****July 2018 Mummies - Tri 2****

Thanks shan, ive gone with vets4pets seem decent so hopefully they will. She's the most annoying she's ever been this time round. Walking through the house screaming basically, keeps waking dd up ughhh.

It's not like it's easy for me to do shit, I have a baby and don't drive. The vets is 1 and a half miles I'll have to walk and wait for hubby to come home to pick her up and that's if he's not away... Ifor he is, will have to carry dd and put the cat in the pram so stop her bumping around.

No worries. People on those forums are always the first to judge and get on their high horse. And they're all full of shit too. Ignore them all.

I'd wait until OH is home and make it a little easier on yourself. You're pregnant and have a baby! Xx

GG are they worse? People are so up themselves. People still going on saying why am I waiting 5 days to ask the vet. It's like I've gone on there, said I beat my cat don't feed her and slapped someones mum :/
Literally just asked if my cat was too skinny, if she can be spayed I'm heat and if it's the heat making her wee more or uti with list of symptoms. Every single reply has been harsh. So glad this forum isn't like that.

Oh my god...pm me the link to the thread pleeeease. I could do with a giggle...might join and have some fun, lol.

The horse world is renowned for it as by our nature, horsey women are generally very strong people...you can't be a wallflower with an almost half tonne animal. It makes for some extremely hilarious know-it-alls.

I always say, the day I think I know it all about horses, I will sell up and buy a fucking rocking horse. Sadly, I do have 36 years of having horses behind me, qualifications and am an industry professional so I mostly try to keep my mouth shut unless a horse may be at risk. There is a new wave of women who have come back to horses in later life and think they know bloody everything because they read it on the fucking internet. Same with dogs and cats but horsewomen can be genuinely vile.

Hey guys... Skimmed the last 6 pages, couldn't catch up with it all... But important updates. Malagueta so relieved for you, very can't imagine how upset you must have felt.

At work today, still tired, argh you know what is it even possible or am I imagining it that this baby has started kicking me in what feels like my vagina! He's been kicking in my bladder really hard for the last couple of weeks, whenever he's active and I sit down on a chair... I HATE it! It's like an electric shock... So startling and uncomfortable! But that was nothing compared to this vagina-bashing! Hahahaha it's so uncomfortable, I had to stop mid conversation with my colleague and catch my breath. Is this a thing? I'm going to have to Google it.

Yes, it's a thing. Luckily I have no idea how it feels as my baby is head down. Just means I get ridiculous heartburn inducing kicks, lol.

Any movement with work to alter your hours or duties at all?

Absolute a thing I think it's your cervix you feel. I get it allllll night. It's a very horrible feeling, especially with the stronger kicks lol. I get kicks/movement on both sides of my stomach at once a lot, so I think she's throwing herself about quite a bit. And every so often I get the cervix bashing. Delightful haha xx

So my sisters scan show double cleft lip and also double cleft palate. She was told there is a possibility of a missing or abnormal chromosome (chromosome 22) but only way to make sure would be amniocentesis. With the risk of miscarriage my sister has decided to wait and see and let nature take its course, she said her mind wouldn't change regardless of what the results say so no point taking that risk. She's being really positive about it and I'm in awe really. She's only just turned 21 so quite young. Her son had a lip and tongue tie when he was born so wonder if it's all linked. She has to have scans every 4 weeks to monitor and waiting to hear from Bristol hospital tomorrow as her care will be transferred there x

I'm also a bit worried about myself. I've got really sharp pain on the left side of my stomach like belly button level, it's really sore and tender to touch. Don't feel anything else just that pain, doesn't feel muscle pain or round ligament or anything. Just really tender and sore. No idea what's wrong or what to do? Just leave it till tomorrow and see if it goes or ring 111?

Jem firstly to you, I had this or very similar but right in my belly button last week. But if you're worried definitely call 111. Never worry about wasting time when your pregnant. I'm sure it's nothing serious though hun but call if you're usure. Might be quicker calling your community midwife/triage number from the hospital. Xx

I'm really so sorry to hear about your sister hun. And your nephew. I was 21 when I had dd and I can't imagine dealing with something like that so young. Xx

I'm just gonna wait and see if the pain goes or not. Not felt pain like this before so can't guess what it could be lol.

Yeah I don't know how she's gonna cope, but she has to i guess x

Hi GG...
No no movement yet. I've asked to come off nights as all my junior manager has said you don't have to do them when you're pregnant, but my senior manager has said I'll be a doctor's note, which I feel us a little unnecessary.... I've self referred to my occupational health as GP can take 3 weeks to get an appointment.

Also I've been off sick more than 4 times in the last 12 months (only a day or two at a time and two of those are Pregnancy related)... Which means they can't discipline you for it or take any formal action but they're still making me have an official meeting with a senior manager to discuss my sickness. I don't really feel like that is necessary or fair, they're just doing it to put pressure on me not to be ill. Sigh. Such is the NHS.

Wow that's full of spelling mistakes sorry, I'm in the cold waiting for hubby to pick me up after work

Jem, totally with Shan on calling 111 if you feel the need. Always better to call and not need than need and not call.

As for your sister, speaking from family experience, she will cope. There is so much than can be done in maxilofascial surgery now that it's most likely not to have the effect on your nephew's life that it once would have. But...I am slightly thrilled for your sister that the care is being transferred to Bristol as that is my sister's area and she will no doubt be heavily involved in the im2going care of the cleft palate and lip. She is bloody wonderful and well regarded as one of the best in the country. She's been the youngest ever chair of the dental board and regularly speaks at conferences all over the place. What she doesn't know isn't worth knowing and what she can't do can't be done.

Shan...I think you and I have little twins...mine is exactly the same. Has bloody parties in there, lol.

Oh wow GG that's really interesting to know!! She's getting a call from Bristol tomorrow and getting more info.

Hoping that it's just the cleft lip and palate and there are no chromosomal abnormalities. Be hard enough as it is! They said to her today it is gonna be really tough.

My pain is better sat still but just got up to get a drink and felt like my whole side was being ripped open and fell down in pain. Dunno what's going on, seems more muscle related with that reaction maybe? X

Jem I'm glad your sister is managing to stay so positive and I'm glad she's getting the support she needs.

As for your pain if youre leaving it overnight and it's still bad in the morning make sure you call your gp

Could be a ligament that you've really pulled. With dd I pulled something at 16 weeks lifting my nephew and honestly felt like I was dying with the pain. But it was just a muscle with everything being loose. Phoned in a panic and they told me to take it easy for a few days.

Same as she Shep said though, but if not the gp then your maternity number in your notes. They're very good for instant advice. Especially since your placenta is at the front. Though I'm sure it's not that at all. Don't feel you can't phone though.

Ohh hun I really hope it's just the cleft palate too for you all Xx

Hey ladies! I've not been on for so long as I've been so busy with moving and university. In my last year so the workload is very heavy.

We're having a boy, so excited.

Hope you're all well and your pregnancies are going smoothly.

Amazing news Flowerbomb. Another boy for July...congratulations xxx

Jem, my sister just sent me this...forward it to your sister.

Her sonographer should notify the cleft team but she can call them herself if she wants to speak to a specialist nurse tomorrow. 01173421177. Tell her to only look at Clapa website and watch 'The difference between you and me' on youtube. I love that video. Bilateral cleft of lip and palate is surprisingly common and treatable. She'll get as much support as she wants/needs and I'd encourage her to take it all. Our three nurses are so lovely. Hope that helps somewhat. Xx
