Feel like I've been away for ages. Mock exam week is always a bit chaotic and I was exhausted this weekend.
I'm not feeling any braxton hicks. I've heard that sometimes you don't with your first, so I'm hoping that is the case. He's still moving around a lot, pushing out as far as my tummy will stretch- which never feels nice. I'm so hoping that he starts to drop soon and that he'll arrive around 38 weeks, which is before my mat leave starts. I have a growth scan on Wednesday, which if all looks good, will be my last scan.
I've been getting this lightening pain in my cervix/vaginal area. It's usually fairly short and intense. It starts there and shoots out. It usually happens when I'm walking at a good pace, not always though. It stops me dead in my tracks and then I slow down. It's happened a few times over the last couple of weeks, always in the morning during my walk to the train station. Anyone else getting this? From what I've read, it seems that it's likely his head hitting my cervix. It does feel like a more powerful version of what I felt during my 2nd tri when he would kick my cervix.
I've got this week of work, 2 wks off for Easter and then 3 wks of work. I can't wait for the week to be over. I'm really getting tired now. At least more the half the students are off on a trip this week. It helps a great deal, but the ones left behind are mainly here because of behaviour, so not a smooth ride, but at least fewer students o deal with.
It sounds like we are all getting to the point where we are so ready for out little ones to arrive. I was quite cranky yesterday, but I also didn't feel great. Felt run down and had gas pains that were quite bad. This morning I'm still feeling a bit run down, just exhausted.
