"Son, I love you, but this is my grandchild and our baby together so you don't get to make all the decisions, I'm your mum, I say the bump is called Peanut. Sausage is a horrible name."

Ok... She is nuts!!!! x

Yes, she is nuts. Me and Dan use "what the actual fuck" with hilarious regularity when it comes to his mum.

I'm not saying anything to her. Not responding to something that deserves nothing but indifference, lol.

What I will say should she piss me off like this in future is, "so, you're so concerned about your rights and what you get to decide, but you can't be bothered to ask or care how the baby is actually doing? Grandmother of the year award nominee right there!!!

Hahaha Shan!!! GG I think she does need sectioning if she thinks that is her baby. I can't breathe when I look at the "it's our baby" part of the sentence!!

Did she have sex with Dan? No.. So no it is not her baby. Freak

Jem, I just tagged you in the shed post so you can see her comments there, lol

Dans name on facebook is Will Knot. I know, confusing, he just gt fed up of friend requests from people he used to know in school lol. His mum is Pat.

wow GG that's ridiculous

I bloody hate people messaging like that! my mum is a nightmare for it, we'll go see her and everything seems fine but within 30 mins for me getting home I'll get a message that starts like "now I know your ******'s mum but I need to say.... "

but honestly I'd just ignore it. who really cares what she says online. if she says to your face "how's peanut doing" then correct her but ignore her online stuff. people online will either know what she's like already and if they don't they'll see when baby is here how little involvement she actually has

That's all she does it for. They're all the same. According to her posts, you'd think she's the most adoring, caring person in the world. They're just words though. Never backed up with actual actions. They just say what they think will make them look good

I know everyone is different, but what are the best bottles to start off with?
There are so many options (Tommy Tippee, Avent, MAM).

I am hoping to breastfeed, but eventually express and then bottle feed during the day and bf at night. But my sister mentioned something about the baby gets lazy when they start bottle feeding because it's easier for them so they don't want to work for it with the breast anymore?? (don't know if this is BS tbh because she tried to breastfeed once and couldn't do it, so didn't persevere.)

Anyone, does anyone have a preference on bottles? Which ones they think are better or what they would use? Or are they all the time? I've only ever heard of Tommy Tippee tbh, but that doesn't necessarily mean its the best brand x

Ive used Tommy Tippee with combi feeding b4 with my second, he was fine with both. My other 2 where pains to take a bottle i think they do chose their preference sometimes which can make either or a bit difficult. But mine eventually took to bottles and again i used Tommy Tippee xx

Wow GG ur MIL sounds like a bloody nightmare! Mines opinionated which is frustrating enough but urs seems a whole other level of twat! When i had my first I’ll never forget my OH at the times Nan saying oh I can’t believe shes ours in was like what the fuck pretty sure id remember if u where there when we made her!! Also we asked her whilst i was pregnant what she would like to be referred to as (gran granny nan etc) coz my daughter was set to have 4 grannys at that poiny which gets a little confusing... she came back and told my OH that she wanted to be called boo! I was like u fucking what?! Boo!! Shes a shitting grandparent not a ghost! I mean im all for nicknames when it comes from the kiddo but to elect urself as boo... no take ur head for a shit and just for that ur Grandma! The oldest sounding choice i can think of!! Haha!! Bloody inlaws can be the worst!! Xx

Dan and I were talking about this on the weekend. Essentially, I will be expressing and bottle feeding from the beginning. Me and my sister were purely formula fed and I think the shot about being bf and more Intelligent is bollocks as we've both been mensa members, lol.
I have such a stupidly busy life and it needs to be to support having the baby. I also want Dan and I to have the same experience as much as is possible. I know there will be mums who vehemently disagree with that, but honestly, it's the option that will be best for us all in the long run.

So, we decided to buy one of every type of bottle brand to see which baby dies best with. I think Dr. Brown's are meant to be really good for preventing colic etc.

I agree with that logic GG. I want OH to experience feeding baby too. I want to express and feed that way rather than formula. Until the point I don't feel comfortable breastfeeding anymore.
I know every baby is different and some don't take to breastfeeding at all, but will be doing my best to breastfeed

Oh Wow!!!

Yeah had alot of issues with those inlaws! Even after he left when i was 36ish weeks with our second planned baby just 9 months after we got married (there was another woman!) they still saw him as golden boy, he essentially stole £3000 from me... still golden boy! Xx

Personally for me I'll not be using tommee tippee this time. Dd did get very confused with my nipples and the tommee tippee teats. Latching so so hard with her after that.

To be fair I had a 24 hrs in hospital where I couldn't breastfeed because of the tests I had. So I had to express beforehand and put it into bottles. She fed from me and latched fine before this with no issue but once she got the bottle she wasn't a nightmare! Could be because the teats from those are so different to my nipples personally. I'm still trying to figure out which bottles are best for me with breastfeeding then expressing xx

Just went and boxes of nappies and boxes of wipes in Asda. And a few baby bits. Finally getting my arse in gear lol. Going to hopefully do a lot this month  Starting to get antsy about getting stuff in lol
