***March 2020 mummies!***

Yes i will not be letting him go to that area with a razor :rotfl::rotfl:

I will try the bath next time and if not oh well ...good luck to the person delivering our baby :rotfl:

It does make me laugh...if something drops on the floor now im like yep thats gone. Im not even attempting getting it.

I've been managing to shave my legs in the shower still but it's a great effort!

As for other places not sure what to do about that for the birth situ...

Yeah 1st tri I was just a bit tired....2nd tri was not bad at all but from 28 weeks to 33 I've felt rough but the past 2 weeks have just been even worse... I feel like a big bloated mess and I'm just so fed up now. I've got 9 days left at work but 5 weeks on Thur till my due date which seems like a long time to be feeling like this for.

My scan date is 1st March but ivf dates are 5th

:rotfl::rotfl:
I can shave legs if I do it in the shower over bath so can put my legs up...but who knows what is going on where I can’t see :rotfl:
3rd tri is tough, it’s the last few weeks that are hardest and it really starts to drag, especially when you finish work and you’re just waiting! That’s why I’m staying in work as long as possible, another 5 weeks for me after this week. But I do just sit at a desk so it’s not strenuous at all!

:rotfl::rotfl: im so glad we're all in the same boat about shaving haha.

So at consultant appointment. Was 8.30am but as usual they didnt rock up til after 9. So annoying.

Results from growth scan babies tummy is catching up to thigh bone but they want to monitor my blood sugar levels so i now have to prick my finger before breakfast and dinner and after both too to check blood sugar level. How annoying. Lol. Eee the way he explained it so the babies head is the biggest and normal the rest just follows but there could be a problem if babies tummy is bigger. They may also bring my due date forward if blood suger level too high.

So now im waiting to see the diabetes midwife to go through pricking my finger.

Better to be safe than sorry i suppose cx

@Nattles33 - glad they're keeping an eye on you, sorry about all the finger pricking though! Made me giggle that you cant pick up off the floor. I can but I have to do a full on squat - no back bending for me! It's the equivalent of a gym session.

Same as you @Niknaknoo, I'm hoping to make it to 38 weeks in work as I was BORED last time. 2.5 weeks to goooo....

Haha I managed to 'tidy' myself up for the birth bit last time @Alexis2017 - but I knew when I was being induced so I had time and motivation to do it! I was glad I'd tidied up when I had to have an episiotomy as they'd have shaved a patch otherwise :rotfl:

Ive started pricking today!
Hadnt ate or drank before hospitsl so did first prick there.
Next one will be at 7.30pm.
Im actually interested to see if its high or low. Obviously hoping it is low but at least if it is high its only for the next 7 weeks (if they let me go to 40 weeks which they wouldnt)

A lady at work mentioned she thought it looked like my bump has dropped! Im unsure if i can see it.

I need to start thinking about a hospital bag. Not too long for us all now.

I will be 37 weeks plus 1 the time I officially start my mat leave and I think that's good going considering how my work have been with me..
I do have 1 week annual leave the week before that though but I've got a list so long to do before baby gets here so won't be bored. I want to go get a pregnancy shoot, my friend is a photographer in Edinburgh so if I can get though to see her she will do it for me.....still got loads of baby clothes to wash and dry too!!

Did my morning prick test... 5.3!!! Which is over what it needs to be in a morning.

Strangr considering i havent ate or drank (apart from water) since 6.30pm last night.

The morning prick test was lower yesterday morning and id ate more that evening.. how does that work?!

One more high reading and i have to get in touch with hospital.

This is going to be a fun last few weeks of pregnancy xx

Oh @Nattles33 thats annoying! Hopefully it’s a one off.

I have so much washing to do but nowhere to put it yet! Machine will be going constantly when we get the wardrobes sorted!

I booked in for a bump photoshoot today with my friend who is a baby and family photographer in Edinburgh and then I booked in for a newborn shoot with a local photographer who is going to do a model deal and give me a free shoot and 5 digital prints in exchange for her using the photos for website and competitions. She's won loads of awards... So happy I am Saving myself hundreds!!

So did my evening blood sugar test at 7.45pm an hour after eating. The reading was 4.8 which is lower than this mornings! No ideas how this works. I expected it to be higher since id just ate  so weird!

ugh I can’t sleep tonight. Really uncomfortable. Feel like baby has started to drop now. Kicks are lower in my belly and pressure has increased low down.
Could do with an extra pillow or two between my knees!

last pregnancy was nearly 42 weeks so if an average pregnancy is 40 weeks surely I’ll have this one at 38??? I can only hope!! 33 weeks on Monday.

