****July 2018 Mummies - Tri 2****

Morning ladies,

Having a bit of a traumatic day and it’s only 3:45am!!!
The travel system came yesterday we put it all together and it’s amazing but the actual realisation of we are having a baby kicked in ..... and I’m now panicking and worrying and getting scared that it won’t be long before this little human is here and we have to look after it!!!! Is this normal?? This is our first!

I feel like I just wanna break down and cry I’m that scared right now.

Tired and emotional!

I had that when I was pregnant in my 20's...really early on and it's totally normal.

Now I'm 39 and expecting our first (about time eh) I am in a totally different head space, lol.

No emotions or feelings are wring for any of us. What you need to remember though is to be kind to yourself. Your feelings aren't even your own at the moment as they're driven by hormones, so don't judge yourself, just go with it and remind yourself of a few things...

1/ You absolutely CAN do this and will be an amazing mum.

2/ These are totally normal feelings and you'll be an amazing mum.

3/ This is just the beginning of doubting yourself. Your have a lifetime of it ahead of you now, but bit just means you care that much about getting it right...because you'll be an amazing mum.

Cry if you need to. Rant if you need to...but be kind to yourself. You've got this in the bag, even if you don't know it yet. Xxx

Morning ladies.

I was going to be at the pub for 6.30. I've just put the kettle on and sat back down on the sofa, lol. Was so ahead of time last Sunday I thought, fuck it...don't need to put the first meat in til 8 so why am I getting there so damned early when the living room is warm and I have Dans snoring for company. He stayed in here last Saturday as well to let me have a good night's sleep bless him. This Morning, I have been taking stuff out of the fridge, have let the dogs out, put more wood on the fire and he's snores through it all bless him.

I think we have a few more people coming today so hopefully in another few weeks we'll be making money on the carvery, not losing it.

Had a bit of a wobbly day yesterday so have decided to change the menu until it starts to pick up. Make it much cheaper and easier and don't want to cry when I'm throwing stock away.

Pregnancy wise, anyone else get a really tight/tender uterus just in the evenings? I've been it this past week, every night. It's not horrid or painful but I guess just stretching. Always the evenings though and so feel very protective and have to hold myself when I move or get up and down

Hope you all have a lovely Sunday. Xx

Hi Lucy welcome to the forum.

How exciting finding out gender so soon! How far along are you? Edit: nevermind I just saw the title lol. Let me know if you'd like your date put up with the rest of us

For me I felt nothing substantial with my daughter until probably 18 weeks onwards. Even then I was second guessing myself. With this one I've felt a few movements that I'm positive of. I'm definitely impatient but this pregnacy is also flying for me. Which is scary! Xx

It’s all so very exciting! I just can’t wait to pop. Excited to find out the gender Friday, my gut feeling is a girl and is quite strong to say the least!! Yeah you can put my date up please, if you don’t mind? I think we have literally bought almost everything off Tesco baby event, & I work there so even more discount for me 😏. We are quite stocked up now. Finished painting the baby’s room yesterday can’t wait to add a colour. This forum is so lovely to speakto people who’s due around the same time as you! As none of my friends or anybody I know are expecting I don’t want to keep boring them with baby talk! Hope all you yummy mummy’s are doing fine today xx

Thank you so much for those words, I did just have a little cry reading it.

I’m not used to so many emotions and it’s very over whelming.

