*July 2018 Mummies*

Shep thank you! I'm still in a bit of a daze. Ended up declining the sweep. Then I was really upset about saying no to it. But she came anyway lol. Glad you didn't tear at least! I have a graze too but she put some numbing stuff on it after my stitches so still don't feel it after weeing. Enjoying that while it lasts.

How is feeding going stil latching okay ? Xx

Ohhh these babies are adding up!! Congratulations Shan :D

My induction starts today, pessary at 12. I hope I'm as lucky as you two with quick labours but got a feeling I'm in it for the long haul! X

Aw our babies may just have the same birthday. Good luck Jem ! Xx

Shanivy I seriously wish I could have some numbing gel put on, I kept trying to remind myself it's not the worst pain I had yesterday haha

Is ivy coming to see you soon?

Feeding is going well, it's pretty constant atm. Are you managing ok?

Aw wow another baby coming soon, good luck JemRose!

Ivy just came up! Wasn't expecting her yet but my FIL came to pick oh up and said she wouldn't let him leave without her. Was the strangest thing. She was a bit unsure at first but picked up quickly. And then she was all over her and didn't want to leave lol. Feels like I'm on cloud nine just can't wait to take her home now! Oh and had a bit of minor bleeding omfg was scary.

Feeding went okay ish. She tried latching after I came out of the he pool, hit and miss...she's asleep now. I'm very apprehensive about her waking up and trying again but gonna try my hardest xx

aww shan she is so beautiful! congratulations again <3 hehe So pleased for you both, shep & shan, that so far your dd1s are super excited and happy about their new siblings. that must be so amazing to watch and see them together hehe just think when they'll be able to interact more and more :D so exciting hehe

I am DYING to have my baby at this point although I saw a link to a birth on youtube and traumatised myself.

Can I ask...how normal is it for the midwives to start sticking fingers and things in your vajayjay while youre pushing and like stretching out the sides? and do they always press on the like back bit of you with a cloth? this poor woman in one of the videos had a blanket almost inside her bum like right in there haha

Also did any of you have any experience of the midwife actually taking hold of the babies head and pulling? that doesnt seem like something id want, like she was full on putting her body weight into it and just yanked the baby out of the woman

sorry if these are stupid questions xx

I'm sure she'll latch fine for you eventually shanivy! Keep it up. I'm glad ivy is happy with her sister so far

Laura I don't know what's normal but and this is probably something I should be embarrassed by but at the pushing bit I was begging the midwife to push my hemmeroid in and keep it all in place haha cringy but I was so spaced out and I've seen sheep push their entire intestines out and didn't want that to happen to me. It's silly but I've worried about my hemmeroid and prolapse's for ages

Wouldn't thibk grabbing the head and pulling was normal though that sounds dangerous

Laura I'd say that's not going to be your experience of labour hun don't worry! They're usually very hands off unless need to be. And they stick to your choices in your birth plan . Though when I got checked to see how far dilated I was holy fuuuck it hurt!!was 4-5 cm and ten minutes later I pushed her out. Think the midwife broke me with her fingers! xx

Oh Shep I was like that with mine. Got into the pool when they said I was 4-5cm and I was like "omg her heads coming" literally 2 minutes later. High as anything on the gas and air all I was worried about was my haemorrhoid. The midwife was like never mind it we've seen worse her heads coming now whether you've got one or not lol. At least I didn't ask her to hold it in haha. But forgot how good entinox actually is lol though for making you a crazy person xx

That's such a ramble but I'm so tired I can barely keep my eyes open

I hope all mummies to be, all new mums and babies are doing alright in this heat.
DD and I had a Mil visiting for the day. There was paddling pool and ice cream and shopping.
No sign of this little miss making an appearance. Nobody is expecting her before due date lol. MIL already made arrangements for coming to stay with our DD when I go for the induction, that's how much faith they have in her coming before that :D x

Aww wow congratulations GG , shepherdess and shanivy, absolutely great news. I'm am so jealous of you all ha. Hope you're all doing well and babies are doing well.

How are you getting on Jemrose? Hope it's going well

I don't think my little man will be coming anytime soon. Had my midwife apt and he's still only 1/5 engaged. My bump is still high it's not dropped yet. I'm being impatient.

I'm just loving it flower. Community midwife had her first visit here today and she's really happy with Kieran. He has a teeny bit of jaundice but to be expected at 39 weeks so she's not remotely worried. He's lost 3.4% bodyweight, so great or him. She's back on Monday for 2nd appointment.

Jem, hope you're okay xx

Glad Kieran is getting on well GG.

No changes or updates from me. This baby really doesn't wanna come out! Few twinges and bit of back ache / constipated feeling but nothing has gotten worse tbh.
Worst nights sleep ever, the ward is sweltering. Had a fan at my head the whole night but the pillows were sweat inducing heat conductors! OH went to sleep in the car because I couldn't sleep for worrying about him not sleeping in the chair haha, he knew I'd be better off without him there as I'm such a worrier!
I'm bloody exhausted, but think I'm awake now. The lady in the ward with me has been up all night pottering about and being annoying (thats mean of me because I should have sympathy really)

Aw JemRose I'm sorry things are taking time for you. What is the next step?

GG I'm glad he's doing so well, well done you. How are you feeling? Your wound giving you much bother?

How are all you pregnant ladies?

I came home yesterday, I'd have liked another night in hospital but I barely slept the night I was in and was offered little support from staff so figured I may as well be at home and husband can help me. Today I'm hoping the milk will come in properly, baby has been relentless desperately searching for some. I know it's a good thing but I'm so tired. She wouldn't be put down yesterday until husband finally got her into the living room moses basket at like 3am. Hes been a star, think I must have had 4hrs sleep last night and I'm feeling better for it

The June thread has been pretty quiet throughout, so I read the July one too and just wanted to pop over and say congratulations to GG, Shanivy and Shepherdess. Some beautiful names on this thread. Good luck Jem, fingers crossed you’ll be holding your little boy before the weekend is out!
