She's doing good thanks, they're slowly weaning her off all the meds. She's got lovely dark brown hair with light brown highlights in it and it seems to grow by the second!! I might start calling her Rapunzel! I'm being discharged today but they've got some flats next to her unit so I'm going in one of those for a bit

That's fab, especially you being discharged, how long will she be in for have they said? X

Hi Everyone,

Just an update! Grace Anne Atkins was born on Friday 16th of September at 10.58am by C Section weighing 8lbs 2oz. We couldn't believe her weight as I had a small bump! Just goes to show bump size doesn't mean much!

I am recovering well after the section and was up and walking around and showered by 6pm on the Friday and was allowed home the next day

Grace has been brilliant - she's very content. We absolutely adore her! She was also born on our 1st Wedding Anniversary which was even more special!

I'm 5 days off Redhead and feel your pain. I'm fully expecting to go to 12 days over! I have a friend who texts me every day saying 'has the baby arrived yet?' - I'm just ignoring her now after being polite for a few days! X

Ha yes, the amount of people asking if I've had the baby yet.I've started being a bit sarccy with my responses, so well done on being polite!

Had our first proper family day out today - went to parent and toddlers followed by a family photo shoot and then an afternoon on the beach eating chips and ice cream had such a lovely day! All shattered now though and my scar is feeling quite sore so think I may have slightly over done it! Can't wait to see the photoshoot pics as think he got some really nice shots

Hope those of you still waiting for baby's to arrive don't have to wait too much longer!

How often is everyone's babies feeding at night? James is every one and a half to two hours which I'm finding exhausting!

Sounds like a lovely day

We had newborn photos done last week, I ordered 2 of the pics Liam wouldn't play so I didn't get any with him on

I kept over doing it and hurting my scar, take it easy , mine is still slightly tender but I'm pretty much back to normal, just counting down the weeks until I can start running - I'm so unfit - but I ran loads pre pregnancy, and apparently cardio is the best way to try and lose the overhang, so in a couple of weeks I am going to be dieting and exercising in any spare moment I have.

My boys feed every 4 hours but they are bottle fed so I know they are having 4oz each time so I guess it's a little different with breast feeding x

I'm every 45mins to an hour. It's killing me. My girls were every 2-3 hours.

Thanks everyone for your 'congratulations'. I can't believe she's a week old today! Goodness knows where those days have went.

Ouch! Every 45 minutes would be tiring!

Grace was every two hours last night which was rather exhasuting. The previous night she was up every 4 hours so it's just trying to get a routine. We're bottle feeding so sometimes she'll wake up and have a good 3 ounces and other times its almost like she has a "top up feed" and has an ounce and falls asleep. That was like last night when she was up every 2 hours.

Have you checked the flow on the teat? I sometime give ours a quick blow to clear it mid feed as sometime it becomes unobviously blocked which was sending the boys to sleep during feeds x

Sorry I've not been on to update, but all is good. Polly has woken up!!! She's off a lot of machines and meds but still has a tube down her throat. She was getting a bit restless this morning so after we had seen her they gave her a little sedative so she could get some rest and not try to gag the tubes out. Hopefully the tubes will be out tomorrow and we can cuddle her!!

Have been having a bit of a mare with expressing, don't get anything out with the pumps so am hand expressing, although I know I haven't been doing it nearly as much as I should be. I got 6ml this afternoon but she's so big I don't think it will touch the sides!!!! Hopefully when I can get her on me my body will go into overdrive and she will tskecto it straight away.

Hope everyone is getting on good with their babies and the overdue girls aren't too uncomfortable!! xx

Jacob is feeding 5oz 3 hourly he was going 4 hourly but the last 24 hours he's been looking for it every 3 hours. Hoping he goes back to 4 hourly cos that's too much feed in 24 hours lol
