Hi ladies

Happy baby month!!!!!

Sorry ive not been on to updates. Its all been a bit of a world wind. Our beautiful little girl was born 29th Feb (leap year baby) at 7.11am by emergency c section. She is tiny only weighing 5lb 2oz compared to the last growth scab which was showing 5lb 7oz.
She has a tiny tummy and thighs are in proportion to the rest of her tiny frame.

Got out of hospital yesterday.. everything seems to be going well apart from slightly sore from c section. Had firsr midwife check this morning and her weight has dropped to 4lb 13oz but theyre not considered as shes feeding well.

Awww massive congratulations couldn't be happier to hear you and gorgeous Connie are okay... Sorry you are sore from c section hope it heals fast and well for you... Enjoy all the cuddles. xxx

I can 100% say breast feeding is the hardest thing I have ever done... Say it gets easier? Ooft.

It definitely gets a lot easier, I think the first 6 weeks is the hardest but after that honestly it should be a doddle and you will be glad you didn’t quit, go to a breastfeeding support group if you can if you have any near you x

It definitely gets a lot easier, I think the first 6 weeks is the hardest but after that honestly it should be a doddle and you will be glad you didn’t quit, go to a breastfeeding support group if you can if you have any near you x

Totally agree with this. 6 weeks is the magic number for some reason. Hang in there Alexis - you got this! But yes it really is the hardest thing I've ever done too.

Happy last day in work to me!
But I’m full of a cold now ...just what I need!!
went to hospital last night for reduced movements as she was quiet all afternoon but I think she just wanted some attention as she’s not stopped since!
Hope everyone is doing ok. Come on babies!!!

No a cold is good @Niknaknoo! I've heard lots of people have a cold prior to labour. Now come sneeze on me...

Glad little miss has picked back up for you.

I've got a midwife appt this morning, 40+6 now... almost hoping she'll book me a sweep - ideally for tomorrow to give bubs some time to get going. Fingers crossed....

Oooh I’ve never heard that before!! I’ve had it for a few days now, not gonna lie I did google corona virus symptoms but I’m pretty sure it’s just a cold. I really want to get in and out of hospital before it really kicks off!

ask her if she’ll do it for you there and then. Fair game when you’re over 40 weeks. You obviously make a lovely space for babies to grow! Hope he makes his appearance soon x

I read that if there is snot/runny nose then you're safe it's a cold? Haha what did dr Google diagnose you with??

She actually offered but I really dont feel comfortable with her so I've opted to go to the birthing unit tomorrow first thing. I've gone this long, I can hang on another 22 hours now. Hope I get a gentle midwife...

wasn’t much help! I do have a runny nose too which apparently presents in some cases but I’m pretty sure it’s just a cold because I’m run down from being pregnant!

I had a breakthrough last night and he actually woke up around the 3 hrly mark for feeds and fed much better.... Bar his middle feed at 2am he took 1 hour and was a bit fussy but i got 3 hours sleep in a row... Wow... Lets hope things are improving

It's Felix due date today and we did a newborn photoshoot, cant wait to get the photos back. Should get my bump photos back tmrw!

had my midwife appointment today 39+6, no signs of baby, apparently not engaged anymore, didn’t even know that could happen.

Booked in for a sweep next Thursday and then will have an induction date as well if nothing has happened, really hope it happens naturally before then.

That happened to me she was engaged at 37+4 days then by 38+2 she wasn’t anymore she ended up disengaging and then decided to put her head facing up instead of down which ended up me having to have the emergency c section!! Hope your LO comes soon xx

Glad to hear you've made some progress @Alexis2017. Newborn shoots are so lovely.

I hope it happens naturally for both of us soon @Clairexx89!! Dont be too disheartened by baby not being engaged anymore. For some women it doesnt happen until labour starts and plenty of time left. Do you know when they would look to induce you?

@Summerwine been told I will be induced at 12 days over, I think that works out about 18th March.

trying a spicy curry tonight, OH just thinks I’m wasting my time but I’m so fed up of being pregnant now.