*and breathe*

Amy its totally normal to have worries like that! mum's are supposed to worry. it doesn't ever go away. I'm pregnant with baby 2 and have had afew sleepless nights worrying if iI'm doing the right thing and worrying how DD will feel when baby comes. I'm so worried I won't cope but actually I'll cope fine. talk to your partner or a friend for some reassurance

Good luck with your carvery today GG I hope you don't have to bin much. I guess the time of year doesn't help, there will be lots of people trying to stay home to save money and so so many people doing dry January who'll stay home to eat to avoid the alcohol temptation

not entirely sure about the uterus feeling tight. I do get something similar but it's usually when I've done a bit too much. yesterday I griped two bales of silage and the came home and mopped the floors, by the time I stopped I had to hold my tummy for a bit and it felt very hard. I don't think we realise how much we use our stomach muscles and just how much bending we do doing normal jobs

think we're having another quiet day. I was starving again this morning so have just had pancakes with bacon, banana, raspberries and syrup.. amazing! I think about food all the time, I'm already thinking about the lamb I've got to make for lunch and the creme egg that's sitting on the bench haha

shanivy that unicorn cake looked fab! did you make it? I always struggle with getting colours that bright in cakes

If I lived near any where that did carvery I would be there every time it was on. Think positive it will pick up.

Past week or so I’ve had a few sharp tightening pains but mine are in the morning. I just kept myself busy and it helped a lot.

Well that wasn't so relaxing haha has anyone else been having vivid nightmares? I just actually jolted awake screaming... That was fun :( feel exhausted and now my head is banging xx

Yes!! Ibhad awful dream that i miscarried last night! Bloody awful! And although some parts of the dream where obviously a dream (instead of havinga a bath the bottom of the room filled with water) it was so vivid and real :( xx
Oh no thats awful! :( I hate it when they're so vivid and real then it affects you for at least a few hours when you wake up! Luckily none of mine have been baby related just usually something chasing me trying to kill me as I run frantically for my life.. So pleasant haha xx

Lol my dreams are weird right now too.

I had the worst dream of my life pregnant with this one. We watched that AI film the night before. You know the one where they get the AI robot child because their kid is seemingly never waking up?

Baisically we were viewing houses and dd was with us. There was a big hole on the top floor and dd fell through it and died. And my OH brought me a robot that was an identical replica of her.

I was sobbing at the top of the house saying it wasn't her and it wanted her not a robot. But it started crying and saying mummy in her voice and I had to pick it up because it was too much like her and I couldn't stand seeing it upset. I woke up absolutely sobbing and had to go get dd and bring her into our bed. Pregnancy dreams can be awful! I doubt I'll ever forget that dream xx
OMG that movie is so sad! That's a crazy dream I don't even blame u for having to go get her and bring her into your bed! I'd have been balling my eyes out!

I had a dream my husband died and I swear I was suctioned onto him like an octopus for about 2 days after. He barely got to pee alone

Also I wonder if there's a trend I had a dream yesterday I was viewing houses and I fell through the floor. Altho in my dream the upsetting part was that no one cared. My whole family were there and no one tried to help me. Every few steps as I tried to get out of this never ending huge house the floor was giving way and I was grasping onto everyone and anything not to fall through again and everyone was like nah you're fine shut up moaning and walking away haha xx

Hi, I’m Lucy new in this forum! Wanted to find people who’s due near me. Second trimester finally! We find it the sex on Friday, can’t wait. Anybody else impatient waiting for their belly too pop or sign of a first wriggle? First time mummy, and no belly whatsoever. Keep walking past the mirror to see if there’s any changes hahaha! Hurry up baby bump. Any other first time mummy’s feel the same as me? Xx
Welcome Lucy! Wow gender scan on Friday that's so soon! Exciting haha xx

GG- good luck today, I'm sure it will start to pick up soon. I'd definitely try it if I lived near. End of January everyone is still recovering from Christmas and most people are still skint lol. So hopefully by Feb they'll be more people starting to eat out again.

Don't think I've had tenderness exactly but I have had the sort of tight feeling.. It must just be stretching right now. Xx

Shep- I certainly didn't make the cake haha, paid a place to make it. I'm a great cook but honestly an absolutely awful baker. Can't even do the kids cupcake packs lol. I did cupcakes with a support client at work and set the smoke alarms off, which set them off in the whole building. Fire brigade are automatically called out and then had to check the whole building in full gear all cause of me and my stupid cupcake pack. It was bloody mortifying lol.

