November 2016 Mummies - Third Trimester - The final countdown!

Hi Ladies, not able to join you in Tri 3 officially until tomorrow, but had my 28 week check up today. Repeat bloods, glucose test etc was all okay as was blood pressure. Baby's HB also fine, same as last time.

MW took first measurement this time and I am measuring 2 weeks ahead, she said that she would refer me for a scan but not to worry as 99.9% of women come back with no issues etc. Naturally I am still worried, anyone had any experience of this?

I just feel really self conscious as people have been telling me how big my bump is and now I am measuring ahead I just feel like i'm huge!!

Glad to hear all your tests came back fine!

I'm measuring on time at the moment. I think if your measuring over/under at several appointments that's when they refer you for a scan. I would try not to worry if your midwife isn't concerned xx

Scan was great. Lovely to spend some time with oh dedicated to baby no. 2, she doesn't get that much thought otherwise. She had both legs in front of her face and her arms wrapped around them but they were able to rub out the limbs in front with their machine which was fascinating.... We scanned with my ultrababy from Groupon deal.

Millers I'm guilty about your massage- I could really use one!

I've been diagnosed with an underactive thyroid so need to see a specialist at the hospital (should get appointment within 2 weeks) but it explains my rapid weight gain, out of this works tiredness and carpel tunnel syndrome! I'm so tired though that if I had the energy, I'd cry. I've been struggling with hormones too and lows doesn't help that o had a rubbish day yesterday which resulted in me, daughter and buggy covered om a Costa one drink and me sitting on the floor of highstreet in tears

Measuring ahead is ok, could be slightly further along that they thought at your initial scan although they won't change the date now. They will most likely scan to make sure all is ok. I just recommend having the hospital bag ready earlier just in case!

27 weeks today! �� Im so unprepared this time around. I've hardly bought any baby clothes, still havent looked at furniture, my 2 year olds bedroom (which they will both eventually share) still hasnt been finished, so still has no flooring or woodwork or coving done �� Ive got my practical driving test in 3 weeks so been busy doing driving lessons for the last 2 weeks.

I'm starting hypnobirthing classes tomorrow and I can't wait!! Been interested in trying it for some time now so hoping it will work out for us.

However I think my OH will be hugely distracted - they lady emailed me earlier and said there had been a mix up with the village hall booking, so we are going to her house where she has 2 10 week old puppies!!! Xx
