*July 2018 Mummies*

Hmm midwife appointment was interesting. She's coming back Sunday because OH wasn't here and she thinks he should hear everything. I mentioned he wasn't keen. But she's going off soon for a month, so may not be able to attend if I go over 38weeks. She said she thinks I'll go before 38 but I doubt it.

So now it would be a different midwife by the sounds of it. She also said she attends loads of home births with elder siblings 2-5 attending. And that kids do really well being there. She even said if it was night that just leaving Ivy sleeping could work and we could wake her once the baby came. That was quite interesting to hear actually. I know everyone has different opinions on that but she said the chances of anything going wrong with a second labour are very slim. She's bringing statistics for OH lol

Amy hopefully that works for you now fx xx

GG that's such a shame but at least he's in decent spirits. He never gets a break with his family does he? Xx

Yes Shan, he does struggle with them.

A good friend of mine was diagnosed a few months after Rach and she later had this happen. She died two years ago. Listening to Rachels speech last night reminded me of Hazel and does worry me a lot, but I've not mentioned it to Dan. Strokes aren't normal for 43yr old women. It's just shit!

GG so sorry about Dan''s sister. I remember you mentioning her before and how well she was doing. I hope she recovers well x

Shan that is interesting. Are you tempted to get Ivy involved? x

Who said that people on maternity leave get rest?! Been away with DD all morning, washed and hunged all the clothes outside that still need to come in, I have ironing waiting, online food shopping to do andfloors to mop! At this rate I will go into labour next week :D x

Maybe, if she wanted to. She said she wants to, she's watched one born etc it really doesn't phase her. She knows it's sore when the baby comes out cause I've told her, and what noises I might make, but that it's normal and I'm not afraid. She's pretty clever

I'm not sure how she'd actually be watching me, though I'm pretty chilled in labour. OH is dead against it atm. But she could go round to her grans in literally a minute if she wanted to go away. The midwife said she's never seen a kid freak out and that they're usually fascinated. She's pretty for siblings being there. So I guess we'll see, it's really up to Ivy but personally I don't think it's wrong.

Sorry you're not getting any rest on maternity after waiting for forever. Though do we ever haha xx

I hope whatever happens you and Ivy will make this experience wonderful. I hope OH comes around x

So I moved back into my bedroom 2 nights ago to allow DD to sleep alone. As predicted she wakes up looking for me around 2am and finds it hard to fall back asleep. I really hope this doesn't take forever. For now I go to her but soon we will have to gethe her used to daddy coming to her instead. We had a bad night last night. Nighters her nor me could go back to sleep after I went through...

I am now in my bed, she is snoring away in hers. Great right? Then why all I want to do is to grab my pillow and go through to her bed? Cutting this cord is so freaking hard for me!!!!! Even tho I know this is best for everyone :(

I think it sounds like a wonderful idea Shan as long as you think she can handle it! It may make her feel much more connected to all of you as a family as you were all there together, especially if she's very clever. My niece is almost 3 and she's so so so advanced and clever and I think she'd be able to handle watching a birth!

Has anyone else experienced a stitch like pain? I have a real stitch like pain on the top of my bump in the middle. Very weird and painful!

KH, sorry you haven't had more down time. Hope dd catches on to the whole night sleep thing soon. I'm sure she will.

Shan, I think it would be lovely for you to have Ivy with you. I guess if you can bring hubby round, you could all just play it by ear.

I know baby has dropped now. Heartburn almost non existent, can take deeper breaths and sing again and the pressure down below is unreal. I can feel loads of baby where there was nothing yesterday.

Have a gut feeling it won't wait til 27th.

