* september 2014 mummies! *

Thanks Amy... there is just so much conflicting info about feeding a newborn. The midwife told me at the hospital that it was fine to go up to 6 hours without a feed at first then I've read that they shouldn't go longer than 4 hours! So its very confusing!
It seems like she wants to cluster feed at night..its so tiring..and sore!
I've got the Midwife tomorrow so I'll see what she says about it! X

So the health visitor sent us back to the hospital today as he hadn't put weight on this week and was still vomiting up most of his feeds. They reckon he has reflux which is what I suspected on Monday. So we now have gaviscon to try with every feed and hopefully that will settle my little upset bubba. Hate seeing him like this xx

Oh bless him Julie, must be so horrible seeing him in pain like that :( fingers crossed the gaviscon works for him xx

Well he's just had a feed with the gaviscon and he still spewed everywhere but he didn't seem in the same discomfort so I suppose that's a start x

Hi ladies! I haven't caught up on the thread yet, but wanted to say hi after finally joining the Sept Mummies club :-) For those that missed it, Henry arrived Friday evening after a very swift labour!

Look forward to sharing this next stage with you all :-) xxx

presume it's normal to feel like you're doing a bit of a crap job already? so clueless!
x

Completely normal - but rest assured you are NOT doing a crap job! The fact that you're worrying about stuff just shows how much you care about your son and want the best for him. Far from doing a crap job!

Xxx

Wow. That's a good weight. Glad to hear he's doing well. X

Thanks hun...hes defo a wee chub lol. Hes long aswell tho. Hows eden doing now?x

Totally normal Nic! I have regular crying moments thinking I'm doing a totally crap job, she's near enough okay all the time now, just I always doubt myself. Chin up - you're doing amazing!

Woohoo Sarah! That's a cracking weight!

Well, it's my first birthday as a mummy, all I can say is it's a very conserved birthday...just me and Olivia today not sure what to do lol x

good weight that, sarah!

amy, oh we're in the same boat then haha. thank you, as are you! happy birthday sweetheart.o
x

Nic I spent all night in tears last night as Violet just cried and screamed all night and I just didn't know what to do to comfort her. I had to give her to Hubs to calm down because I got myself in such a state! It is so hard...I think the hormones have a big part in feeling rubbish too!

Nice to see a lot more of us over here now :)

Sarah that's a great weigh, he must be loving his milk :)

Ah Amy Happy Birthday! Are you going to get a take away or anything tonight? X