Hope you have a lovely day with dd. Don't know about you but I feel like I'm trying to make every day count with Ivy before this baby comes and it isn't just the 2 of us anymore if that makes sense xx

Amy - completely normal to feel that way. Every single first time mum will have a moment or two like that sometime in pregnancy. But the minute baby comes out, instincts kick in and you'll be fine. If it helps, me or anyone else couldn't ever look after your baby better than you when it comes. Even I had an omfg moment and this is my 2nd child lol. The rest of the ladies will tell you the same. xx

Laura -sounds like your dreams are as bad as mine lol. I was on some sort of mission last night I don't even know haha. Hope things are going a little better for you with your mum and stress etc xx

yes i know exactly what you mean! I've written a list of things I want to do with DD before baby comes. there's about 20 things (places mainly) on there if we don't do them all its fine as baby can tag along but I'd like to do two or three things a month. got the second one this Tuesday

I'm with you (kind of I've not set of any alarms haha) on the baking. I love to cook and I'm good at it but I don't really enjoy baking. I love carrot cake but generally unless it's creme brulee I'm not a huge sweet fan. I do make birthday cakes for husband and DD but theyre nothing special

Haha I have a list too! Safari park etc for when the weather gets a bit nicer. Some of them would be a little bit harder with a new baby so I'm fitting them in beforehand where dd gets all my attention. It's so weird this time around xx

That's exactly it, I didnt have the words to explain it! I always seem on some sort of mission and it always goes horrendously and then I end up frantically escaping and running for my life...sometimes away from humans and sometimes these weird monster things! Its weird anyway!

It has taken me until noon to even start functioning today! I can't ever remember feeling this tired and drained, like someone took your batteries out! It takes so much effort to do the smallest thing and then I have to sit for ages until the nausea, sickness and weakness subsides a little til I can talk myself into doing something else!

How is everyone doing with cravings or food aversions? I'm having more aversions than craving, basically can't eat any meat it all makes me feel sick even thinking about it!

Jem I was like that up until last week with meat. It comes and goes now. Same with dd too. No idea why. I can't cook raw meat still at all. Oh has to brown off anything raw for me or I heave lol. Then either I eat it or I can't xx

It's weird lol. Mixture of hormones and stress.

Hopefully your energy starts to pick up soon. Mine is still pretty rubbish now but I think my worst was 13-14 weeks to be honest. Xx

Happy Mondays everyone! Hope this week is kind to us all!!

I have midwife this Thursday, hoping to be able to hear the heartbeat. Gender scan in 12 days yay!

morning ladies I hope you're all feeling relatively well!

some of you have mentioned strange dreams, most of mine are about holidays and travelling and I guess that's because I know I won't be jetting abroad anytime soon haha. I'm so gutted I've not been skiing since before DD and was adamant I would this year but not now. definitely planning a little Scottish cabin break for the end of the summer

no major cravings or aversions here, I'm still not keen on tea. started craving sweet things a bit but nothing major

2 weeks until my scan, I wish it would hurry up I'm dying to get organised and sort baby clothes. I ordered a cute sheep sleep suit at the weekend but don't want to buy anything else until I know

Ooh Shep where are you thinking of? I've been wanting to go up to the cabins at Loch Ness since I moved here but never got round to it. It will be lovely I'm sure though whenever you choose Scotland is so beautiful Xx

KHTW so exciting mine is on Friday and I forgot we finally hear the heartbeat!! Bit worried about my BP but just have to wait and see xx

My scan is in 9 days omg! Do you guys think it's okay to take dd with us to this one? It's a 6 so easier to just take her.

PB you'll be 8 days then right?

I can't believe we'll all know what we're having in 2 weeks! Well except GG and her superhuman willpower lol. Going to be such an exciting thread for a bit. I've seen really good baby clothes sales and it's driving me insane not being able to get anything.
