May mummies and rainbows to be :) the wait is nearly over!

Feel like I've been away for ages. Mock exam week is always a bit chaotic and I was exhausted this weekend.

I'm not feeling any braxton hicks. I've heard that sometimes you don't with your first, so I'm hoping that is the case. He's still moving around a lot, pushing out as far as my tummy will stretch- which never feels nice. I'm so hoping that he starts to drop soon and that he'll arrive around 38 weeks, which is before my mat leave starts. I have a growth scan on Wednesday, which if all looks good, will be my last scan.

I've been getting this lightening pain in my cervix/vaginal area. It's usually fairly short and intense. It starts there and shoots out. It usually happens when I'm walking at a good pace, not always though. It stops me dead in my tracks and then I slow down. It's happened a few times over the last couple of weeks, always in the morning during my walk to the train station. Anyone else getting this? From what I've read, it seems that it's likely his head hitting my cervix. It does feel like a more powerful version of what I felt during my 2nd tri when he would kick my cervix.

I've got this week of work, 2 wks off for Easter and then 3 wks of work. I can't wait for the week to be over. I'm really getting tired now. At least more the half the students are off on a trip this week. It helps a great deal, but the ones left behind are mainly here because of behaviour, so not a smooth ride, but at least fewer students o deal with.

It sounds like we are all getting to the point where we are so ready for out little ones to arrive. I was quite cranky yesterday, but I also didn't feel great. Felt run down and had gas pains that were quite bad. This morning I'm still feeling a bit run down, just exhausted.

I've had a few sharp shooting pains down low the last few days. Not sure what they are!
I'm totally shattered atm. Finally starting to feel better although being deaf in one ear atm is driving me insane. Have been out in the sun lots this weekend. Just put the last load of baby stuff in the wash apart from car seat covers so that should be out on the line in a wee while. Sort of scribbled my birth plan last night as I have midwife tomorrow but most of it is so straightforward there's not much point in writing it.
It's my sons 3rd birthday a week today so need to crack on and get that organised! He wants a dinosaur cake again and I'm really not in the mood for hours in the kitchen so need to find an easy one on pinterest! Xx

I've had that too kabuk, my midwife did say little one was very low and starting to engage, so I assume that is why it is sometimes a bit painful down there. It does make me do a bit of a waddle haha. Hope all is well at your growth scan, mine is next week and also most likely to be the last. Seems strange to think it will be the last time to see them before they actually arrive!

MissY you can get printed (on icing) cake toppers with any image you like on, that would be a really easy dinosaur cake to do. You just make the cake then pop it on the top and it is edible. With a few little dinosaurs or footprints around the board that would be cute.

Ive been getting like period pains the last couple of days not my usual braxton hicks tho. Maybe shes moving further down lol im so happy to have oh back! I can relax now and look forward to babies arrival lol

Going to do some work on the garden today its so nice out!

At least I'm not the only one. I read it could be him trying to engage, but he is still high and in the ribs- although it does vary. I still can't make out what part of his body is where- i just feel bumps. He moves so much. I just don't know how he is finding any room.

Missy, you could also look at small figurines to put on it. I think it's great that you are making it yourself. I'm all about just buying one. I do love to bake, but I'm not a big cake person and don't care about doing all the design work, so I'm all about buying it.

I know, snowbee. I can't believe it'll be the last time I see him before he arrives. Although I am very eager for him to get here. What I would give for him to arrive at 38 weeks. At 38+1 he'd arrive on King's Day in the Netherlands. My dw was born on 30/4, which was Queen's Day at the time, so that would be pretty cool. Or the following week at 39+1 will be 4 May - and my geekiness would love that- 'May the 4th be with you!' We're just hoping he doesn't decide to arrive on the 30th April as bdays are massive in the Netherlands and we'd really prefer that he doesn't have to share it his with his mem.

i have period pains now and again, i think hes just sticking his foot into me as he is transverse and sits high up under my ribs.

aww i love baking and swear by the toppers! you can get any image on a cake topper and any size! they are fab! quick way to decorate a cake.

i cant believe how close you are all getting now! i dont feel as tho i am that far behind anymore but i think its starting to drag.

Baby had its bum stuck super far out yesterday and it is relatively low but I don't think it's head is particularly low, its just in a strange position.

I will have a look at printed icing and figurines - good idea. Would definitely save time.

