****July 2018 Mummies - Tri 2****

Morning ladies! Hope you all had a good weekend.

Ahh snoring. Drives me nuts too. I end up elbowing OH to stop and he gets frustrated at me waking him up but if I don't I'll never get to sleep. I know you can get all these anti snoring wristbands and things but I assume they're just a con. If anyone thinks differently let me know haha.

I've finally got my 20 week scan today, yay! I feel like most of you had yours ages ago. Can't wait to see baby again.

Enjoy the McDonald's breakfast GG, I'm well jealous!

Guys my OH snores so bad as well. Literally I will have runs of nights where I'll have to sleep in the other room and I can still hear him through two closed doors. We've tried everything... Nasal sprays, throat sprays, nasal strips, sinus rinse, he even bought a contraption once which I laughed but wouldn't allow him to wear cuz he looked like a dog in a muzzle with these straps all round his face, chin and head... POOR GUY.. The only consistent thing that works is making him lie on his side facing away from me, it makes it quieten down a bit. And SOON he has an appointment at a sleep apnoea clinic, just to check is not that.. But it is hard...I can totally understand why some couples get separate bedrooms lol. He's not overweight either so it's so frustrating cuz I'm like....WhhhhhyyyyYyy are you snoring. Literally if he could fix that... It would be the best Christmas/birthday/anniversary present ever.

Before I forget...those whose hubby's snore excessively, have they been looked at for a deviated septum? My mum has it and honestly she can snore worse than anyone. A simple op would sort it but she won't have it done.

So...yes I will get bump pics tomorrow when I put some scan pics up...but...something utterly amazing just happened and I've been cuddling a very happily tearful Dan.
He cannot stop looking at my now massive bump and as I lay back on the sofa with it reclined, he came over and kissed all over the bump and lay his head on it while stroking it with his hand. It was so sweet, then his finger started bopping me in a rhythm. He said, "is that your heartbeat?". It wasn't. I told him that if my heart was beating that fast, he'd better drive me to A&E. It was so amazing. I can't believe it, he was listening to our babies heart beating. Then, he said, "did it just move?". It had. He could actually hear it moving around inside me. Like a swishing that he said you hear underwater when your arms and legs move. He stayed there for ages. Absolutely beautiful bonding moment for him and baby and I said I was glad he had something with baby that is just his as I obviously can't put my ear on my belly. So so lovely and I'm so happy he has his own "thing" with baby.

When he sat up he said, "to prove how much I love you, let's not tell my mum about this until after baby is born or you'll never get her off you" lol

Shan, I figured something was up with another deleted post bless you. Holding it all in won't help and actually...it could be part of why you are getting I'll a lot. Mental stress has physical ramifications eventually. I bet you're run down and your immune system isn't firing on all cylinders. Please give yourself a break. Hopefully you'll not have a repeat of this last few weeks bit do look after yourself.

On the milk thing...snap! I am all about nesquick chocolate milkshakes at the moment.

Oh...and the only current downside to a big bump is that I can no longer go too long without needing a wee anymore, lol.

Upside is, every one can now see the bump and is trying to look after me. Had to move a new horse earlier and her owner was like, "Oh god, you stay there you're pregnant, I'll move her" lol. I could get used to this, hahahaha

Haha Shan that drowning thing made me laugh.
Sorry you're feeling crappy. We all have those weeks. Hope it all looks up soon. It's so much worse when you don't feel well as well. I'm still absolutely exhausted at work, did another long day today and thought I was gonna pass out. My vision is also still quite blurry so I think I'll ring the midwife tomorrow just for some advice. It's ridiculous sometimes I'm sleeping 16 hours a day and I can still barely keep my eyes open! Still feeling nauseous at times too... But this baby will be worth it all.

Yes I'm still waiting for my scan! It's Wednesday at 3:30!! I can't wait and I need to see this baby again and get motivated to power through long work shifts! Can't wait to know if I'm having a son or a daughter!

Janey, I really hope midwife can help...but I hope even more that something can change at work for you xx

Thanks GG hun. I'm trying. I can't help deleting them though I can't stand listening or reading myself whine. Lovely image of your MIL holding you down and trying to listen to your bump haha. OH does this too...when she kicks a lot he likes to put his ear to my bump to hear and feel her moving. I love it's something the dads get to have to themselves, everything else in pregnancy is just ours. Try getting a little video of him doing it sometime for memories...I can't wait to see this bump tomorrow lol xx

JaneyJan thanks hun. Yes definitely get that checked to make sure it's not high bp. Have you spoken to work about how hard you're actually being pushed.? Did you ever have a risk assessment? I think it's so fab what you do but it's obviously super hard and I cant imagine doing it pregnant. You sound exhausted! Not long at all for that gender ! Xx

shanivy I'm sorry you're feeling so down, it's so hard when you don't get to see much of your oh. could you arrange a date night or maybe a family day sometime soon? so you're spending some actual awake hours together. you can rant on here anytime; I don't suppose last week would have helped with the weather meaning you're kind of stuck in alone.

I've woken up to baby kicking loads today which is lovely. hadn't felt her for a day. I really hope she gets herself into a better position soon because if she keeps going full days where I don't feel anything I'll be making lots of panicked trips to the hospital

off to buy a new mobile today, this old thing has stopped loading the keyboard up on occasion which has become a nightmare. hopefully I'll be able to find something cheap. also need to buy my mum's mother's day present, I feel so bad I've been online for hours trying to find somethinf nice and thoughtful but really struggled so getting her a voucher to get her hair cut. I know she'll be happy but I'm disappointed in myself

Haha yes to milkshakes and raspberries! Hubby took me out for lunch after the scan yesterday and I demolished an enormous steak and then a chocolate milkshake for dessert. I came home and had a pack of raspberries after as well. Feed the pregnant lady.

