I got the faintest BFP today (I think)

Congrats! Can I ask did you start clomid due to low progesterone bloods? I wanted to try it but because my progesterone was normal then we go straight to IVF end of the year.

No I was on clomid because I have PCOS and wasn’t ovulating but still had a regular cycle etc. It did bump up my progesterone this month I assume judging by the symptoms I had (which have all now vanished). - I’m actually scheduled in for an IVF referral on Friday.... xxxx

I've seen a few girls I know with a diagnosis PCOS or endo or fibroids and get pregnant quicker than we have with unexplained infertility...really wish we didn't have that diagnosis it's prob the worst to have. I just don't know what do for the best anymore....I've tried so many things. I get frustrated hearing ppl who have fertility issues get pregnant...that sounds so selfish but I am happy it worked out for them but it feels like am locked in a box with no key to get out....no answers and getting nowhere. When DH sperm is 'excellent' when you have a progesterone day 21 45 ...when your tubes are clear and ovaries clear... why o why is it not happening. Is there an actual list of the things it could be? Why can't they dig a bit more in detail ? Does anyone else feel a bit like this? When ivf is possible why is unexplained infertility even a thing?

I totally get your frustration. Although i have a pcos diagnosis it certainly hasn't been easyily fixed. We've been trying 6 years this summer and still have never been pregnant. Its so frustrating, I just feelvlioe throwing the towel in atm! Its so hard to just keep going isnt it x

Does NHS England only give 1 round? In Scotland we get 3 rounds ! . Our clinic does private patients too. Yeah If we don't catch by April the doc said 3 months post hsg is most fertile time so we will be having ivf end of the year . I have been reading about it lots and trying to fully prepare myself in advance.

I think it varies in some places but for most it's only 1. Which is rediculous because I felt like my first round was 'trial and error' with very poor outcome at my clinic. I think really they should have cancelled the cycle and started over!! Only 2 eggs were good enough (barely) to introduce to the sperm on my first round. Second round all 12 were fine, 6 fertilised but only 2 made it to day 5.

We got 2 rounds here. But you get as many frozen transfers as you have frozen embryos. So 1 IVF cycle could end up with 2+ transfers. xx

Millie, I hope you don't mind me asking but what made you feel like it was trial and error? If you'd known what you know now, is there anything you could have done differently?

For a start they tested my AMH levels after the first ivf round failed. Thankfully it's was a normal result.. but I think this is something that should have been done before.

The drugs I had on my first round didn't do much to begin with and they were constantly uping the dose, which didn't really make a difference.

I'm not sure if I could have done anything different myself with that round, maybe I could have asked more questions at appointments? But it was all new to me so I had no idea what was good and what wasn't xx

Feeling soooo happy right now.... I feel like I’ve got a fresh start in ttc After 2 months of a ttc ban because of having to have 2 mmr jabs and then a HyCosy test, I can finally start ttc again! woooohooooo! Currently on cycle day 12 and doc said the best days to dtd are days 9, 11, 13 and 15 so will start again tomorrow. Plus when I had my Hycosy I was told I was about to ovulate very soon so hopefully haven’t missed my chance this month also all our tests have come back clear and hubbys was actually better than average so it’s really gonna help me knowing that we are ok, if af does arrive! It’s always been a big worry on my mind so I’m so glad we’ve had all the tests done
I’m even looking forward to the tww, that’s how happy I am that we can start trying again

Thought for the day if you conceive today it will be a Scorpio baby!!! This happens to be same star sign as my hubby. Maybe it's a sign! Who knows but it's nice to dream.
