**** November 2012 Mummies **** (everyone welcome)

Sally i see from your other thread that you had a good 1st day whilst oh was at work? Well dons you xx

Taylor Elliot McLean, 15.11.12 8lbs 9oz. Lol
life b to be on here more, but so busy these days. Lol.

Taylor is a different baby since Sunday.... I was bf but poor wee man had problems with his tummy, we were out on infacol, then ranitadine for reflux... Butnothing helped, , it was getting worse. Switched him.to lactose free formula and what a difference. We can enjoy eachother now. Started him on it on Sunday, Monday night he slept 6 hours, woke for a quick feed then back down for 3 hours. Was bliss. Since then he's been going every 3.5 _ 4 hours.

Formula feeding us new to me, I was, wondering if anyone has advice... T is 11lbs 8oz now so should be taking 30oz pet day. But he's
taking more. Some days,32... Today since 8am he's already had 34 & its only 11pm what if he wakes for more? Xx

Yeah it was great! He's come home and been useless now lol played on his game all night except for a couple of hours when I went for a nap so I've been looking after Cathy - not only do I look after her all day and night but I don't get a break now either lol. I'm not bothered really though at least I got a nap so I can cope tonight, and we have Granny coming over tomorrow to help :)

So glad you can enjoy each other Robyn, it must have been difficult but at least you have it sorted now :) I don't ff but I believe guidelines are changing/have changed and you just ff on demand the same as bf, as much as they want when they want it? Not sure though xx

Aww lovely idea Nat.

I know Lyla didn't end up being a November baby but hope I can still join you ladies!

Lyla Marie born 1st December at 12:15 am weighing 7 lbs 13.5 ounces and 21 and half inches long xx

We've been doing well breastfeeding, OH gives a formula bottle every now and then so I can have an uninterrupted sleep although he still ends up waking me to settle her for him. Poor Lyla has bad constipation from the SMA gold were were giving her so had to switch to cow and gate. She will be going onto formula for when shes in creche once the new semester at uni starts in feb gonna feel so bad leaving her.

She gets weighed again tomorrow but last thursday she was 8 lbs 8!

Xx

Everyone is welcome Chloe - and Lyla only missed out on being a November baby by 15 minutes! Glad the bf is going well for you and don't feel guilty about leaving her, you'll be back before either of you know it and its what's best for your futures xx

Hey guys, Dylan John born 5th dec at 5.05am weighing 5lb (all the 5's!) Sebastian David born 5.07am weighibg 5lb 15oz. I miss our nov thread so this is a great idea! On the dreaded night feed now, my poor bubs both suffer with wind/hiccups for ages so just sat here with Dylan until his hiccups go.
Is it just me or do you guys find it difficult to sleep for worry, every noise they make has me up checking them whereas even now OH is already nodding off- this is what annoys me then as I'm the one up all night!

Hope everyone is doing well anyway, can't believe my twins are 2 weeks old!

Wilson sorry I haven't text you back yet. Been inundated with visitors but will txt u tomo x

Sammy im the same. Im ok if Olivia is making noises -she's a very noisy sleeper - its when she's quiet what scares me.
Sometimes i wake up and jump up so fast just to make sure she'd breathing.

It amazes me how in tune i am with her. Like i hear every noise she makes in the night which i was scared i wouldnt. And last week she was in the other room asleep and so was oh and i actually heard her be sick as ran to her! Xx

I was laid awake in bed for ages earlier watching Cathy sleep and I'm terrified I wake up one morning... Because that will mean she hasnt woken me for a feed (the first night she sleeps through I'm going to be traumatised!) Xx

I'm another 1 December so just missed out! Most of my labour was in November though!
Chloe Margaret, born 1/12 weighing 8lb8.5 at 952

Please can I join! I was close to November and would have been if induction had got its way!

Jack Callum born 30th October at exactly 8pm (8 days late) weighing 7lb8oz. Apparently Arsenal were losing 4 nil that night, then Jack was born and they went on to win the match! I was a bit preoccupied to care about football scores but its a cute story.