I'm having such a bad week/month. Just fell down the stairs. Kinda bent backwards to protect bump but have hurt my hip :( wish I could fast forward this last bit! Xx

Aww missy. Hope things get better and that you're okay after the fall. That's never fun.

He pushes out in the front and then drags whatever body part that is to the side. He also pushes out to the side. Sometimes he just simply goes crazy and it feels like he's moving everywhere.

Well, this really is the year of babies. Another announcement within my family/friends/work/crossfit circle. I think I'm up to nearly 20 now of people who have had or will have a baby in 2017. Crazy. Most seem to be having girls. I know one will remain yellow and there are 5 yet to find out as they are only around 12 weeks now. So far, only 4 of us are having boys.

I found out today that my cousin is expecting her second bubba in October :-)

My lo sticks her bottom right out too and I often feel pointy bits dragging across my bump. I'm assuming it's little hands or feet but I guess it could be knees or elbows. To be fair it's gotta be one of those four options otherwise there's no other pointy parts left! Lol!

Her cot mattress arrived today and I've just placed an order for a sheet with a valance to go on it, to pretty things up a bit! Initially I wasn't expecting her mattress for at least a fortnight so was pleasantly surprised when I got home to find it here already! Especially as they called this morning to say it had been mis shipped and wouldn't be here until tomorrow!

I can't tell which body parts the bumps are at all. I don't feel much pressure down low, but midwife said baby was not at all engaged last week. I'm also not convinced baby's vertical because I don't feel any hard bumps up near my ribs either. Who knows! I wish I could see inside to see what's going on.

I get a hard lump at the top which is her bottom! I never had this with my son though as my placenta was anterior. It's posterior this time which is why I'm feeling so much more.

I get what I think is just ligament pain, low down. He is still high and still moves around. He pushes up against my ribs a lot. His head (?) pokes out top left quite a lot. How can you tell if it's a head or a bum?! I got another video today of lumps sweeping across my belly.

I'd like the 4th of May because it's my Nanna's birthday. That's twenty days before I'm due though.

I'm hoping for 3rd of may as both my littles were born on the 3rd. My son was due the 7th and this one is due the 8th so I'm in with a chance!! X

When I've had scans I've had a good feel before they've scanned me and they've confirmed that it's a bottom.

I still get ligament pain but been getting some shooting pains really low down in the middle too when she moves.

My midwife said the head feels harder than the bottom, although if you can only feel one bump then that isn't much help as you need to feel the other one to compare I suppose!

I would be ok with this one being up to a week early, I don't think I'll be ready any sooner but if I am finished putting the house back together 2 weeks early would also be ok. I would prefer them not to be born on our wedding anniversary so that almost guarantees they will arrive that day! Going over I would like to avoid as it gets into the busiest time of year at work, and then I'll be forever trying to juggle birthday celebrations while we are insanely busy. But as I can't choose I'm not too bothered really, as long as they get here!

I think it's his bum that is up in my ribs. Every scan from 28 weeks has shown him head down and every mw appointment, the mw said he's head down. My placenta is anterior, but I've been able to feel so much. It's so weird sometimes though, feel him push what I think is his bum up and out and then feeling what I assume are his legs pushing out on my right side. I really wish we could see what was going on in there.

Ive got my birth plan apppintment on Thursday but i think i might go for a c section. I know this is my last baby but im so down with being in so much pain the thought of going overdue feels me with dread :( if i have a c section they will book me in around 39 weeks which means i only have 6 more weeks to wait and oh will be here for 2 weeks so he can do the school runs for me and stuff

I'm hoping she will be a bit late so I can ensure everything is ready km secretly hoping for may 21st which is our wedding anniversary but we shall see. I have no idea what bits I'm feeling either it feels like there are 4 of them in there at times lol.

I reckon my little lady will pinch my birthday and arrive on the 5th!

I was convinced Cam would come early but he was 10 days over! I think first babies tend to be late and second babies more on time... Or so I've heard! But to be fair these babies tend to have their own ideas anyway!

My friend went 16 days over with her second! My hubby just asked me if I was in labour as I was clutching my stomach. I'm getting cramps again tonight, same as Saturday. Saturday was accompanied by about 3 hours of severe diarrhoea but no sign of any other symptoms of anything. I thought it might have been the codeine but apparently that's more likely to cause constipation. I think its probably just baby destroying my insides but will need to try and remember to mention to midwife tomorrow. X
