I wish I knew how much booby milk Harrison has, that's one of the bad things about bfing, I'm constantly worrying he's not getting enough!

At his formula feed at night I make 150ml bottles & he normally has about 100ml, not sure how much that is in oz. & if I'm doing an expressed bottle then its 120ml of breastmilk, I think because formula is more filling he doesn't have as much x

How come u didnt have it at 6 weeks?

Mine was literally 10mins!
I aske to go on the pill so that saved a massive talk about contraception lol.
I asked her to check my stitches an she did a swab cos i said im really sore still so making sure no infection..
An she asked if i was ok in my self ad that was it!! Xx

I have no idea? Harrison had his check up & she said "ill see you in 2 weeks for postnatal", so they must do it at 8 weeks here.

The only thing I want to bring up is the fact I still have no urge to pee. Ive got alarms on my phone set for every 6 hours because I literally won't go otherwise & end up wetting myself! (almost happened once already).

Apart from that, I was gonna ask her about Harrisons sickiness but don't know if I need a seperate appt for that?

They'll only do a swab if you're like still sore and want to make sure there is no infection, I had that done at 2 weeks asked my doc if i needed 6 wk check up and he said if you feel alright you don't have to haha I've been twice for the pill so far

does it help so far? we've converted his cotbed into a co sleeper, last night he only slept in his own bed for a bit and kept moving himself towards me and he ended up in our bed as usual, seen my HV yesterday and I mentioned I missed my 6-8 week visit and she just had to say "I know you know about it but we've have to go over safety bla bla bla" I thought to myself if only you knew our sleeping arrangements you'd have a shit fit. Last time she started explaining me how I need to use the straps wen he goes in his bouncer I kept thinking with every little thing she had to say No shit sherlock, it's either that a lot of people are stupid or can not read warnings and instructions!!

Only arrived yesterday and lastnight he rolled over and his face was smothering in the sheet! so his legs were still on it but his top half fell off onto the mattress and obv being 7wks couldnt get himself up so ge screamed! Thank god!!
We shot outta bed!!!!

Sooo wont be using it again lmao!!

Its probably okay to pop him in it during the day dani, as long as your around ifykwim. He does look very comfy! X

Good point Sarah haha but yeah they can wiggle down and get stuck on the sides too :/ all these help things are great for having hands free and have baby sleep sound just not when you wanna sleep yourself lol

Yeah it was fine. I've been getting this horrible pressure on my left lung that I mentioned & apparently its just my stomach muscles coming back together because they completely separated (ouch!). She didn't look at my stitches or anything because I said it felt fine. & she said I should give my bladder another 6 weeks rest before they investigate why I'm not feeling the urge to pee. So all in all pretty good! Seemed it was more for checking my mental health though, as she was asking loads of questions about the support I had and stuff x

Mine simply asked "are u feeling depressed" to which I replied "no" and that was that! Ha!

Feeling VERY tired today girls. Bubs slept so well at first.. From 11:30pm until nearly 5am... I was so happy when I saw the time! .... Then he didnt fall back asleep until 8am.. Awake again at 9! I am exhausted even though I got that block of sleep! To make matters worse my friends baby who is just 10 days older, slept 14 hours last night!! I'm sooo jealous!!!

I've also made a decision that I am going to start introducing formula at 3 months, and if I'm honest I can't wait. I'm still really sore and it's hard feeding every 1-2 hours in the day still. It doesn't even give me a chance to express for oh to help out. If I'm honest I can't wait! I will combi feed for a while so that by about 5 months I will hopefully have completely stopped bf. I'm hoping this will make him sleep better as well as stop my boobies from always hurting ;-( xxx

I started the night time formula feed about a week ago & I've given him a few formula bottles if we are going out for a few hours. I've realised lots of babies do amazingly on formula so if he's having mostly booby milk & the odd bottle of formula he's gonna be fine!

Mixed Will be fine I was convinced I was brought up on booby juice solely turns out I was drinking formula at weekend t my nans from three week old lmao apparently me mams boobs were tuned in that I didn't drink at weekend lol.
I wish I'd get a better sleep like from 5 onwards its a pain and hence the fact that his bed I turned into a co sleeper he only wants to sleep right next to me if only OH didnt wreck the bed from moving it from one into another room he would've been used to his comfy matrass since day one but instead we tried his Moses basket which he hated but being organised doesn't seem to be anywhere in our dictionary aswell he's only little once and it will be sooner that he doesn't want to cuddle up to me anymore before I know it so might well enjoy it he'll be ready when he is

Thanks ladies, it's good to hear that it will work to mix.. I keep thinking my boobs will just get so engorged with every feed that is formula, but I guess you're right and they will just get used to it. I love the idea of them knowing they're not used on a weekend Minivoid haha!

Sara, did H take the formula ok? Max is fine with bottled BM so am hopeful he will take the formula ok. Which one did u go with? I've got some aptimal ready made stuff that I brought for the hospital so was thinking of trying that first. Will still wait till my 3 month goal though if I can. Hope all yours pics are lovely! Xxx
