**** November 2012 Mummies **** (everyone welcome)

can i ask if any of you mummies are struggling or its getting you down with no/little sleep? xx

Yay for 4 hours Sazz, although with James 4 hours is a step backwards as we'd got to 6, 7 even 8 hours straight and now he has reverted.

Wilson, I stopped sleeping properly at about 20 weeks pregnant so I've not had more than 6 hours in one go since maybe June?? Most nights (even if James sleeps well) I tend to get 4/5 hours as I'll stay up and do some chores or I can't sleep  and then we'll be up. This can be anytime from 3am - 6am. I will get another few hours after a feed but it's not good quality sleep. Last night he woke at 3.30am had a feed and it took us until 5am to settle him.. 7am and he was wide awake... so I've had 3.5 hours, and then another 2 crappy hours!

Being tired mainly makes me a moody cow though, not with baby but with poor OH!

Some nights are better than other for us (last night was a bad night) so hoping that tonight is better keeps me going LOL!

It is common for breastfed babies to awaken more during the night hun and it will get better.

Wilson... Yes I was but its normal to feel down on little sleep. Don't panic about it too much it will get better. Also ppl are very quick to point out you may have pnd, but trust your own instinct on that as anyone would be tired and grumpy on little sleep regardless of whether they have had a baby out not, but trust your own instinct.
I put T in his own cot in his own room for the first b time last night. He slept from his 7.3 pm feed right through till 3.30 am was back down at 4 & currently still sleeping..there's definitely something to be said for them sleeping in their own room.
I would have kept Taylor in work me for longer, it was always the plan but he outgrew his basket & no.space in.our room for his cot. Lol xx

Hey hun sorry I need to what's app you back I keep forgetting as the twins distract me so much but yes I get down on having no sleep either it seriously affects my mood, i get very easily frustrated with the twins and more so with OH. Once I slammed a door so loud in an argument with OH and the poor babies (who had been screaming non stop) must have jumped as it made a very loud noise, felt bad after and took 5 minutes to calm down before coming back.

Its ok sammy, dont worry i know the feeling well.

Thanks for your comments girls makes me feel better , no sleep makes u feel psnts and my diet isnt good either :(

Well had the breast feeding nurse out today and shes been amazing, has put me into a routine from tomorrow, she told me that from 2pm-2am your body doesnt supply much milk so dont express in the pm, only from 2am-2pm, thats why arthur is cluster feeding at night, she wants me to give bottle last thing and first feed through the night. So fingerd cross it works.

My beautiful fella has just suprised me with this pressie ImageUploadedByTapatalk1358271126.200075.jpg

Best thing I've ever done. We all sleep so much better now including Cathy. xx

Love the charm Wilson, it's such a thoughtful gift :)

Madison had her 6 week check today and so did I, all is well and the dr was happy. I've been given the pill to go on but I'm not sure i want to start taking it yet?! Not sure why :/
Had baby senseory this morning where at the end of the class I was changing M and she decided to projectile poo all over her mummy!! Naughty baby! lol I was mortified walking out with baby poop on me! Ha

Haha bless ya mummy woody, i know how u feel arthur keeps pooing all over me, hes suffering trapped wind and i have to rub his bum with a cotton wool ball to stimulate, well arthur thinks if hes having no dignity hes covering his mummy in power farts n poo lol

I also went back to the dr today and he said he thinks ive sufferd trama to inside my lady bits thats why its still very sore and hes prescribed thrush cream to calm the irritation, if only they warn you of this before having a baby xx
Xx

Lovely pressie Wilson!

mrswoody I had my check today (and James has his and his injections!!)

I am also back on the pill but I've not even picked up my prescription yet.

I guess the pill is easier to stop taking when I want to TTC again than having the coil removed?

James was horrid at the Dr's.. We had an appointment with GP then the HV weighed him and then jabs! Well by the time we got to HV he was screaming blue murder, so much so they thought he'd already had his jabs. He was in such a tizz already but still somehow managed to scream even more when he had the injections. It was awful...

He has been very grumpy since we got home, and now he's gone to sleep after only 2oz's of a 6oz feed. My poor baby must really be feeling off colour!

James has only ever refused food once since he was born and that was when he projectile vomited (he had another feed afterwards as well)

I am going to join him in bed though, I have a feeling it is going to be a long night!

Oh poor James :( that sound like he had an awful time, hope your ok though.

Your right about the pill you can just stop taking it. I don't fancy the coil if I'm honest so pill it is.
x

I wanted the coil, no hormones, ;) but the dr said i couldnt with how sore n swollen my insides are, so gave me the pill however sexytime is the least thing on my mind and i havent started it yet, plus still breast feeding xx

Nat, james may sleep tonight, they say it makes them sleepy, hope hes ok bless him xx

@mrswoody - OH has a "lovely" picture of me after Aela projectile pooed all over me when she was about a week old! Says he's saving it for her 18th birthday... xx

We had our checks today too - weird huh? All fine for us but have to go for a scan apparently as I'm STILL bleeding. Doctor says I can have coil fitted but not sure if I have to wait until after my scan and also should I stop dtding. He didn't say but I think I will just to be on the safe side??

Cathy has been in bed since 8 o clock going down straight away for daddy after having a right battle with her last night until midnight - she kept crying then smiling when I walked in the room! She's got me wrapped right round her little finger lol xx ImageUploadedByTapatalk1358289665.994277.jpg

Hope your all feeling a bit better :) i spoke to OH about a few of the issues we were having and the past few days have been great. I must sat i feel ALOT better! I am just starting to feel normal again lol even though i still get no sleep!

Ruthie I am like you, if I could have another now...I would too.

M is grizzly as he'll tonight, he won't settle, I think he knows his jabs are this morning! Grrr.

Happy 2 month birthday Massan xx

Wilson, how thoughtful of Arthur :good:

Go TO SLEEP MASSAN ... Please :(

Morning ladies, first pit stop of the night. Hope yr all ok xx

Morning ladies,

Surprisingly we had an OK night... James slept from about 10pm - 5.30am and then he had a quick bottle and bum change and went back down until 9am. He's now just fallen asleep in his chair

I took him in bed with us about 2am though as he was so restless and fretful in his crib? Just before we got up he had a wee and leaked through his nappy (and baby-gro and grobag) onto the bed!! I think we need to go up to size 3's now.

He's been OK, no temp and we've had a few smiles this morning! I may just have a day in with him today? Although we'll see how grumpy he is later.. I also find he naps better if we go out for a walk...

He was weighed yesterday and is now 10lb 13oz (aprox) he was thrashing about and screaming so much they said to use is as a rough weight but they plotted it on the graph and he's now just in the 9th centile?? So all my worry about him being too big and feeding too much was for nothing?

I will take him to be weighed in another 10 days or so and see how things are then!

It is so cold in London at the moment. We never really get this arctic weather. James quite likes getting all snug in his pram (with rain cover on) and letting poor Mummy battle the freezing cold

We are down south for a few days n bugger me its freezing, not as cold up north xx

Glad the wee man slept through for you Nat! Wrap up warm! We've had no snow here as yet, I doubt we will either. Booo

Madison has had me in fits laughing this morning, she was all smiles and noises then all of a sudden started to whimper so I was trying to entertain her all the while she was then crying whilst having big smiles?! Lol made me laugh, felt mean for laughing at her but it was like she didn't know how she was feeling!

Well we've been out for a few laps round the park and I've picked up my pill prescription! They've given me an 8 month prescription so we'll see if I go back for a repeat after those

James is still asleep and I am trying to muster the energy to do something useful.

xxxxxxxx
