**September 2020 Mummies**

I feel so out off breath lately my pulse is always high when I'm not doing much physically work and combined with pregnancy rhinitis I feel I cant get deep enough breath.
Anyone else?
My pulse jumps up over 100 very easily lately and I get worn out so quickly. I thought it was because I'm heavily over weight as it is without adding a baby into my tummy. I think I'm suffering with pregnancy rhinitis, it is driving me nuts. I woke up at 4:30am this morning, non stop sneezing and runny nose. Finally fell back to sleep around 7am and managed to stay in bed til 10am. Felt so bad not being up for the kids, but they seemed okay.

I’m with you ladies on the nose issues! I basically snore all night because my nose just blocks with bogeys as soon as I’m in bed - it’s gross!

back in maternity assessment today for another check up because I had some more preeclampsia type symptoms. Just sitting waiting for a blood test to come back as this time I had some protein in my urine. They are a bit mystified because I’m showing low level symptoms some of the time but not all the time and not all of them all at once, eg my blood pressure is fine today. I’m secretly kind of glad to be getting some quiet time in the almost deserted hospital though :rotfl:

I'm with you on the bunged up, snotty nose. Woke up and feel really snuffly today.

22w today, and itchy m definitely feeling it at the mo. Bunged up nose, hungry a lot but get full quickly, get really uncomfortable in the evenings, and going through phases of either sleeping really well or for only 3 hrs a night. Pregnancy, what a dream!

back potty training DD again so just got her running round in knickers and a top. She seems to be slightly getting it so fingers crossed.

Hope everything turned out ok yesterday Rose. Did they come back with any answers for you? Obvs not good you being the in the hosp, but yay for the quiet time. I said to my DH the other day that I just need an hour where I can't hear my DD. She's just constant x

@Rose how were the bloods in the end. Hope all was ok.

Great news about the potty training. Hopefully this will be her and will love wearing the big girl pants.

Evening ladies,
The bloods and further test on my urine came back ok and they concluded that my urine just got contaminated eg vaginal discharge can show as protein. So I was there 3 hours in the end and basically left none the wiser. They said to continue to keep and eye on it all because I certainly am intermittently showing some of the symptoms but there is nothing massively worrying at the moment. I’m in on June 2nd for glucose tolerance test so they said to get my blood pressure checked then too. Frustratingly last night and tonight I have also had right rib pain. Those of you who are second or more babies will know rib pain is common anyway a bit later, I’m not sure how common it is at this stage. But right rib pain is another symptom of preeclampsia and of course mine is on the right. I’ll see how it goes, I really don’t want to phone them again because I feel like they’ll think I’m a hypochondriac who is just going away googling symptoms and then coming back to them with whatever new one I’ve picked! Apparently the pain there from preeclampsia is related to your liver and considering I had bloods yesterday that showed no problem with my liver I’ve got to assume it can’t be possible I’ve developed it that quickly.
Obviously I’m not silly and won’t leave anything worrying if I think I need to call them but I feel mental at the moment :rotfl:

You are not crazy @Rose83 - just keep an eye on it. Glad the bloods didn’t show anything to worry about xx

Think I'm experiencing little bit off sciatica. If I sit for while my bum and top off legs are painful and feel tingling and numb. Its goes away. Only find it sore to get up. Never had this with rest off them.

I rang the mw and couldn't get through every time I rang it say person has phone off . So rang my clinic and got a another number for the area.
Our trust have stopped all appointments that wouldve been taken place except the 38 week one. I think it's also caused im consultant/shared care. She could see I was back to hospital in June. So al in all throughout this pregnancy I wont see my community MW till 38 weeks which I think is shocking.
She was lovely over the phone an answered few things I wanted to talk about . Totally understand with all going on but still.

