***March 2020 mummies!***

Any signs of your little one yet? @Summerwine

Glad the party went well @Niknaknoo hopefully not too much longer to wait for baby! I’m also getting fed up and want baby out haha.

My blood pressure was back down on Friday and I’ve felt him move a bit more! So no hospital trips were done over the weekend. I’m 37 weeks tomorrow. I have a midwife appointment and finally my midwife is off the sick. The last two appointments have been awful as I’ve had a different midwife. Definitely not as friendly and helpful. One week until my final growth scan and potentially an induction date if baby hasn’t grown much more.

A Facebook group sounds good so we can keep in touch! Xx

Come onnnnnn babies! And yay to full term!

So glad it went well - were you exhausted by bedtime?

Haha I wasnt sure about suggesting it for that reason but then thought it might be nice to know who's gone and who's still waiting! I dont think anyone would be expecting up to date once they start arriving in clusters.

Yes that would be nice - I almost feel like I know some of the women here. Might be useful when we are up at 4am struggling to feed or for help with random questions too. How do you go about setting stuff like that up?

No sign yet @Sunrise212 :( hubs keeps telling me it must be super comfy in there trying to cheer me up but I soooooo want to go natural this time. I dont want to be stuck on a bed on a monitor again  but I know you cant rush these things....

All sounding very positive there @Sunrise212!!

I’ve sent you a request @Niknaknoo

The arrivals idea is brill will help keep track of who has a arrived as I’m sure it will get very busy in the next few weeks. My memory is terrible at the moment.

Sorry if tmi ladies but I just had a lump of jellyish discharge, think it’s my plug starting to come away. Fingers crossed a sign of things kicking off!!!!

Ahhh I hope this is the start of something for you @Niknaknoo! Although as an aside, if you have that baby before me, I'm literally going to start feeling like Rachel in that episode of friends where she watches all the other ladies come and go but still doenst get her baby :rotfl:

Oh it could be nothing! Or it could be something and still take a week or two! I know how you feel. With ds I was due on the 2nd and saw loads of people go before me. Have they talked about an induction date for you yet? Although hopefully baby will come soon for you!
We had a comedy moment a couple of nights ago. We’re actively trying to get this baby out so we dtd first time in ages. Logistical nightmare! :rotfl: But that may be why my plug has started. Curry tonight, pineapple sat waiting to be cut.

Hope it’s the start for you @Niknaknoo keep us updated!

Have you had an induction date yet @Summerwine ?

Hope everything is all okay and you’re enjoying your new bundle of joy @Nattles33

I had a midwife appointment today. Everything seems good. Just waiting for my next growth scan now along with my consultant appointment next week!

Just dropping by to see if anymore bundles have arrived.

I can 100% say breast feeding is the hardest thing I have ever done... Say it gets easier? Ooft.

Haha that made me chuckle @Niknaknoo! I've tried curry, and doing plenty of walking and cleaning, but I cant bring myself to DTD and pineapple... ew, no!

I've not had an induction date yet @Sunrise212. I suspect it will be 11th though. I see my midwife Thursday so imagine I'll be offered a sweep friday or monday, but if that fails I'm going straight for induction. 1 sweep is enough for me!

Busy week for you next week @Sunrise212!

@Alexis2017 it really does get easier. I remember crying to my husband whilst latching my firstborn on for a feed. I think that was around the 3 week mark, and I fed him for 13 months. You had a tough time of it in labour too which can definitely impact on it. Be kind to yourself. Are you getting follow up help? I had the feeding team out to the house twice a week for the first few weeks (thank god, as I'd never have recognised signs of mastitis or thrush!). Dont be afraid to take advantage of all support available. Sometimes just switching babies position up can help alleviate pain a little too. X

@Summerwine He had a bad tongue tie so got it cut today. It just feels like all I do is feed him, yeah had infant feeding team on the phone every day they are great. I am wanting to try feed him via breast for 4 months minimal then maybe move to combo feeding using formula at night but who knows. I have had a sore nipple on left side for few days so been expressing that side to let it heal as the pain feeding on it was awful but his tongue tie has probably caused that.

I've cried a lot past few days, I had Felix up at A&E yesterday cos he was really lethargic and community midwife said I shoukd go up... He was fine, but of a sniffle cold and day before that I was at hosp for my bp as its still high on my meds... Then today at hosp for tongue tie... I think I've been running on empty before my induction and then with the haemorrhage... I just need a good sleep which isn't going to happen

Fingers crossed with a few days of healing it should get easier now that's been cut. Glad they caught it early!

Dont be scared to let your hubby give him an occasional bottle of formula now to give you a chance to rest/sleep. Its hard when you are putting pressure on yourself, but the odd one wont hurt him, and you could really benefit from the break.

Oh no. Have baby blues arrived? I am so dreading those this time round, I remember them vividly. Sending big hugs your way.

@Alexis2017 i promise the feeding gets easier. Particularly now you’ve had the tongue tie cut. Ds had this and literally the first feed after the cut was miles better.

just a thing no-one tells you...introducing formula down the line is tricky when they have a taste for breast milk. Apparently booby milk is much tastier! Worth taking into account and possibly introducing a little earlier than 4 months if that’s the way you want to go.

Hi ladies:wave:

Happy baby month!!!!!

Sorry ive not been on to updates. Its all been a bit of a world wind. Our beautiful little girl was born 29th Feb (leap year baby) at 7.11am by emergency c section. She is tiny only weighing 5lb 2oz compared to the last growth scab which was showing 5lb 7oz.
She has a tiny tummy and thighs are in proportion to the rest of her tiny frame.

Got out of hospital yesterday.. everything seems to be going well apart from slightly sore from c section. Had firsr midwife check this morning and her weight has dropped to 4lb 13oz but theyre not considered as shes feeding well.

Welcome to the world Connie Susan Smart <3<3<3IMG-20200301-WA0015.jpg IMG-20200229-WA0012.jpg
