****July 2018 Mummies - Tri 2****

Awww that’s lovely way to imbrace stretch marks Shepherdess! I didn’t have any before my LG and have just got a strip of them either side of my belly! I put on so much cream and bio oil! I was feeling like that with my first literally inspecting my tummy every two minutes to make sure I didn’t have any but now like you say they fade silver and it’s nothing compared to the beautiful little bundle you have! You would do anything for that child cut your arm leg off die for the child so trust me a few little stretch marks will not bother you!!

My husband is a July baby so secretly hoping it will be around 24 July! Would be nice! I had to be induced last time because they said babies growth had tailed off! Apparently my placenta was crystallised when it came out what ever that means! So I am under the consultant this time too!! Appointments galore!! Xx

I need to catch up, missed a lot of threads x

Welcome Mexico :)

Re stretch marks, I've got some starting on my belly too but I really don't care. Maybe it's being 39, maybe it's just my outlook on life but not a single one of us is perfect. Some have beautiful outside and ugly insides, some are the opposite and some lucky *******s get both. I'm happy with who I am on the inside and have ling since accepted who I am on the outside. Dan has been a big part in that. If he doesn't give a shit about things like stretch marks and extra weight, I'm not going to waste energy worrying about it.

Also, you don't have a baby in your arms yet so you've not got that tangible outcome of said stretch marks. Sadly, all the creams in the world can't help some of us but they are a wonderful sign that your baby is growing beautifully and your amazing body knows exactly what to do. Xx

I'm like you GG things like stretch marks really don't bother me, I got them they're there that's that. my dad has had lots of skin cancers and his face is so scarred but he's the best and everyone loves him and I'm just grateful he's here. that's what's important not the different markings we all have

And JaneyJan, do rest when you can. When at work, if that means 10 minutes in your car or a quiet room with an alarm set so you can allow your eyes to rest for 10 minutes do it. My days are bonkers, I'm up at 6 to do horse checks, been 4.30 last three days as had breakfasts at the pub due to the Severn Bore phenomenon. Then it's breakfast for me, dog walks, an hour res in which time I check the horses quickly again, shopping, pub to prep, do lunch service, I get two to three hours in the afternoon when I need to do another horse check and dog walk and try to make sure I get at least 30 minutes with my eyes shut, then pub to prep and do evening service til about 10.

Sunday's, despite being early starts, Dan will take over the early horse checks when I'm bigger, are killers physically as I'm on it from 4.30 ish to anywhere from 5-7 in the evening with no break. But I have the evening to relax and Monday off and Dan always does the horses on Mondays for me to relax and lie in.

This is normal for me. Shep will no doubt have a similar life, but harder with a child at foot, it's what we get for choosing farm life but this isn't a competition at all, I'm conditioned to it, but that's meant that I have well and truly learned that the bidy really does benefit from a few stolen minutes here and there through the day to just mentally switch off.

Make sure you can get those moments as your body really is doing something amazing and it's taking up a lot of your energy.

Plus, it is no doubt 10x harder for you than me as I chose this life and am my own boss, you have responsibilties far greater than mine and it's probably much harder for you to be able to get the rest you need. So, as that rest is so important, don't think twice about a trip to your GP to get put on light duties. Work will just have to suck it if they don't like it...you are more important.

And bed...if it isn't already, make your bedroom an absolute shrine to sleeping. I have a rule of no phone/tv/anything like that in the bedroom. All I do with my phone is set my alarm. I'll only use it if I wake at stupid o'clock or sit up in the morning. My body knows that as soon as I am in that room, it goes to sleep and that's really really important.

I really hope you've been able to get some rest this weekend, it's hard work being a slow cooker for our little mini-me's xxx

And...I can and do moan about being tired all the time, but I only have myself to blame. Just look after yourself. Xxx

eeek girls it's scan day for me tomorrow! I'm so excited! because we didn't find out with DD I didn't get any of this excitement. I can't wait. another bad bout of ibs last night and I'm sure I'm having a boy

I'm going to struggle to contain my excitement today but I've been trying not to mention baby to DD too much so she doesn't get overwhelmed

Ooh Shep that's come in fast! I was so sure this one was a boy with all my crappy symptoms being so different to dd. So you never know haha. What time is your scan? Xx

So for the stretch mark talk. I have them. Nothing at all you can do so don't listen to people who say this cream or that cream kept them away. Most find that if they are going to get them they will happen in the last few weeks. Me! I've told dd I got them making her too which she just finds great. And mine are also starting to go a little red again but I'm not fussed. If ever there was a reason for stretch marks I think making your baby is a great one. Bio oil works wonders in helping them fade awfterwards btw

scan is at 11. I think the morning is going to drag while DD and I wait for husband to feed the sheep

My message deleted haha my 20 week scan is really late actually cuz they were booked up and couldn't get me in any sooner. Was a bit disappointed so we booked privately instead!

I haven't a clue but I've been having boy vibes haha wbu? Xx

Aww a girlie KHTW! Congrats. Your girls will grow up so close together.

I've heard people speak wonders about Bio Oil re stretch marks but I really think it's genetic and if we are going to get them there's nothing we can do to stop them.

Anyone else get sore hips sleeping on their sides? It's really annoying me recently as I always sleep on my side and I know it's better during pregnancy anyway but the temptation to sleep on my back to avoid sore hips is growing! Not sure would a pregnancy pillow help with this?

Ita been really weird but if sleep on my right side I wake up in agony but left side is fine. I've never been a back sleeper so that's not comfortable for me and I wouldn't want to get used to that anyway now haha I have a pregnancy pillow which helps. I don't know how I ever lived without it haha xx

Well this is a new one for me :wall:

Ivy's had breakfast and she's sitting on the rug watching tv while me and oH are finishing our breakfast. She's looking very strange and starts whining. I'm like what's wrong?

Nothing *cries* *more crying* *looking guilty*

So a few more attempts of what's wrong "I can't help if you dont tell me what it is" she says there's something in her nose.

Right okay. Fine

Me rolling my eyes thinking how dramatic she is. All that over a blocked nose for goodness sake. So I'm like well come here and I'll help you. So she tips her head back And guess what?! A FUCKING SILVER BEAD. My clever child actually put bead in her nose. AT FOUR! What a stereotypical move. I was like seriously?! Did you actually-- seriously?

Got it out anyway so she was clearly whining cause she thought she'd get in trouble for being ridiculously stupid. I swear she's actually clever lol :wall2: :wall2: :wall2:

Good luck FTMs haha. All of you worrying about the newborn stages honestly you'll be grand. Wait until they're four though. Ffs

Oh and I asked her "Why did you do that?"

Her response "Well you didn't say 'Don't put beads in your nose'"

Sorry- totally my fault then.

Guys i was reading through the Feb 3rd trimester thread and I'm actually now really excited! It's weird how my hormones are atm haha

I think I need to focus more on the end goal and having a squishy little baby at the end. I've been so caught up in the panic that reading that thread really helped haha xx