Oh wow that is crazy how it is different in every area.
I have seen my midwife at every appointment so far. None of them have been cancelled.
Hope you are ok hun xx

Ttcno2 that is crazy. I saw my midwife for booking in and on Monday (22wks) to get my matb1 etc I had a telephone call at 17 wks. I'm seeing her again at 29wks and she did say I probably wont see her much after that due to having consultant appts and growth scans already booked in for 32 and 37 wks so no point being seen by her aswell.

To be honest my appt with her made me feel incredibly anxious as all she kept talking about were the risks I have due to bmi being above 40 this time. Like a general anaesthetic appt, the gtt, needing more than the 2 growth scans I already have booked due to previous small babies, I have a gbs sticker on my notes again and i might need to have blood thinner injections from 28wks til after the birth as well!

Ladies - any of you doing a hypnobirthing course? I have just started the positive birth company. It’s a digital pack and I must say it’s absolutely brilliant.
I have learnt so much already and only started it today. Never thought this whole hypnobirthing would be for me but I’m really enjoying it and it’s actually making me realise that labour and birth isn’t as bad as what everyone make it out to be. X

I do think it's so crazy the way they're handling it here.
I've 2 weeks to be seen again at hospital other than that I'd be booking a a scan.
I had the Group Step B last pg I must say to them again about another sticker for my folder (as I'm under the impression if uve had it before during pg ul get the antibiotics again, is that right @kanga86 )

I've seen there fb page @char and def considering it this time.

Been looking at ways to make sure baby gets in a good position aswel for birth although I'm abit out yet to be worrying about it yet. But going to fetch the gym ball out soon. Want this birth to go well and try and avoid some off the problems I had last 2 times.

Thread jumping Char but I'm going to sign up to that too. I always wanted to do hypnobirthing and theirs seemed quite good - I'll definitely sign up now if you recommend it! They have loads of good videos on their youtube channel too, and I think theres a book which I'll probably get too xz

I have been debating it for about a week as i just didn't think i would be interested or thought it wouldn't be worth the money but for someone that isn't into stuff like that i am REALLY enjoying it. The lady that is doing the virtual course has a lovely voice and she just makes everything so easy to understand. I definitely recommend it hun xx

@TTC no2 yes I’ve only got the gbs sticker because I was positive for it in my 1st pregnancy. Although none of my labours have been long enough to be given iv antibiotics anyway so seems a bit pointless. It just everything else I’m worried about, plus I still have no idea what is happening with work and if I need to go back on 15th June. Hoping they will let me stay off til I start my maternity leave.

If you go onto the page she is doing a one hour free masterclass u need to sign up. @Natalie8964
But for the whole thing at 39 I thought is quite reasonable. Excited to see what it's about

U will be nearing third trimester by that point so I hope they keep u furlough. By time retail opens here it will be July I hope. So i hopefully covered. Only 2 weeks and we will be in third trimester @chattychar1990. Crazy how fast it's going and still not one thing bought new for this baby. Not even a wipe lol

I hope so too, it’s just a nightmare getting through to my boss at the moment. Home shopping are starting work at 2am instead of 5am to pick the shopping, they are picking 20,000 items a day which is double what we normally do. So I understand they are super busy. Then click and collect runs til 8pm, so technically my boss could be in any time between 2am and 8pm, but still no one answers the phone! My midwife did say as I would be 25 weeks by they that she hoped they wouldn’t have me back in.

That is super crazy that you and Char are 2 weeks from tri 3! I’ve been slowly buying a few bit here and there, some Muslims, bibs, a pack of bottles that were half price, a few sleepsuits. Just bought a carrycot on eBay that fits my pram too. I have 6 more things I want to get plus the normal nappies, wipes, creams etc You still have plenty of time to get organised, especially as you have stuff from before.

I've heard good things about hypnobirthing but it isn’t something that I have done before. Although I had a traumatic 1st birth I’ve had 2 pretty amazing ones so I feel quite relaxed about the giving birth part. The rest of the pregnancy not so much, I find pregnancy stressful and ups my anxiety.