Hes a little angel all day long, loves his baths and being naked, has lots of smiles for mummy but come 8pm after bath time he becomes a little devil! He fights his sleep like you wouldnt believe! He wakes at 1am and 4am for a feed but chews on the teat and then takes forever to settle! Hes a very noisy sleeper too.
Any tips about sleeping through on this thread will be read with extreme excitement! xxx

Hello november mummies! All you tiny ones make me so broody and O is only nearly 5 months!! Honestly enjoy this cuddly stage it goes so quick! x

Hi kittyrooroo! Nice to have you here.

They grow up so quick, my nephew is 3 months and he's a monster compared to Cathy lol! She's dinky! (But I hope he grows up big to chase off any boys lol) xx

Yyaayy all the girls are back :))

Its ok sammy no probs, alot of the time i forget lol.

Well arthur is full of cold, bunged up behind his nose bringing green flrm up, coughing :( hes hardly sleeping too, wish there was something xx

Awwww lovely to see such a response ladies!

I am just going to feed and change little monster (who is stirring!) then I'll update first page.

We've got his BCG today... sob, sob!

Oh Wilson I hope Arthur gets better soon, I would hate to see Cathy suffering :(

Nat going to sound like such an idiot here but what's BCG? Probably something I should know about? Xx

Formula feeding us new to me, I was, wondering if anyone has advice... T is 11lbs 8oz now so should be taking 30oz pet day. But he's

James is taking 30+ oz's a day and he was only 9lbs 3 at last weigh-in. So based on on the "2.5oz per lb" rule James would only need 22oz a day??? He'd starve on that

I would take it all with a pinch of salt and feed bub when he in hungry.

James has 5oz every 3-4 hours in the daytime but he went 8 hours without a feed the other night (and slept for 6 of those!)

I was worrying I am overfeeding James BUT he is still so young and I am effectively demand feeding him.

I am combi feeding expressed breast milk and formula

xxxxxxxx

Chloe and Sammy you were always November Mummies.

Shoulou and Kitty welcome!!

So far boys are in the lead

xxxxxxx

I hope that dosent mean that we will not get to know 1/2 of the November mums...
I never check the specific month threads, a thought crosses my mind with a baby it's even more valuable to hear the thoughts on an "issue" from parents that went though this already.

Obviously the bond that you have with the other November mums is sth really important but I feel a little sad as the baby and toddler compared with the pregnancy gets less "flow" as mums are really busy to post usually.

I know that everyone is welcomed in this thread but if everyone is welcomed then it should be out there for everyone to read?
I don't think the mods should shut it down, if you feel that you all need a separate place to chat then you should have it but just don't you all stop posting now in the main baby and toddler section

Im here toooo....!! Ella Grace born 23/11/12 at 2pm weighing 5lbs 12

Sammy - i remember posting my 1st thread in here which was about been so paranoid i couldnt sleep etc.. now im just so tired i put her in her moses basket and im fast of in seconds lol!! I think its something that comes with time but will never fully go, i must say i still look at her and check her quite a bit but i no longer panic about her.

Ella was 5lbs 12 and birth weight and then dropped to 5lbs 4 as i bf but she wasnt getting any milk but i didnt know! She is 4 weeks tomoz and now weighs 8lbs! Lol im really pleased at her weight gain.. she looks like a really healthy little baby now. I was worried about over feeding to but the midwife just said let her have what she wants.

Its OH's birthday today and he wants to go out later for a few drinks so it will be the 1st time i will be leaving Ella. Her grandma will have her for a few hours.! I reaaaly dont want to leave her but i know i have to eventually! Im just really going to try hard to enjoy my time with OH as it might be a while before we get some time alone again but even as im typing this i want to cry. :( how did you all cope the 1st time you left your LO's? Im nervous

I love been a mummy so much, theres nothing like it. We are all so lucky :) x

I left Cathy for an hour with Granny at 4 days, big mistake! I was still quite hormonal and worried and cried the whole time I was gone. Then we left her with Granny on Tuesday so we could go for a date (after rushing home to dtd! Lol) and I was fine, you just need to know she's in good hands (after all, you know her grandma has raised children before!). But dont push yourself, if you want to go back to her go, you'll just upset yourself if you don't. Hope it goes well, enjoy yourself xx
