*July 2018 Mummies*

Shep I realised I never answered your question, we are hoping for a vaginal delivery after the consultant suggested that all the odds were in my favour. Having another scan 21st June and if baby is still around 50th centile they won't object. And I will be induced week 39 x

Shep I think you'll be next with that news!!!

I wonder who else is going to pop next?!

Just having a look at my maternity notes and my baby's belly is nearly as big as his head from the scan.. Only 7mm in it! Shit I'll have to worry about pushing big head and big belly out now haha

Ours has a big belly....it's why I had to do the GTT. Scan today showed that although belly is 94th centile, the rest of the baby is between 65th and 74th percentile and estimated current weight is 7lb so looks like the growth has slowed down a little.

Do you have any more growth scans now GG or just waiting for your section?

I have been given strict orders to give birth next Tuesday for the beginning of the world cup haha

Haha Jem im sure there's loads of women who have been told the same thing!

I want my baby to come Tuesday but that's because it's husbands birthday

Me and the other half literally just had this conversation! I’m not allowed to give birth on any of the days that England are playing!!

I said she needs to come before Wimbledon starts I couldn’t care about football ha ha!!

Having an emotional day today, told other half I’ll be glad when all this is over as I’ve never felt so miserable and drained.
Was cooking dinner and threw up had acid all day then sat trying to catch up on some tv with tears in my eyes from heart burn. Got up and could hardly walk so I’ve bought myself to bed to be miserable alone lol!!!

How nice would it be for OH to get that as a bay gift!!!

I'm trying to keep up with the convo, but i haven't slept for 4 days aha.
Shan, will be lovely having a home birth.
Ha the bloody football! That's the first thing FIL said. He said to hubby he doesn't have to worry about missing it now.

I kinda feel sad my pregnancy is over. Ikno I kept saying i cant wait for it to be over but now it is I wish he stayed in longer lol.
Still in Hosp, I passed a really big clot so they wanted to make sure it wasn't anything serious... Apparently Im the first out today though.
I didn't say earlier, I did a day of breastfeeding but now he's on bottle, his blood sugar levels wasn't going up and was low aa soon as he had a bottle they shot up, so he obviously is better on that and he's had the colostrum stuff that's the most important milk!!
Does anyone know if I can buy smaller dummies?? He can barely fit the newborn ones in his mouth.

Glad you're doing well PB! What does your dd think of him?

Sorry I can't help re dummies

Think she's abit jealous, but we haven't really sat down properly and let them meet, we've just showed him to her and let her sit on me next to the crib. It's difficult in Hosp because not much room. Dd likes to smack aswell so need to not be in pain so can hold her tight.
She gave me a bloody lip when i was in labour... Hubby went to run me a bath so she was in the bed with me and then started getting a contraction so wasn't paying her attention so she slapped me in the face for attention... Obviously shes to young to know it hurts but don't want her doing it to ds.

After a bad night I’m in at the doctors this morning the acid and heart burn is draining me and all I’ve done is cry! Oh and shout at the receptionist at the doctors cause they are clearly health professionals now as well as phone dollies!!!!

Glad you and the baby are doing OK and hope you get home today breast or formula - as long as the baby is doing well that is what matters xx

Oh Amy so sorry you had another bad night. Did they give you something for acid? X

I never had this with either of my pregnancies but since started taking raspberry leaf tablets I get some at night too... not a nice feeling so I realy feel for those of you who get bad once x

They gave me omeprizole but doesn’t seem to help with anything and I can’t take gaviscon cause it makes me sick! I can’t win.

Amy, In a squeeze, I've chewed a couple of Tums and they've worked short term. Other than that, the only things that have helped are eating small, plain meals every two to three hours and no fruit or fruit juices. Even fruit flavoured water can set it off. I have my last meal 3 hours before bed but keep plain biscuits like digestives (no chocolate) or rich teas next to the bed as often, when I feel heartburn starting, a biscuit or two seems to stop it quite effectively. I keep enough that I can nibble as needed through the night.

Sorry, I know how miserable it is so hopefully this can help a little.

Morning ladies, hope you're all doing well.
PB, that sounds like a good story to tell DD one day about her slapping you mid contraction, lol. Glad you should be going home today.

I'm sure baby has engaged a bit overnight as everything down there hurts and walking upright is almost impossible until I've been up for a few minutes.

Had a call off the mil last night too. Dans sister had a stroke on Sunday. She made them promise not to tell us because she didn't want us worrying but I'm glad she changed her mind. She's lived, amazingly, with a grade 4 glioblastoma brain tumour for 5 years this month. She was initially given a median survival of 14 months, but has lived a fairly normal life for the past three years. This is a worry because they don't know if it's linked to the tumour. Her right side is affected, which means the stroke was left side of brain, where the tumour is. She's only 3 weeks away from one of those MRI's as it is so now she has to have extra bless her.

We did speak to her and she can manage one syllable words love her but is getting so frustrated. Only last month she managed to finally evict her tennant and get her house back, with plans for opening a bakery...now she's back with parents with everything up in the air again.

Dan is going up next weekend but has insisted my mum and dad stay with me as so close to due date bless him.

All Rach is worried about is upsetting us with the baby so close and if she'll still be able to hold baby and talk to it properly. Life is so cruel.

Amy sorry about the acid relux it's the worst! I asked my midwife on wed for something better but have to go to the doctor. Gaviscon just doesn't really cut it anymore. Can you get back to the doc for something else? Xx

PB hopefully you both get out today and get some family bonding time. As long as baby is feeding don't even worry about breast or formula. He got his colostrum which is fab for him coming early. You gotta do what's best for you both. As to dummies mothercare had nuk ones for preemies? Don't know if nuk are any good though xx

As to the talk of baby size, my midwife has told me she thinks baby is big. But the midwife at the hospital on Wednesday told me she didn't feel big? Helpful lol. She's sitting in the 75th percentile right now so I don't know. Ivy was in the 50th and she was under 7lbs at 38 weeks.

GG oh no poor Dan! He must be so stressed leaving you so close to baby coming. Fx for his sister that she recovers from the stroke well and there aren't a bu worse complications xx

He is bless him. Humour is intact though..I reminded him he won't be able to drink in case he gets "the call" and he said, "oh shit I'll need to take a stress ball to cope with mum" Bless him.

Went back to doctors this morning theyve given me a different tablet and it’s stronger so fingers are crossed it helps.
And I also have a gangling on my knuckle that causing a lot of tendon pain and the doctor said just rest the hand and cold compress I just laughed, who will cook and clean if I’m resting my hand lol other half can’t cook for toffee we’d starve ha ha!