KH it's always the way, we beg and beg for them to get that little bit of independence and when they do we're like "aw no actually" lol. Give yourself a pat on the back for having her get to sleep in her bed all by herself. You're both doing so well by the sounds of it compared to what dd was like before. Then enjoy having your bed to yourself for a while and fx it lasts longer than to 2am. You're getting there hun xx

Jem Thanks hun, that's my thinking too about it. It's nice to see someone not say I'm crazy lol. Stil unsure though.
And I swear the amount of pains we get, it could be anything lol.. Could be a pulled muscle, or baby pressing at something maybe? I get a pain at my left side on and off, and it's baby's feet pressing in. Bloody hurts, feels like a burning pain, like I have to rub at it even though it doesn't make it any better. If it's really bad though or you get worried give them a call Xx

GG I'm insanely jealous at the words "heartburn almost non existent" haha. How exciting though, what happens if you go before your section date? Do they just bring you in asap before labour fully starts? Xx

This stitch pain is like coming and going. When it's there it reaches a peak and then dies down, then it will come again and do the same thing. I can only describe it as a stitch. Fuck knows what's going on but I want to punch OH for it haha

Yep, any signs of labour and I have to call the triage and let them know so they can prep theatre for me. Just going to keep a close eye. It's my fist so I don't really know what I'm to expect, lol.

Jem, I had that a while back. Last few days and really badly today, baby has pressed in nerves causing fanny daggers and bum daggers, most of which have me bent at the knees and bent over for a while til they pass. Kept happening in Curry's earlier. Baby has made me screech a few times today with the power of it's pushing against things in me.

Call the triage if you notice any kind of pattern / regularity to any feelings. Xx

Ugh wide awake. Hardly any sleep last night either. The stitch pain is still there but now only really when I move so I'm guessing it's muscular or something. All I know is I'm so done with this lol

Oh my god these new tablets are life changing, first night in months I’d say that I had no acid heart burn or discomfort and was able to get 4 hours solid sleep, that hadn’t happened in a very long time it seems!!!
But now I feel like I’ve had too much sleep ha ha, a few more nights with some sleep and I’ll be a happy bunny!

Off to the in laws today for a bbq if it’s nice and a dog walk (or dog waddle as I call it) picking up the car seat and having lessons how to Put it in the car

Hope you all have a lovely day.

Morning all. BBQ here too Amy later. Dan is getting the smoker on for a load of ribs for an evening BBQ and we're doing a little normal BBQ at lunch too for friends.
Have friends visiting today that we don't get to see much but probably our closest, most loved people in the world. Can't wait to see them. Then I have a spider expert coming at lunch and staying the night. I decided to overcome a fear of spiders a few years back, now I'm slightly obsessed with them and can identify most woth scientific names, lol. We have such a variety here, I'm really looking forward to a good spider hunting day/night.

Jem, that does sound like something has pulled doesn't it. Keep and eye on it. I know exactly how you feel about being done. I'm so ready for baby to be out of me now.

Hope you all have a lovely day. Xxx

Jem pains like thar are the worst cause there is nothing you can do about them... hope it goes away soon! I get a lot of f daggers and some of them are breath taking!!!! x

Glad you got a better night sleep, hope you can catch up on all the lost sleep before baby comes x

Have a nice BBQ Amy and GG. We are off to park this morning but sadly the sun is nowhere to be seen today! Hopefully it's still warm for us to have some fun outside x

Jem I had a lot of that pain with my first pregnancy. I can't remember exactly what it was but there's nothing you can do, things are just getting very cramped

Enjoy your bbqs Amy and GG and the park khtw

Had a fab night with husband at the cinema, loved jurassic world and managed to sit through the whole thing without getting too stiff and needing a wee.

We're off to an agricultural show today which will be nice, lots of walking involved to. Husband is having his last day/night on the drink to which time in well with his birthday next week.

Have a lovely weekend ladies

Pain has died off now thank god!

Hope everyone has a lovely weekend x

Hope everyone's doing well. I've been so emotional and tired the last few days! Crying over silly things! And not able to sleep for longer than a couple of hours at a time...
I'm not sure how I can possibly get bigger with my bump but apparently will do! No weight gain at all in the last 4 weeks but bump seems bigger to me so I must be losing it somewhere else. Doesn't feel like it though!
Have also joined the heartburn at night brigade... Is awful girls. However gaviscon, as goopy and gross as it is does tend to work eventually for me, so I'm lucky!
