****July 2018 Mummies - Tri 2****

Anyone else feel like the baby is putting serious pressure on their bladder... I thought second trimester that's supposed to lessen! I'm running to the toilet more than ever and I can't tell if it's going to be a dribble or a bucketful. I feel like an incontinent old lady omg.

This was me last night!!! Couldn't stop peeing. I am pretty sure with DD I only had frequent toilet trips in 3rd tri. It was weird x

17 weeks today yay!!! Midwife at 3pm. Gender scan in 9 days!!!

Dd will not sleep in her crib only in my bed. Every time i put her in she's fast asleep then suddenly like the fuck no, get me out cry cry cry. Lool. Dont like her in bed with me incase I roll, or she rolls out, and she has a breathing moniter under her crib matters so will have to keep trying

That is never easy. I remember DD started doing this between 4-5 months and I caved in... I let her sleep in bed with me, under her own blanket/sleeping bag. 2 years later we still co-sleep lol so be warned :D BUT with all honestly I love co-sleeping; I love the closeness, cuddles, being able to soothe her immediately. It worked for us. We both slept better x

Yeah my little sister is 6 and has only just gone into her own bed, my mom tried everything over the years. She started letting the digs sleep in the room with her and she finally staying in there (think scared to be alone?)
She's 6 months next month, and were gonna put her in her own room :( lol it's gonna be hard but can't have 2 of them in our bed/room they'll keep each other awake lol

Hi Amy. Congrats. Proper midsummer baby for you, how lovely. Xxx

Thank you GG :) yes and as most of our families have birthdays around Christmas it is nice to break it up a bit!

Hope you are well xx

Hi Amy welcome to July mummies. Sounds like you've had a good pregnancy so far fx it stays easy for you. This will be my second and this one has not been easy at all lol. I also have a 4 year old daughter.

I'm rubbish with nub theory but you should post your scan on 2nd tri and see what the ladies think.

I'll pop your date up if you'd like. I just remembered your post about working out your due date lol. Oh you're also our latest date! When is your 20week scan? Xx[/QUOTE]

Thank you :)

Fingers crossed although things can change so quickly!
Oh wow .. i am happy to rest when i can so having a young child must keep you busy busy!!

Lovely, will post them and see what people think :)

Yes that was me! I knew we had to be further along but just wanted to confirm .. would love you to pop me on the list and i have my 20 week scan on the 15th March although going back before to see the drug department (all being well i am hoping for water birth)

Hope you are well xx

Morning all. Congrats on hitting 17band 18 weeks ladies. I hit 17 weeks yesterday and have mw in 40 minutes.

Bladder not too bad but definitely feeling some pressure. Feeling a lot more quickening now, especially if I sneeze or cough. Slept great last night though. Dan is struck down with man flu so slept on the sofa and I had my collie up with me for snuggles, I always sleep best with him next to me.

Right, I better make tracks.

Hope you all have a lovely day xx

I hope you will succeed, really. I found it too hard. It looks very likely that I will be co-sleeping with 2 at least for a part of the night until OH comes back from work. I can't see DD settling by herself by the time baby comes...She was doing so well for a while, going to sleep on her own but then she caught a cold and was miserable hence crying the second I was attempting to leave her bed.

Whatever happens, we will make it work x

Oh yeah :)

Me very happy. Heard the heartbeat the very moment the probe touched me, lol. Very strong heartbeat in there and she was laughing as she had to keep following it around due to it wriggling around so much.
I honestly love this woman...I wish those of you with bad midwives had someone like Janet. She's just so bloody lovely.
My blood pressure was 110/30 which she's super happy with, I've gained 9lbs and she's fine with that too.

I'm almost gutted that I don't see her again until week 25, lol.

So, next appointment is consultant on 1st Feb, then scan on 15th.

So looking forward to the scan so Dan can be with me and see little one again xx

Ahh it's definitely hard! We didn't really co sleep properly until dd was about 8 months. I said I never ever do it too. I'm not even sure how it happened but we were moving and it just ended up that way. She wasn't properly sleeping in her own bed until I think just before she turned 3 or just after. I love it tbh. I settle so much more when she comes in which I'm sure isn't the best thing for me to do. Otherwise I check on her every time I get up. Especially with OH leaving just after 4 am sometimes

Dd still ends up in my bed if she wakes up and can't settle, or if she had a cold etc. I'm not sure what we'll be doing when the baby arrives but I couldn't just kick her out if she asked to come in so like you I'll have to make it work. Going to be interesting that's for sure

How'd you get on last night PB? Xx

Ah fab GG about baby's heartbeat. Sounds like he or she is going to be giving you some major kicks soon lol

My midwife appointment is tomorrow. And NHS scan is 16th lol seems like I'm a day behind you with everhing lol. Sounds like they're keeping an eye on you which is great. And I'd agree having a nice midwife makes all the difference believe me I'd know with my last xx

That's great GG!! Can't wait for mine at 3pm today! x

Morning ladies. Not been on in a while and there are so many pages on here! Hope you're all doing well.

Can't believe some of you are weeks 17 and 18 already. Where is the time going? I'll be 15 tomorrow. Don't think my next scan/gender scan is until the beginning of March some time.

I'm also constantly peeing at the moment! Usually about three times at night, which is a total pain as then my sleep is all broken up.

With weight gain how much should we be looking to gain in a pregnancy? I have my next midwife appointment in 2 weeks so I'll ask then, but I weighed myself today and I weigh less now than I did when I first fell pregnant (only 3lbs less) as I haven't been feeling great the last 3 weeks and haven't been eating that well. I feel like my appetite's returned in the last couple of days though but last night I ate a lot as I was hungry and then felt really shit after!

She slept with me all night, tbh was the first decent night sleep I've had in ages. 10 till 8 aha. Hubby was away so she slept in his place :p
Tbf her mattress looks uncomfortable, maybe she just likes the comfyness of ours. Her cot matters looks amazing so hoping she likes it more :)

Hi everyone :)

have dipped in and out of the forum in recent weeks but after having our scan today I would love to be able to join the 2nd tri group and go on this journey together :)

We have been dated at 13weeks and 5 days with an expected due date of the 27th July (we were originally given the 3rdof August but I knew that we had conceived quite early so was expecting to be a little further!)

Happy to say that so far I have just experienced some tiredness and increase in appetite and although I am *trying* to stay away from cookies I am REALLLLY enjoying fruit and veggies so not all bad I guess

Would love to say I have a bump but I have had constant bloat from around 6 weeks and seeing as it is quite squidgy I am not sure I can claim it as baby bump lol .. have been trying to achieve the 10000 steps a day thing but in reality I am sometimes only hitting 3000 which I have been told is pretty terrible (not sure my app is working properly!! haha) but looking forward to starting YogaBellies soon! (gutted there is no aquanatel in my area :( )

Have got ourselves some scan pictures but yet to show family (over the coming days they will all have seen, I imagine) but shall upload ... we were trying to see if we could figure out the nub theory but I am not entirely sure what I am looking at ... plus other half really wants a boy (but happy either way in all honesty)so not sure I want to give him false hope etc :P

Anyways sorry for the long intro .. looking forward to getting more involved

Amy
xx
Hi Amy! Welcome to tri two and yay I'm due 25th July so we are super close :)

You sound like you're living the dream pregnancy haha I'm really glad it's going well for you!
