~***September Mummies***~

You still look amazing now Bex, I bet you spring back into shape too, you obviously have great tummy muscles.

I can't wait for my dinner! I'm so excited haha xx

Thanks hun. But clearly you're mad. Had a photo taken today and I look like a weeble! :-)

Hi ladies. So went out tonight for food and bingo and have been getting what I think is regular braxton hicks. My tummy keeps going tight. I thought its probably due to adrenaline from playing bingo. Im all panicky now as in whwt if its not lol.
Im gunna keep an eye on it was ive had no show or anything else to suggest anything serious going on. Lol. I have no idea. My moneys on braxton hicks tho

I've been having painful/really uncomfortable braxton hicks for the past hour or so. Timed them and they're about 5 mins apart lasting a minute. I'm 5 hours away from home staying at my brothers house and they're stressing me out! I'm sure it's nothing to worry about but I've never had this before. Normally my braxton hicks are random and only 2 or 3 a day. Hoping it dies down soon

I'm another one with lots of Braxton hicks tonight! Mine are also quite regular but not painful, just uncomfortable. Not reading anything into it because it happened a couple of nights in a row a week or two back as well, think my body is just doing lots of practising this time round! Xxx

How weird me too- mine are roughly 3 minutes apart and lasting 30 seconds to a minute. Freaking me out a little as baby is transverse/ breech and havepolyhydraminios, keep talking myself out of ringing the hospital :s

I've been having BH all afternoon and evening!! Must be something in the air ladies! My stomach has gone rock hard so many times! No pains though.

Yeah mine just seem to be braxton hicks not really painful. Musta been the excitement of bingo! Lol! Oh well still got a while to go. Got my 36 week docs later today x

Hope the docs goes well Constantstar. I have 38 week mw appt Thursday morning (I'll be 38+6) and hope to hear squiggle is engaged but pretty sure I can still feel head so doubtful. Will ask about sweeps too.
Busy study wk ahead, I WILL get loads done!! X

Mine tailed off over night- thinking I may have over done it yesterday. Have my growth scan and consultant today, hoping things will become clearer and I will have a plan. Supposed to be going glamping in Cornwall on Friday with all my family, am desperate to go but worried the consultant may think it's a bad idea.
Oh well- what will be will be, hope you all have a lovely morning xx

I went away at 36 & 37 weeks for weekends but I'm low risk with no consultant etc..I guess you just need to be sensible. Fx you can go as I assume you have a bed when glamping ? I don't think an airbed would be easy?! :-)

I don't even notice I'm getting Braxton hicks now till I touch my tummy and its like a rock!! Seem to have my shortness of breath and increased heart rate back. My husbands sooo good, he does everything for me and let's me have a LOT of rest, but I feel so guilty just sitting on my arse watching. Little and often is key - I'm doing a mini clean daily so that everything is ok for when baby comes. Quick sweep and Hoover throughout today, might clean the bathrooms too, and that's it.

Hope glamping's ok Ellie, consultants always want to tell you no. I got told to give up work at 32 weeks - felt better at work than I have done this weekend not working!!

You feeling better constantstar? And how was the chicken dinner Hayley?? Oh ruined the beef :-( shrank and went far too crispy!!! Was still a nice roast dinner though :-D

What's everyone up to today? It's my first "official" day of maternity leave - I already feel like I'm skiving work and should be on my way there now, not lying in bed on my phone!!!!

Xx

I've not had many Braxton hicks since the really bad ones that freaked me out after my London trip. They got very painful and very regular but stopped thank goodness. Fully cooked as of yesterday tho so she can come any time eeeeek!

Chicken dinner was great, just what I needed and hit the spot :) shame about your beef tho :(

I've got to try and sort our bedroom out cause we're having a new bed this week, can't get rid of old one until new one is delivered as of course I can't be without a bed. I can't wait, it's much higher and king size so should hopefully make for a much better nights sleep. Gave me an excuse to buy lots of nice bedding too :-)

I know how you feel about the maternity leave, I felt like I was having a few sick days at first but I'm used to it now :) boredom hasn't quite hit but it is a tad lonely sometimes.

Hope the Midwife apt goes ok constantstar xx

Hogg are you going from a double to a king? I hate doubles now. It's amazing how much more space you think you have with jut a bit bigger hehe!! You'll need it though, they say the smallest family member takes up the most space and you'll have a very small family member soon!!!

I have a very naughty dog today. He's got a naughty glint in his eye, did a smash and grab on the cats food earlier and keeps stealing stuff.

On the plus side, baby wash is on to hang out on the line shortly - I love tiny baby clothes!!

Anyone have any advice on washing a sheepskin? I'm gonna go google now, but just incase anyone has any nice tips!!

Must have been the night for Braxton hicks last night!! They really freaked me out because they were really regular and quite painful. Felt really crampy when I went to bed but woke up fine this morning. Getting loads of lightening pains in my foof so wondering whether its just baby engaging? Have mw on Thursday so ill find out then I suppose x

I've probably mentioned it on this thread before, but my mum told me a lot of women panic that labours starting because of the crampy almost contraction like pains they feel when baby is engaging. Was baby engaged before? I got a lot of pain before baby engaged further, should be pretty much fully now I think!!!

How strange. I had tummy pains all night, going really tight. Still hurting this morning.

I haveapp to see Obstetrician again today. Not to sure what for, went last week and spent day in hospital amd notjing was resolved. Don't know if they think i need to be watched closer. Will soon find out.

Hope everyone has a good day. Tigger enjoy ur maternity leave xx

Baby wasn't engaged at all a week ago Tigger so think maybe that was it? They felt like how I assumed contractions would feel but no where near as painful. Hopefully baby is getting him/herself ready!! x

Ahh I'm sure it'll be fine sunshine state. They like to keep an eye on how your feeling so they can work out if there's anything they can give you to help out, and it's reassuring to see the medical professionals regularly :-)

I got discharged from the cardiologist with the advice of "tell your midwife to contact us if in labour you might need medicine".... Err, thanks?! I'm sure they could work that out!!!

Fingers crossed baby is assuming its position beesmall, how far are you now? (On my phone so no tickers). I'm not sure if I'm starting to lose my plug today or if I just have really gross discharge. It properly looks like snot, and lots of it, but not as thick as I'd expected!

I fully expect I'm gonna get all these things happen that make me go "could it be a sign?" And still go 12 days over haha!!!
