had such good feelings about) and Lou's seemingly endless IVF journey, I am slightly worried about the massive gamble with this treatment. I know that, unless we want to adopt, there is really no alternative but to seek IVF treatment... but I'm starting to really worry about it :(

I've read that success rates of treatment to live birth is about 30%... that's crap :( especially if you've paid for it.

Why oh why can't I just get pregnant naturally!?

*end of rant!*

Jennymarie, that's amazing news will have everything crossed for you xx

Sorry AF arrived Jacq, thinking of you x

It's not great odds Meg , but it does increase if your younger , I'm 39 tho, I have to admit loosing a little faith in ivf myself after my 1 failed fresh cycle and my failed frozen cycle, but really do think it's just luck of the odds, a ivf lottery, the same as it would be every month on normal ttc cycles, it's just that it takes alot more to get to the 2ww on these ivf cycles.

We have had lots of failures, but don't forget , Rea and Zozie bubly both got their ivf bfps in the last couple of months in here, not to mention the two iui bfps as well Blondy and Laurat..... there is always hope when there is a chance....so don't get too wrapped up in the odds...

Happy as day ladies - How are you doing JennyMarie , how is your 2ww going.... when is your otd?

Merry Xmas all! Hi JJ - must admit finding 2ww difficult. Had lots of pains and cramps, don't know if its the progesterone. Feeling very bloated. OTD is 3rd jan but I'm gonna test on 1st jan as off work. So nervous to do the test as I know we can't afford another round, so this really is it.

Merry Christmas ladies, hope everyone has had a good one

Anyone hear any news from Lou??

I have - it's not good news I'm afraid, I hope she won't mind me putting this here, but you will all be thinking of her with her best interests at heart...

She got a whopping 15 eggs, sadley only 4 remained after icsi, and then had 2 good embies put back (day three transfer), and afraid it's a bfn today

Some things are just so unfair - it really was more than her turn

I told her how sorry I was and how we all really missed her - I do hope she comes back

Hi all, and belated Merry Xmas!!
Louise unfortunately got a bfn. :(. I hope she doesn't mind me saying but I'm sure she knows she is missed around here and that everyone will have wanted to know.
