***July 2016 trimester 2***

Ohhh another July boy they're really taking over :) what fantastic news :) x

Congrats unicorn!!
Did they give you any idea on dates? X

Congratulations unicorn there's definitely a blue theme in July lol xx

congrats to your boy Unicorn!!!

I just found out we are having a baby GIRL!! Had a feeling and so happy. Sophia it is then :) :pink:

Its lovely to find out, feels you can connect more to the baby for some reason.

xx

Congrats Unicorn and MariaIsabelle!

i cant wait for my scan! still 4 weeks to go! the suspense is KILLING me!

Congratulations Unicorn and MariaIsabelle! For me, knowing the gender makes it all a bit more real. I can't wait to start picking out dresses for my little one!

Congrats Unicorn and MariaIsabella. We have decided not to find out the gender, when the midwife asked us at our 16 week appointment if we were going to find out she looked surprised when I said no and said well each to there own I suppose! I am sure that at the 20 week scan I will find it hard not to ask though.

I'm not finding out either, Redbootz. I'm not having a 20 week scan either though  I definitely think it would be hard to resist asking at the scan (or trying to spot boy bits) hehe.

Congrats on your scans ladies ... It's so exciting.

We might be booking a gender scan ... eek gonna chat more tomorrow about it :) xx

Thank you and congratulations on your girl Maria :-)
They're convinced we are a week ahead so due on the 20th July, we'll see xx

That zika virus is well scary. Seems to affect women in the first trimester but it's at such an unknown stage that anything's worrying. Think we're all safe in Europe though!!
Oh Unicorn, how come you have to see the geneticist again? Any ideas?
That's exciting about a gender scan! I've got to wait 2 weeks as my bloody doctor is on holiday! Can't wait to find out what we're having!

Hubby has reciprocal translocated chromosomes, which means nothing for him as they are doing each others job but could have implications for the baby if they're passed on translocated but not reciprocated but no one can seems to be able to tell us what it could mean exactly! We paid privately to try and be fully informed before we started ttc and thought we'd got to the bottom of it and drawn a line under it, but our consultant isn't happy with the information we've been given so we have to go back to Genetics! It's just one thing after the other xx

I don't think I could cope with my anxiety not having the scan at 20 weeks Phoenix85. I am already driving my husband insane with worrying about lack of movement after I had a few days of having felt things. He has no concerns as he is so laid back he is on the floor! The midwife dismissed my concerns and didn't offer to let me hear heart beat again or anything she just said its early still. I know we listened to the heartbeat just over a week ago but I can't help being so concerned. I won't get a home Doppler because for me I think it will cause more anxiety. I keep telling myself women coped without all these checks for centuries but it's not helping! I have a friend who is a radiographer and he says that the scans are not 100% safe he advised me not to have more than absolutely necessary but I do want extra ones later on convinced the husband for my sanity that I need them!
Unicorn I hope you get all the information you should have been given and that you don't have to wait to long till the appointment.

Thank you Redbootz, no we don't have to wait long, they rang us the day after our consultant made the referral (which freaked me out a bit, given that they are normally so slow) and want to see us asap, but we're away for a few days now so going on the beginning of next week! Xx
