****July 2018 Mummies - Tri 2****

Flowerbomb very cute scan pic, is it the way I'm looking at it, or baby looking at us in that lol? Xx

Well they mentioned my history of depression but just told me to speak to my midwife about it if I needed to.
I have no idea what pathway I'm on? X

It's in your notes on page 4. Sometimes depends on what they agreed at booking though it can change. I was amber this time because of my back, changed to green afterwards.

My history was only mentioned with dd because I had a few suicide attempts as a teen. Also my midwife was awful too. Told them I was fine then but they still put me with consultant until he cleared me. They don't care this time with this baby though as it was so long ago now Xx

Jem I wouldn't refuse to be consultant led unless the tell you they don't need to see you. It may seem pointless now but you could feel different in a couple months time x

Cute pic flower, baby look like it has chubby cheeks already so cute x

I'm intermediate in the pathway. Which I guess would be the same as Amber.

Yeah I know I may need it in future but I honestly don't think so after today, it just doesn't seem worth it. I'll see how next one goes and mention it to midwife tomorrow.

Hi everyone :)

have dipped in and out of the forum in recent weeks but after having our scan today I would love to be able to join the 2nd tri group and go on this journey together :)

We have been dated at 13weeks and 5 days with an expected due date of the 27th July (we were originally given the 3rdof August but I knew that we had conceived quite early so was expecting to be a little further!)

Happy to say that so far I have just experienced some tiredness and increase in appetite and although I am *trying* to stay away from cookies I am REALLLLY enjoying fruit and veggies so not all bad I guess

Would love to say I have a bump but I have had constant bloat from around 6 weeks and seeing as it is quite squidgy I am not sure I can claim it as baby bump lol .. have been trying to achieve the 10000 steps a day thing but in reality I am sometimes only hitting 3000 which I have been told is pretty terrible (not sure my app is working properly!! haha) but looking forward to starting YogaBellies soon! (gutted there is no aquanatel in my area :( )

Have got ourselves some scan pictures but yet to show family (over the coming days they will all have seen, I imagine) but shall upload ... we were trying to see if we could figure out the nub theory but I am not entirely sure what I am looking at ... plus other half really wants a boy (but happy either way in all honesty)so not sure I want to give him false hope etc :P

Anyways sorry for the long intro .. looking forward to getting more involved

Hi Amy. Congrats. Proper midsummer baby for you, how lovely. Xxx

Haha. Baby was very cheeky that day, it wouldn't lie down for the midwife to be able to the checks for downs etc.
Got my blood test for it on Friday.

It all depends on if midwives are not comfortable with you being midwife led too. And how your bmi and diabetes test go. If it were me I'd stay that way. I may end up consultant led too if my Bp plays up or my disk or bmi change. There's not too much for them to do right now but later on you may feel reassured by being with the consultant. Sorry Jem I know that's probably not really helpful xx

Hi Amy welcome to July mummies. Sounds like you've had a good pregnancy so far fx it stays easy for you. This will be my second and this one has not been easy at all lol. I also have a 4 year old daughter.

I'm rubbish with nub theory but you should post your scan on 2nd tri and see what the ladies think.

I'll pop your date up if you'd like. I just remembered your post about working out your due date lol. Oh you're also our latest date! When is your 20week scan? Xx

The bmi stuff can be a bit patronising from some of them. Feel free to tell them that though. If anyone talks to me like I'm five they'll be told haha xx

She was told today haha. I basically did her job for her!

They never said anything about my weight. They kept saying dd was big but wasn't worried cos I'm on the bigger side but I'm 5'7 and big even if i wasnt overweight so :/
I think it's rude, maybe suggest healthy eating, or going to see someone who can help with a healthier lifestyle. But just flat out saying your overweight and need to stop eating shit is unreasonable lol

It doesn't really bother me tbh. I know I'm bigger and that's just the way it is. I don't feel I need a doctor to sit there and tell me it lol x

Jem some of them are horrible tho. Mines always been OK... Would hate one that went on about it.

Dd will not sleep in her crib only in my bed. Every time i put her in she's fast asleep then suddenly like the fuck no, get me out cry cry cry. Lool. Dont like her in bed with me incase I roll, or she rolls out, and she has a breathing moniter under her crib matters so will have to keep trying

I'm officially second tri and not an imposter today! Yaaaaay 14 weeks FINALLY!

Not been able to catch up, hope everyone is okay xxx

Yay due date buddies haha mine isn't until 18th March or something awful. I'm so confused. If we have the same due date how are u 15 weeks and me just 14...and how are our scans so far apart. I need to go recalculate hahaha xx

Lol so if you're 14 w 1 day for instance, that means you have completed 14 full weeks plus a day so you are in your 15th week of pregnancy. Like my app tells me I'm 14+1... But it says currently IN week 15. My app gives me the option of showing me "current week" ie. Week 15 or "completed week" which would be week 14- ie old news to me!

Also it just makes me feel better that time is ticking on... Cuz I still feel like this pregnancy is going slow.

Anyone else feel like the baby is putting serious pressure on their bladder... I thought second trimester that's supposed to lessen! I'm running to the toilet more than ever and I can't tell if it's going to be a dribble or a bucketful. I feel like an incontinent old lady omg.

That is never easy. I remember DD started doing this between 4-5 months and I caved in... I let her sleep in bed with me, under her own blanket/sleeping bag. 2 years later we still co-sleep lol so be warned :D BUT with all honestly I love co-sleeping; I love the closeness, cuddles, being able to soothe her immediately. It worked for us. We both slept better x