GG, I suggested a deviated septum to my OH and asked him to go to the doctor but he is refusing. I once told him he has a really perfect, straight nose and now he's using that as an excuse and saying you really want me to cut my perfect nose hahaha.

Shan, rant away any time. This thread is the perfect place as everyone is really supportive so don't feel bad about letting off some steam every now and then.

Lmao mala it only get worse! Near the end with dd wemt out i had a 14oz steak, chips, peas and a whole sode order of onion rings, then finished hubbys food and a chocolate brownie with ice cream. And i wasnt full. :o
Shep i hadnt been feeling mine for a few days, and today he hasnt bloody stopped i feel sick lmao. 24 weeks they should have a pattern x also try game or CEX for a secondhand one, i get a new phone rouhjly every 6 monts cos a clumsy fk... Places like those arw amazing.
Awh shan how cute! My hubby doeant do anything like that lol x

My mum has a perfectly straight nose as well and yet hers is severe. Bring the hammer down on him, lol...you need sleep!

Thanks everyone

Shep I had a few trips with dd, bloody anterior placentas. Glad she's giving you some movement now. Were going to try for some sort of date night but don't know when. OH is on late shift this week plus working Sat & Sun again. So we'll have to figure it out. Agree with PB of you need a cheap phone to try Cex, my mum used to take my brother there for cheap games and she used to get so mad at him because he'd tell the taxi driver take them to the sex shop. Every time lol

Also if I was your mum I'd be happy with getting my hair done, thats a great gift. She gets to treat herself but not have to pay for it. I wish lol. Ivy came to me yesterday and told me " Daddy got you Mother's Day stuff but it's a secret and I can't tell you what it is, but I know where it is if you've want to look, and I wont tell Daddy" lol xx

Malagueta ooh enjoy the pregnant eating! The best excuse you'll ever have lol. My appetite is crap at the minute I wish lol xx

haha Shan I love that Ivy said that, super cute! my husband is hopeless when I comes to things like mothers day tbh we're usually in the lambing shed although it's a bit earlier this year. I've planned a nice day out for DD and I. husband can come if he wants but I'm not putting up with any moaning from him on Sunday

didn't get far with buying a phone, unfortunately places like game are a 30 minute drive away. I went into the local shop, the second hand ones were all upwards of £120, found a new phone which would be great for £99 but then got to the till and was told actually SIM free it's £129! not happy. if I could just take the plunge and get one without 4g or anything extra then I could buy one for £30 but my brain needs some persuading

my reflux has been really bad the last 3 days, taking my ranitidine and gaviscon, so much so I'm worrying about my teeth

Here you go. The best of the six pictures. Great little profile of babies face and that arm is so clear

Well im getting chocolate aha rhought hed put more effort in being my first mothers day. Men eh.
Shan aha bless her. I love that kids find it so hard to keep stuff secret, my little sister is sooo bad for it. Tells everyone what tgeyre getting for xmas off my mom heh.
Such clear pics of baby gg! Lovely.
Was anyone having a 3D scan, theyll be coming up soon.. 28/29 weeks. Waiting for an offer from window to the womb for mine.

GG beautiful scans, look at that hand! Xx

Lol dd is getting better at learning not to tell presents, she's learning it spoils it for the person. She kept the baby gender a secret for the two weeks until I had my NHS and loved sharing a secret with us and the baby. Can't keep anything from me though lol.

Yes PB I would like a 3D scan but I've not booked it yet. No money for it right now really, probably will at the end of the month so ill be later than I wanted. Feel a little conflicted though as I didn't have one with Ivy Xx

Fab pics GG.

I was thinking about a 3D scan too. I have a few weeks to go though for the optimal time so I'm hoping a good offer will come up on Groupon or something.

Shan if you have a window to the womb near you follow thwm on fb they do deals. With dd got ours for 50 quid. I bet ivy would love seeing it, might be a thing that makes it a littlw more real for her.

PB thanks I'll look it up hun. I know I'd love to take her. When she's older though she's gonna be like wtf why didn't you have any extra scans with me haha

Crib just came finally! Some random hire van and it's sooo late but at least it's here. Ivy's freaking out and wants to build it haha.

Malagueta the woman at my last private scan told me the best 3D time is around 26-28 weeks. Though the later ones have amazing face shots as baby is chubbier xx

Thanks Shan. I found a clinic here that offer a 3D scan for €40 and it says best time is from 26 weeks too so I'll hang fire until then. €40 doesn't seem that bad compared to some other prices I've seen out there.

Im waiting till 30 weeks heh. Wanna know if hes me or hubby xD dd is a mini me. From the 20 week scan hes me from the size of his legs lmao i have long, chuncky legs, hubby just looked at me and said do you jusy fk yourself to get pregant because nither of them are me pahaha.
Awhhh im kinda sad dd isnt old enough to enjoy the pregnancy. Are you putting it up? Aha. When shes older just say it wasnt popular when you was preg with her lool x

Haha PB I'm going to tell her it didn't exist haha. Yes will be! Yours was amazing with dd how far along was that? I think yours made me not want to go as early as they told me too xx
