Slimming world support thread.... Tips, ideas, advice and support

If you go online you can find loads of options for your a healthy extra. It's where I found out I can have soup for a healthy extra b.

Went for my run and now tucking into my apple, grapes and yogurt. I've decided to try out some red days next week to try and lower my carb intake because I've been doing mostly green days (no pennies means not much meat and veg in) so feeling a bit bloated and need some none carbyness in my diet.

I thought I was going to have to go off plan today as I can't go shopping and had no idea what to make but! Realised I had potatoes...oh potatoes!! So jacket spud with beans and cheese for lunch and quorn sausages,mash and mixed veg with gravy for dinner. Im going to put oil on the sausages to make them a bit yummier too as I have no idea what to have as my heb but might syn some butter and have toast as a snack later.

I've had a completely green week! Today was supposed to be extra easy.

How's the weekend going so far for everyone? I know that's where lots of struggle.
 
I am slacking slightly :samsmum: haven't been keeping my food diary apart from syns.. I hope I don't put on.. Will do it properly from tomorrow. Better late than never xx
 
I feel awful this week. Ive stuck to plan everyday but yesterday where I went 9 syns over but all these green days are getting me down. I can't wait till I have a bit of money on Monday so I can go shopping! Im going to be doing a bit of damage control tomorrow as it's LOs birthday and Im off to the Olympics so it's lunch box food all day :shock: As I say...it's purely damage control tomorrow lol.

Im still hoping for a 1lb loss on Tuesday though. Im hoping to do red days on Monday and Tuesday just to let my body recover from carbs!

Im sure you've done fine febmum. Youve still got 4 days till WI so you'll get at least 1lb. Don't let a bad day turn into a bad week :wink:

Good luck wannabe!

I feel total rubbish. Knew I was going out to lunch today, we never ever go out and it was my grandad visiting baby for the first time and he was paying. But it was so not worth it!! And why do people have to keep going 'ah go on it won't hurt' when they don't realise how much it is! The meat was yummy (had a carvery) but the roast potato was shit, and yorkshire was a frozen one and i forgot about gravy and the cauliflower cheese :-( o and i was given half a cider . I feel unsatisfied, and like I have totally wasted probably about 30 syns!!!!! But the stupid thing is why did I eat it? :-(
 
I have a cheat DAY every week on oh's day off and I still lose, I wouldn't worry hun xxx know what you mean though, if your gonna do something wrong you need to do it right iykwim lol Xx

I've been very good today surprisingly, also went out on a 4 mile run and then a 2 mile walk :)

Aw Hun, I know how it is to feel like that and it so so tough going out when you're trying to stick to this!! Don't let it ruin your week, it's only one meal hun and at least its something to put you off next time lol. When I was losing weight after my son 3 years ago I'd still treat myself to a take away every week!!! So try to not let it get to you, it doesn't mean you still can't lose this week, and if not this week then there's next. I stayed the same last week and u treated muself loads! but it's made me more determined to lose this week! Cxx

I used to go to weight watchers and lost 3 1/2 stone. Then over the past year I put 2 stone back on. I returned to WW only to discover a few weeks later I was pregnant so they told me I had to leave lol. I put on about 3/4 stone in my early pregnancy as i was constantly craving carbs. Sadly I have just suffered a mc, and over the past few weeks I have been comfort eating to get me through the emotional pain. I daren't weigh myself now!!! I am now slowly starting to feel better and have decided to join slimming world to try to shift some weight before I (hopefully) get pregnant again. I've also been told they will allow you to continue attending SW when you are pregnant and as I want to try to keep a healthy weight I thought it sounded like a good idea. I am going to my 1st meeting on 14th August with my best friend and can't wait to get my diet back on track :-)
Can anyone give me any advice on the diet as I have no idea what you do! Thank you :-) xxx

Sw is great because they let you do it while pg, but think they keep an eye to make sure you are not losing more than you should, but your consultant would go through it with you. When you go the consultant will go through the diet with you I find it hard to.explain but easy to follow cos I don't have to weight anything Yey!

Ah so sorry for your loss! :hugs: it's happened to me 3 times and I know how awful it feels!
This diet is perfect for me, you can eat loads of carbs so I never feel hungry!
 
Thank you ladies :-) when I was pregnant I couldn't get enough carbs so SW sounds perfect, especially for when I (hopefully) get pregnant again xxx
