****July 2018 Mummies - Tri 2****

aw no GG that's rubbish. I'm not surprised youre suffering though. if you've not got a very big bump yet then I guess the only way for everythingto go iis up!

I've managed to be quite productive today and wash all baby bibs, muslins and blankets and get them all stored away. clothes for babies first year are all washed and in the wardrobe/draws. I've even been tempted to ready baby's hospital bag for something to do haha

You really are a Duracell bunny lol. I wish I had you energy right now. Everything I've bought the baby is all put away so far and organised but I've so much to still do. Not even touched the nursery yet :/ xx

I buy cheap tesco gaviscon stuff... Rarely use it. Didnt get it with dd, had it once or twice this time.

Oh my goodness shep. I havent even washed dd bottles yet haha. X

Do you know you can get gaviscon on NHS prescription when pregnant. Massive bottles of it too.

I'll be getting my prescription soon, already going through it like mad. It wasn't on prescription when I was pregnant with dd and I dread to think how much I spent on it :/ Did you take the day off in the end GG? Xx

I didn't come in at lunch but I'm here now. Nobody in to eat but Dan walked down and just us, 1 local and the landlord and his daughter and it's been an absolute hoot. It's the best place for a laugh sometimes it really is.

Cancelled carvery for Sunday so I'll get two days off in a row. I won't know what to do with myself.

Happy days just be lazy and pregnant lol xx

After the Horses, I fully intend to. It's a bore weekend here and 4* bores on the river Saturday and Sunday morning. Already cancelled tomorrow's breakfast and will most likely do the same on the weekend. X

Darn! I really can't be bother washing baby clothes and drying and ironing. Anyhow will wait till June to do this since I will be finishing work 1 month before due date, guess I will need things to keep me busy.

I am holding onto this 2nd labour is easier thing!! There is only 1 thing i worry about - that she will get stuck and they will use forceps again. And there is the option of elective c-sec... do I, don't I?! Tbh I don't often think about it. Will start stressing properly closer to 36 weeks x

GG I was thinking, you'll probably enhance your bump if you wear maternity jeans. I only started looking pregnant in clothes when I wore maternity jeans x

Thanks Shan and GG. Im on a night shift again tonight and struggling 6 hours in. I'm usually pretty good with the long hours etc but I may have to ask to do a couple weeks of short days if this keeps happening!

You all sound so prepared! I'm waiting till after 20 w scan to do ANYTHING. We are also viewing a house tomorrow and if we like it, hopefully put an offer in and move before baby arrives! First time buyer so no idea what I'm getting myself in for... And omg 4 weeks till 3rd trimester for you guys? That all feels so far away to me, being one of the last due!! Still 2 months to go.. Also the last due to give birth at work, out of 3 of us, and my sister due a month before me, and last to give birth out of about 5 other friends...I hate you all!! Not really... but so excited to meet our little one... Can't wait

Also CAN'T WAIT FOR MATERNITY LEAVE! WOOHOO. 12 weeks left and counting down..

Gosh, love, I wouldn't know what I'd choose in your position. Wasn't your little girl on the big side though? I've never heard of anyone needing two forceps deliveries though, and I've been at least 80 births if that's any consolation. Plenty of time to keep our heads in the sand a little longer. It still feels totally surreal that this baby will come out of my body at some point.

Thank you for mentioning that, it gives me hope!!!!! I really do not want to go c-sec route but if it was a safer option, I don't want to be selfish and not do it, if you know what I mean. Of course baby's safe delivery comes first.

