*** June 2015 Mummies ***

Aww Charlie. . Hope everything ok.. keep us posted. You were the one person I was hoping would hang on.

Don't think I'm getting to my 39 week section with how much my bump has dropped! It's being booked on Friday when I see consultant.

I'd love to go to 39 weeks but need to prepare myself I think xx

Mine has dropped too Charlie, really feeling the pressure down low. Hoping MW can tell me how engaged the head is at 34 week appointment tomorrow x

Fingers crossed baby Hayden stays put until absolutely necessary Charlie!!

Colettey - They didn't inform me that if I work for an agency within another hospital that I would get the full amount and the mat leave policy didn't give any details about it either. Myself and another colleague enquired about it two months ago and have only just received a reply - so feel like I am rushing to get it sorted before the payroll cut off this month.

Week 35 today!! Only 5 more weeks to go... Arrrrgh! :D

x

Hope you are doing okay today Charlie??! Sounds a bit too early for you!

I've got cramp in my lower back this morning....hmmm my body seems to have ramped up its BH activity this week!

Good stuff Pismo, hope you get sorted asap. You don't need to be stressing about this. Yup 35 weeks for us now :) scary scary!! xx

Hope you get things sorted in time Pismo.

I was awake half the night again with the rib pain, once baby drops I'm hoping I will be able to breathe again as it hurts more when I take a deep breath, MW has said it could be anything, baby's position, muscular, ribs being forced out... So no help really.

I've decided to give my pregnancy pillow a wash as it has gone so flat I need to give it some more life. Kinda annoying,.

Hope you are doing ok today Charlie, little Hayden needs to hang on just a bit longer.

Back to work tomo for the final countdown!! Annoying as been off this week, my manager thought it was April I was leaving not May so crammed my April days in early. I just want to get done now, has been handy to do a few jobs this week though.

Hope everything's okay this morning Charlie!

My husband wants his own changing bag / wants me to get one that he can use too! I'll be upset if I can't get the one I want though just because he wants a unisex bag.

I had that awful rib pain for weeks Lucy but no longer have it and my bump has changed shape so I'm guessing baby has dropped.

We had our couples physio last night, I have midwife today, antenatal on Sunday and feeding class on Tuesday - busy week!

The physio said last night that we give our notes back at 10 weeks post so to save all the important numbers off - why do we have to give them back?!x

He's still in there! I've had a day in bed so far. Got up to put some washing in and instantly getting tightenings again! So back to bed. Feels so weird how much my bump has changed! The gap between my boobs and bump is quite nice tho, feel like I can breathe again!

I've got to go the post office at some point today so will slowly waddle there! Haha! Xx

Aw no way! I wanted to keep it as a memento! I'll need to scan all the pages or something haha.

Glad baby is staying put Charlie!

I'm part of the dropped bump group too, just noticed this morning that it's way down now! And my pelvis pain has doubled! :( It's nice to sit down and not have my boobs shoved against my bump though haha!

Well back from midwife appointment, see her every 2 weeks now.. The lady I see is a bit ditzy. I think my next appointment I have another lady who I prefer. I'm always late going in and as soon as I asked the receptionist if she is running late she appeared and called me in. And she had no one in the room. Been told to lay off the sugary foods, oops... But the weird thing is MW scales are dodgy as last time had me weighing 5kg more than I actually am. Gonna try harder this last 6 weeks though I just don't have the energy to cook and some fruits and salads etc give me horrible acid reflux and indigestion.

belfa the rib pain comes and goes, when in think I'm over it it comes back.

Charlie glad your little man is behaving, if he can just stay in place a bit longer for you.

Typically my rib pain feels as though it's back . I think it's because I'm working from home today so I'm in a different chair.

Glad nothing happened overnight Charlie and hope you get some rest today.

I asked my midwife about the notes and she said they're kept in your hospital records as they're legal documents and get audited! Shame as I was going to put mine in a memory box.