Hope everyone else is fast asleep I just needed a moan. Plasterer coming at 8 am too so I don’t even get a lie in tomorrow if I eventually get back to sleep

Sleep... what’s that :) I’m usually up at least 3 times to go to the toilet in the night, and wake up really hungry so eating a bowl of cereal at 4am is normal now.

Only 2 weeks left in work, nearly ready for this little one now, bought the bedroom furniture today. Collecting that at the end of Feb if not a little sooner, just got to get the flooring done in the room before hand.

Up at night 3 times @Clairexx89 im up at least double that. Its taking it out of me now! So jealous you only have 2 weeks left at work! I have 5 weeks left and feels like a lifetime :-(:-(

So update on gestational diabetes- rang hospital on Thursday as had yet another high reading after fasting overnight. Turns out thats what gestational diabetes is
So I've been told to still test blood suger levels every day, watch what i eat (eventhough what im eating isn't causing anything) and ive how been given insulin tablets to take every morning. One after breakfast for 3 days then 2 tablets a day after the 3 days....they also give you loose strools which is great when I'll be in work all day *rolls eyes*
Got a meeting with diabetes midwife tomorrow at 3.15, 34 week midwife appointment tuesday and now with having gestational diabetes i get scanned every 2 weeks so a scan on Thursday! Work are going to think I'm taking the p***.

Super tired today. Been to metro centre and packed bits for hospital bag. All I want to do now is have a good nights sleep.:pray::pray::pray::pray::pray::pray::pray::pray:

I've been feeling more uncomfortable past few days now too.... Can't sleep and feels bit nippy heavy mild aches at botorm of my bump.

I have in to my full fat cola craving over this wknd and have drank about 1litre..
Feel bad as baby was dancing loads but thays me had my fill till baby born... Just been craving fizzy water till now.

I've put on over 2 stone and not ate unhealthy but I'm so swollen so think it's a lot of fluid!

I'm not allowed to go over my due date due to research saying ivf babies at risk of deterioration of placenta earlier on so meeting with the Consultant at 38 weeks to book in for sweep that week I think.

I got all the clothes/towels /sheets/hats/Mits /socks washed now.. All ready for him.

1 week left at work.... Thank goodness!

@Nattles33 5 weeks left here too, but thankfully a weeks leave and a week of half days too! So really only got another 3.5 weeks of work to do.
the GD sounds like a nightmare, at least there isn’t too long to go now, and they won’t let you go too far overdue with it (i think).

we are finally getting somewhere with nursery and en suite. Ceiling is plastered so once dry we can paint, carpet is going in on Friday! Chosen wardrobes but just holding off ordering until carpet is in.

Nearly there with hospital bag, just need clothes for us both but have a fair idea of what is going in. Ds keeps saying I’m making him a birthday present and he wants her to arrive on his birthday. Funnily enough, with him I was induced on fri 13th March (born 14th) and the days of the week are the same. I’m wondering if it’s a sign!!

wonder if we’ll have a leap day baby this year?? !!

Ahhh it's really ramping up on here. Next week is my last week at work. I'm sleeping well some nights and awfully others.

Great news on the nursery @Niknaknoo.

Ooh fingers crossed for no leap year babies - I bet the novelty wears off fast!
I'm hoping the law of averages kicks in this time too. Although I want to have a couple of days off to chill before baby arrives...

Your bump is looking lovely @Alexis2017. You're proper glowing too.

My growth scan Friday was nice. Dead on 36 weeks, hes head down, facing the right way and weighing in at approximately 5.5lbs. They've given me an estimated due date weight of 6lb 15oz, so not too far off my LB. So relieved to see/hear all is okay!

Ordered some raspberry leaf tea now! Capsules and tea bags. I’m not the biggest fan of herbal tea so going to do a mixture. Fx it helps!

feeling absolutely huge now, I keep underestimating the size of my bump and knocking into it. My son is just the right height to get bashed around the head when he doesn’t leave enough space going past me :rotfl: he’s being so sweet though. Still adamant I’m making him a birthday present and she’ll come on his birthday! He’s the 14th, we’re having his party on the 1st though.

I seen the diabetes midwife yesterday.

She said because I’ve been put on metformin tablets that they induce you before 38 weeks!! So looks like our little girl will be here in 4 weeks time <3

@Niknaknoo i am feeling massive now as well.
Girls at work said on Monday I looked like I’d grown over the weekend :rotfl:
