~***September Mummies***~

I must admit it has been quite difficult in this heat and I've been thinking I wish she was here :) only 8 weeks left hopefully not 10! X

Ooh exciting we're getting closer. Got three weeks left in work but 12 days out of that. Then i can spend some quality time with my boy through aug till he starts big school and baba comes along, plus it's his bday day after baby due. So busy sept for us lol Can't wait to hold her now and pray she doesn't come on ds bday x

I keep hoping my lo won't arrive on the 9th as that's my nephews birthday and my sister in laws birthday. I know it sounds silly but I want her to have her own birthday :) x

Arghhh work have asked me to stay another week until my replacement can start... i'll be 37+3!!!! OMG.... not sure what to do...

Oh no that's awful! Can u say no or is it one of those situations where you have to agree??

I've really struggled with the heat at work today. At one point my heart was racing and I felt sick and dizzy, was awful. I then cried the whole way home because u felt so ill and my feet were agony...I'm an emotional wreck! Only have 4 days left but not even sure I can last that long!

37+3 yikes! I suppose it depends how you feel, I know with how I'm feeling I'd defo not be able to go that far but if you're doing ok the. It's all down to if you think you'll manage xx

I'm struggling with the heat too.. our office doesn't have aircon has some crazy system that doesn't seem to work... and no fans allowed!!! I kinda feel like i can't say no...

I'm not sure how i feel about it... it's not far to drive and it's not a strenuous job but it can be quite stressful as i'm a customer relations officer for local council.... guess i'll just have to play it by ear... xx

Probably best to take it 1 day at a time and see how it get on. I can't believe there's no AC in your office. I would melt xx

Hey girls! How is everyone today?

Seonaid, sounds like a bit of a pickle, but honestly, they will cope if you don't do it, is it just an extra week? They could cope if you were on hols? I work in an office without aircon and its a nightmare. I finish at 36+5 but I'm taking lots of days off between now and then to keep me going!!! Don't be afraid to say no and don't let them pressure you - do what's best for you!

Had a consultant appt Monday with the cardiologist, had no more symptoms and my 48 hr monitoring showed sinus tachycardia (which is barely noticed) and not SVT, which is good news and means no meds! He keeps telling me to give up work earlier than I'm planning, because my heart rate only dipped below 100 when I was sleeping! But I won't just rest at home so I'm not giving up sooner than planned.

Gliding chair came today :) I insisted on putting it together before OH got home and it totally wiped me out haha. Looks lovely though, might take a picture in a bit to show you all!!

Good luck with the heat tomorrow girls, it's gonna be horrendous :-(

Xxx

Good news on the heart monitoring Tigger hopefully you'll carry on as normal and have no problems.
I can't believe how long the heat is going to continue, we never have summers like this and it's so typical that that this year I'm heavily pregnant in 30 degree heat :-( xx

yay for your chair and heart tigger lol, i now have a growth scan on friday cos this monkey is a fatty lol

Good news about your heart tigger :) would love to see a pic of your chair, I'd love one but got nowhere to put it really. I did get a delivery today too though, I get so excited about getting deliveries haha, got two grobags, top n tail bowl, breast milk storage bags and little lady's first toy - a Lamaze lion! I bought DS loads of baby toys when I was pregnant with him and obviously baba will get to use all of them but I thought she deserved something brand new of her own too! Xxx

Really pleased everything went well for you :) Great news. You must post a picture of your new chair. I'd like one. Where have you set it up?

I was back in work yesterday. I was sweating to death all day! Been off today as I was at the midwife. Not looking forward to tomorrow and the rest of this hot weather!

Are top and tail bowls worth getting? We were looking at them in Mothercare at the weekend and hubby was so confused and didn't think there was much point. It's so confusing with your first baby knowing what to buy. I need advice from people that have done this already!

Good news about your heart Tigger, bet you're relieved x

To be honest probably not! You could make do with just about any little bowl for washing baby, I was going to just get a small washing up bowl but then when I ordered the grobags from kiddicare they were selling top n tail bowls for £1.99 which I thought was cheap and I needed to spend a bit extra to get free delivery so I got one. I personally wouldn't spend any more on one though xxx

Oh ok. They were nearly £10 in mothercare which seemed a lot for a plastic bowl so will keep an eye out for a bargain, £1.99 is much more reasonable!

Been testing out our baby monitor, hubby has been reliving his youth using it as a walkie talkie haha men!!

Starting to get proper excited now lol :D eeeek!!x

£10 for a bowl!!! That seems a little expensive!! I've not even thought about things like this. After my exam next week ill start rotting properly sorted!! Baby purchases have to be the best kind!!

Amy - do you find it really easy to pick baby toys? I never have a clue what to get. Luckily we got given 2 bin bags FULL of toys, so have lots of choice!

Here's my beautiful new chair, all set up in the living room so baby can be fed and mummy can watch tv, haha!!