My blood pressure was really high today, I had to go and rest and she took it again. That happened last time too. Looking at my readings it's really creeping up but I have no protein in my urine. Wonder if that's why I felt unwell at the weekend.

When do you all do your urine sample? I just do mine before I go to my appointment which is always in the afternoon x

Hmmm Belfa i had that wee blip in my BP too few weekends ago. It must just be a late pregnancy thing. Lucy had it too. I defo didn't feel right with it. Take it easy :)! That's what I had to do and the readings became much better. Been checking it every other day and is still higher than it was but a lot lower than when I felt rubbish.

I do my sample right before the appt. I think they prefer that as is fresher lol - straight from the source ;-)!

Why have you to lay off sugar Lucy? Did you have glucose in your urine?

Back cramps have gone this afternoon, but my back is defo quite achy. I googled lower stomach & back cramps and found combined both are signs of entering the latent stage of early argggg...i hope i don't have this for the next 5 weeks! But also hope labour isn't super imminent!

Charlie - you better stay in bed! No more over-exerting. Trips to the post office can wait or be done by others! xx

Belfa - I haven't ever seen my notes since I had DS. Would of been nice to though, especially the ones written during labour as it all went so wrong, would of been good to have a debrief. Maybe photocopy the bits you really want?

Really need to start getting this baby in the right position, currently feels like she/he is back to back. Also had a look into hypnobirthing yesterday - does anyone else have any good links to websites. Don't really want to buy anything but keen to read up on the techniques used.

x

Colettypie I've been told because I've gained too much weight but still under 2 stone gain and it's slowed a lot now. I'm mostly bump apart from my hips and thighs lol.. Problem is all I want is chocolate:shock: I've bought some bananas and nuts to try and ease the cravings.

Belfa, hope your rib pain isn't too bad, mine Is always worse at night. Hope your blood pressure settles too... I felt iffy the other week when mine crept up.

MW reckons baby is head down too though won't confirm until 36 weeks.

Shattered tonight, early night me thinks.

Awww Lucy. 2st seems about average as well. God I don't think I could stop eating Choc even if I tried!!! Help!

Some nice summery maternity clothes just arrived from asos! Got my dad's 60th party coming up so got a nice dress and a few other wee things. Tho had to remind myself I only have 5 weeks left so is a bit of a waste of money! But I'll be off work as of next week so needed a few non work related things that would fit!!

I know nothing on hypno birthing pismo. I'm all about the drugs!

I don't know much about hypnobirthing either but I think there's some truth in it as I believe it's a mind over matter thing. I think some people have a tendency to get stressed or panic which makes them feel worse. I coped pretty well with my first labour, even when she got stuck I was pretty calm, but I am a 'calm in a difficult situation' person. It's after I tend to have a bit of a panic and wonder what if!

I expect there are books on it, have you looked on Amazon?

I always liked the idea of hypno birthing but saw a thread on here and I think you are supposed to start it quite early on in pregnancy - that might not be true as I was obviously taking someone else's word for it!

I get very panicked if I'm too hot / feel really unwell. I have a tendency to get dehydrated and faint and caused a raucous on a flight once when I tried to run to the back of the plane for cool air when it was mid landing! This is my only anxiety of labour as I am good in stress situations believe it or not, I will just need to pre-empt that panicky feeling and make sure I stay cool x

Ive been doing hypnobirthing, used the Katharine Graves book and CD and did a workshop. They do say you should start earlier rather than later so Ive been practicing a few times a week for 6-8 weeks. But it wouldnt hurt to start now, it can only help keep you calm.

Just catching up :) I got a taxi to the post office then went on a wander to boots as they have a baby event on. Half way there I got the immense pressure in my pelvis. Think it's just his head though. Still getting lots of Braxton hicks but not as much as yesterday!

I have a growth scan tomorrow and my section is being booked!! Where has the time gone!! I'm not ready yet hahaha!

I've gain just under 2 stone too but not been weighed since my booking in appointment. My midwife never weighs me. I'm still living on extra strong mints so expected my glucose levels to be high but all ok :)

Xx