Don't know how I managed to miss your earlier post re losing vision?! That must've been terrifying!! I think you should definitely consider cutting down on long days, if your body is telling you to rest x
And yeah it kind of suck to be last in the 'labour queue' but then again you will have a number of people going through things you'll go through but earlier which means you can ask questions and get advise from 'fresh minds' which is really helpful especially when it comes to labour and fist weeks of baby's life x
Good luck with the house. If I can offer one bit of advise - should the house be a '2nd hand' and not a new build, if you plan to move in time for the baby do not go for anything that needs a lot of work done to it. Our first buy was like this. We practically stripped it down, took us 6 months of constant work and that was juts the 2 of us and the cat (he is ginger but for that 6 months was more black and gray from all the dust haha)!! x

morning all,

KHTW did you say you'll get a scan later on to check babies size? that's a tough choice you have but you've got plenty of time to think about it and you're right its about delivering your baby safely

my mum (who's a bit of a drama queen) has always said that I should have been given a c-sec once my DD got stuck and I shouldn't have been forced into a ventouse delivery, she doesn't listen to me though no matter how many times I say I would have fought against a c-sec until the last minute. for me I just can't bare the idea of the recovery time. I hate people doing things for me so while I was offered a c-sec this time at booking I declined straight away. very personal thing though

well there doesn't look to have been too much more snow over night. husband was called late last night to help pull out a car with his tractor, a stupid young lad who was heading out to see friends. made my blood boil. hopefully it's starting to calm here. it's times like this I really wish we had a log burner instead of an open fire, off to light it again

Shep, I am with you on c-sec and recovery time!!! I cannot imagine not being able play with DD or do things for the new baby right away. I can also imagine how stressful that would be for OH! (Although he is the one telling me to go for c-sec to be on the safe side).

Yes, I have a scan at 30 weeks and maybe will get another at 36 so there is hope we will know more. I just can't shake of the feeling that it is my body that was not meant for birthing babies with the no-hips and boy like figure!!!!!

Yes 24 weeks is still classed as C-Day! Not long for you yay x

Morning all,
So I’m getting cabin fever I’m not allowed out in my car or to walk the dogs, the roads round us are awful and I’m very clumsy so on house arrest until I’m back at work tomorrow.....
So been busy getting little bits sorted in the baby cave I now have a list of the last few bits we need so will be ordering those today while the other half is at work he he!

Rang the doctors this morning as my anti sickness tablets are low for them to tell me I need to go in and see a doctor I said not possible thats why I’m calling up (as my mum can collect the prescription for me, she’s closer) I told them last time I called the receptionist put a request in for the doctor to give me a prescription and it got sorted but oh no not today the doctor is going to call me then decide if I get one or not!!! (Sometimes they piss me off) not like I need them so I don’t end up in hospital again!!!! Grrrr! Rant over!

On an amazing note tho, the little gremlin was having a mini party in my stomach last night every time I sat up she kicked but when I lay down she settled so I got on the bed and relaxed and I felt an almighty kick and felt it on the out side aswell.... she did it a few times such an odd feeling going to see if the other half can feel it tonight incase it’s all in my imagination! Ha ha!!

What is c day?

Little gremlin you say? haha how nice :) Feeling baby move is awesome is it?!

Stay home and stay safe, loads of snow here too!

(viability day) When your baby is 24 weeks the chances of survival if born early increase by a lot x

Morning all.

Feeling better today. DDs school is still off. It's snowing a little but barely so I think we might be done. Dd ended up in my bed with the crazy wind last night and we both slept until 9, me pain free finally. Also got a little video of the baby kicking my stomach and moving it last night lol. She did it for ages and when I got my camera out she did it once and stopped. Typical lol

Shep I can't believe you're almost at the viable stage. That's what I'm counting down to. Ohh I'd have been mad my oH had to be dragged out in that to help someone being an idiot! Xx

KHTW ooh forgot you get a scan. Hopefully baby isn't huge for you though!

I agree with both of you on the section. I'm in full phobia mode with any surgery. But the thought of that recovery from major abdominal surgery with a newborn AND a child just horrifies me! Xx

Janey definitely look into that for work. Sounds like you really need a break. And it probably seems rubbish you're the last one, but at least you have more time to get everything done for baby. I really think I'm going in June tbh. xx

Amy that's lovely about baby, and I hope you get your anti sickness sorted. Have you tried without them? I can't remember if you had HV or not. Sounds like you're very organised on baby's room. Mine is still full of junk and needs cleared out at the weekend  xx
