Still hoping the full moon will set me off but I'm doubting it now. I'd love her to come now, had another lovely day in the garden with dd and tbh if baby doesn't come I'll have to be out in the garden in my knickers tomorrow as I'm running out of clothes haha so she may as well come

Got the midwife tomorrow, she'll offer a sweep but husband and I have been chatting and I think I'll decline it

Sorry guys no baby here all is fine. Some reduced movements etc but all is fine and baby hopefully will shift tomorrow with my seeep...just logged in I've missed loads and can't believe i missed it! I'm not sure what else though I'm distracted by the lovely baby pics!

I don't know what's going on Shan. Absolutely nothing since I lost my plug yesterday afternoon and lost a big more yesterday evening. Scan tomorrow for the static growth and they said they'll discuss actual induction tomorrow so I'm hoping they're just gonna do it! X

Oh Jem I'm sorry nothing more has been happening. I hope the scan goes well, just think GG thought she was going to have a big baby so just shows how out all the scans can be. Fingers crossed something happens today so you don't need an induction

I'm glad you've had a chance to log on shanivy, sorry you've had some reduced movements. I hope your sweep goes well tomorrow. How have you been feeling?

Had my last ever midwife app first thing this morning, all went well, I had the sweep, I didn't want to but I really really don't want an induction. The midwife did go through the induction process with me today, the sweep "was a really good one" and she's hopeful that even if I don't go naturally, I'm already 2cm dilated so I shouldn't need to go on the drip and them breaking my waters should be enough to set away labour. Fingers crossed

I had more bloods done today, yuck. They take some here in week 37 with a view towards labour (for info on your blood if you end up needing a C section or something). I'm not sure if this is done in the UK. Appointment next week at the hospital for monitoring (again, not sure why, but seems to be a Spanish thing to see how things are going).

I'm really struggling in the heat now. 37 degrees today. Although I hear the UK is also having a massive heatwave so imagine some of you ladies are also finding things difficult in the heat.

Shep I'm in same boat as you really hoping the sweep will bring things on naturally! How are you coping now you're over the 40 weeks? Hope it all starts naturally for you, sounds very positive

My body won't make its mind up, losing more plug now (I think!)

Mala I hate having bloods done!! I think my blood group and stuff is already in my notes and they've not mentioned taking anymore so I guess they don't do it over here. Not had bloods done since 28 weeks. Omg I can't imagine being in that heat, its bad enough over here at the minute and I'm not a summer person anyway! I always struggle in the heat let alone being almost 39 weeks pregnant!!

Just popping in don't mind me, they do get growth wrong hun I had a scan a week before willow was born and they said she was 6lb 12 and when she was born 7 days later she was bang on 9lb so just take the size with a pinch of salt , i was losing my plug for 2 days before my waters went I knew it was going to happen as the plug was soooo much blood and gunk especially when I went for a wee and wiped xx

Thank you! I'm not too concerned about the growth tbh. But have had a couple occasions of reduced movements and baby's heart rate has been all over the place. So had a sweep late Tuesday night and been losing mucus plug since yesterday afternoon. Already had scan planned for Friday from static growth Monday and then seeing consultant to hopefully induce. All seems all over the place lol. I've looked online and a lot of it says losing the plug doesn't mean it will happen straight away, I just hope it does and I'd rather not be induced but it will be for baby's best interests if I am induced xx

Aww big hugs but glad you are feeling good today! I just dragged my sorry ass into the shower cuz this is the first day the heat has got to me and now I'm laying in underwear, a bra and vest top which is rolled up so my belly is out literally right in front of our fan on the highest setting haha I can hear David Attenborough "such grace and beauty can be seen... A wild whale in her natural habitat" hahaha xx

Easy to get in a state but honestly there's no reason why your labour won't go smooth this time I don't know how you're enjoying this sunshine it's killing me lol. Xx

I missed this first post. To be honest I've been feeling really anxious since last week. Everything I think may be something turns out to be nothing.And I just want her out.. But like I said above to you, it's easy to get in a place of panicking so I'm trying to stay positive that everything will be fine .

Morning all. Just a quick message to let you know my little girl was born this morning! She came at 5.10 after a 3h labour weighing 7lb 9oz. She's perfect. Labour wentry really well, had gas and air and pethidine. She been feeding well and is now fast asleep
