Formula feeding us new to me, I was, wondering if anyone has advice... T is 11lbs 8oz now so should be taking 30oz pet day. But he's
taking more. Some days,32... Today since 8am he's already had 34 & its only 11pm what if he wakes for more? Xx

James is taking 30+ oz's a day and he was only 9lbs 3 at last weigh-in. So based on on the "2.5oz per lb" rule James would only need 22oz a day??? He'd starve on that

I would take it all with a pinch of salt and feed bub when he in hungry.

James has 5oz every 3-4 hours in the daytime but he went 8 hours without a feed the other night (and slept for 6 of those!)

I was worrying I am overfeeding James BUT he is still so young and I am effectively demand feeding him.

I am combi feeding expressed breast milk and formula

Thanks nat. T is now 11lbs 8oz he's feeding around 7 times in a 24 hour period and is taking between 5-7oz per feed.... He's a really hungry boy!!
Last night he just would not settle... We did the bath routine and fed him at 8... He cried on and off and wouldn't go down till 11pm, then.wanted another feed... Had to rock him to sleep... He nodded off at midnight and woke at 6.30 am... I fed him... He took 7oz and guzzled it down...then projectile vomitted across the bed cover oh (he he serves him right for sleeping and leaving everything to me).
He's never vomitted like that before... Even with the reflux!! i'mthinking it was just coz he drank so quickly?? he's fast asleep now ... Xx

I miss my pregnancy skin!! I have come out in a few spots on my ace and its making me feel a bit crappy!
I think its my hormones and the fact that im sure my period is on its way - well ive been thinking it for a week now and did have some bleeding last friday which didnt last long.
Im sure it wi grace me with its presence just in time for xmas - and my 6 week check haha x

Woke up this morning and here it is - urghhh i have not missed this at all. I feel so rubbish and have an awful headache.
Anyone has their first period yet? I hope it doesnt stick around for too long xx

Nat if you dont mind me asking how much does james take at each fees and how often does he feed? I think im going to start making up 6oz as i think she's starting to need it?

Olivia weighed 9 lb 7 oz last thursday and takea 5oz every 4 hours. She has 6 feeds a day basically.
She's being weighed monday and will be 6 weeks sunday. Im sure she will be over 10lb - she's a right chunk.

I know that every baby is different but im just curious to find out wht babies of the same age or weight are taking. Ive never followed the guidelines to how much mill babies should take though xxx

James is about the same, aprox 5oz every 4 hours. Sometimes he'll be wanting food again after 3 hours (then I try to just give him 4oz)

The guidelines are rubbish and I am noy paying any attention to them, but basically it's 2.5oz per every lb baby weighs.

James would starve if I stuck to that! As I've always been bottle feeding (either formula or breastmilk) so I've always kept track of what James eats each day and he's always been a greedy guts!

I have the worst ever PMT, it took me a while to even realise why I feel so horrid but it's basically 9 months worth of PMT. Poor OH!

Oh bless Wilson, poor little man. Just keep him hydrated and have lots of cuddles. Did you try the saline suggested in another thread?

Well i did it lol, i left ella with Grandma for 3 hours last night and went for a meal with OH! It was lovley and i really enjoyed myself!

I havnt started a routine with ella yet but im not sure wether i should be or if its still to early? Shes a month old today!? She just wakes for feeds and goes back to sleep! she hasnt been awake much today which means im in for a fun night! Lol

Well its mad friday today and i coudnt be happier than to be spending it sat in with a glass of wine a few chocci biccies and my little ladie!!

My mum works at sainsburys and has just text me to say there is a half price sale on baby clothes! not sure if it will be at all stores but might be worth a look if any one is wanting to get any last minuet prezzies for there LO! x

Yay so glad you had a good night and spent some time away from LO - although its lovely being a mum sometimes you need to be you and not just mum haven't started a routine wit Cathy but I feel like I need to do something about her sleep, she is up for 2 hours every night like wide awake, I am totally exhausted

I had to go to Asda today. Never again will I go the last Friday before Christmas it was totally manic xx

I went into Waitrose today, it was heaving. I only needed a few bits and ended up walking out empty handed (I did brave M&S though and Argos though!)

I may have a glass of Bailey's later, I need cheering up.

I have been so miserable the past few days (PMT on a mammoth scale!) and James had a bad night last night so I am tired....

I'm dreading having to go shopping before Christmas again, but we'll probably need bread, milk and nappies its times like this I hate Christmas!

Have your glass of Bailey's Nat it sounds like you need it! I'm treating myself by ordering in for tea (even though I went food shopping lol OH paid so I'm not complaining!) Xx

I did this earlier, for me its fear that she'll wake again!

Had a total meltdown, OH said he would look after her while I had an early night, I woke up less than an hour later with her crying in the Moses basket next to me and him in the bed asleep! Wtf! So I cried for about an hour lol, just so bloody tired! Everyone told me it would be hard but nobody told me OH would be as useful as s chocolate fireguard! Xx

Am i ok to use tampons now? Period is really heavy and i hate using pads. I was gonna use tampon but my mum said to wait til 6 week check? Which got my wondering if i should use them or not? Does anyone know?

Freya born 16th November 3.15am 7lb 8oz
She is 5 weeks 1 day today an for last 2 nights has slept 11pm-630osh waking only for dummy during the night. Is this ok?! Would any body wake her thru night for a feed?? Have had so many mixed opinions but surely she would wake /cry for bottle in night if was hungry , instead of going back to sleep once have given dummy? She is having 6 bottles a day, I do her 5oz bottles an most of the time she finishes it?
Advice/ opinions welcome lol x

03:15am was a popular time on 16th mrswoody had her little girl @ the same time on that day.

Also 7lbs 8oz is a popular weight for November babies - there are 3 who weighed that amount.

I leave James to waken himself [especially at night] and I have been doing this for weeks now. He's been sleeping between 5-7 hours the past four nights and it's bliss.

Ah how cute the same time and day!!
Yeah I have never woken her in the night and she had always woke about 1130, 3am 530 etc. so the last 2 nights have kinda thrown me but like you say it's bliss!! Long may it continue lol!! How many bottle does James have during the day? I use dr browns an on have just hashed to level 2 teats as she was always falling asleep before finish bottle so wondering if that's why she woke so often before. X
