August 2020 Mummies

I feel I have it easy now compared to everyone else... I feel bad for moaning so stopped it as nausea okay, appetite back and only symptoms I have is tiredness and my saliva is thick so making me cough loads. Read that can be just due to dry mouth in pregnancy.

Hope you all start to feel better soon. Hope headaches and sickness eases for everyone and can enjoy pregnancy a little more

My headache atm is cold related. Feel like it’s turned into sinusitis, throbbing pain every time I stand up. Paracetamol isn’t shifting it.
This morning I went for a pee and thew my paracetamol up in the bath... sigh.

Peeing, yes. All the time. Constant. Some nights it’s 3/4 times others only 1/2.

My 20 week scan is booked in for March 20th, so will be nice to find out the babies genders before Mother’s Day on the Sunday. If they behave that is.

I have my first appointment at the twins clinic on Wednesday, so will probably find out all the extra appointments and scans I’m due to have. I think I read they scan you every 4 weeks after 20 weeks.
@mummybear2 - just thread hopping to say i have been suffering with headaches the past week and because im a worrier i didn't want to touch any tablets at all so i went out and got the cooling strips for your head and something called 4 head. Its a stick that you just swipe across your head. It has been working for me so maybe try that. Hope you feel better soon xx

I fell asleep last night in my daughters bed, waiting for her to fall asleep

Thank you. I have had the 4head before so I might try and see if I can get that. I haven’t really been going out much because of how sick I’ve been feeling but I will try and get something tomorrow if I still have it. My immune system is clearly too busy with these babies to deal with anything else!

Getting really impatient for my next scan date now!! My headache is so bad I’ve left work today that on top of my hubby started a new job today after quitting his other job last week to find they have completely lied to him and he can’t work there. All more stress I don’t need! :(

What ashame that headaches are so bad for you both. I had bad headaches first trimester but this one better. They did check more into history of pre-eclampsia as that can be one of symptoms if it doesn't go away when you lie down or if taken paracetamol. As that was only 1 thing linked after lots of questions I didn't need aspirin.

That is shocking how can people get away with that. Could he go back to old job? What ashame. Try not stress too much as not good for you or baby and hopefully he will get something within next week or so xxx

Think I might text my midwife and see what she thinks about the headaches.
No he tried his old employer and they’ve already made alternative arrangements no idea how we will pay our bills this month! Hubby is already in an IVA so if that fails we’ll lose the car too! Fingers crossed he’ll get something else soon. Been in tears all afternoon!x

OH no that is so so horrible. I wish him all the success in world... Last time I left due to difficult employers I joined an agency and got work the same week. Would at least be something temp until found job or maybe get permanent job through them like I did.

I would maybe just double check with midwife just to see what she says no harm as if they aren't going away and that bad. I never took paracetamol first Tri but midwife and consultant actually told me to take them when bad as they said it is safe and better for me and baby to get rid of bad headaches / migraines. Xxx

for headaches just keep sipping water and take paracetamol if necessary xxx

Mines 2nd March :) so getting there, we are not finding out as tempted as I am, due to my little boy wanting to know. But this is my last chance to have a surprise so I am determined :)

We finally made it to Tenerife last night after delays of more than 18 hours so not what I imagined my holiday starting like, delays are grim without a 5 and 2 year old as well as being pregnant haha but the kids were amazing and we are just going to go for breakfast and a day lounging at the pool :)

Hope your all ok xxx

Awww have an amazing holiday. I wondered if you got away in weather or delays as my cousin was delayed with flight home.

Nice love a buffet breakfast especially when pregnant and can never decide what to make. Hope the kids have the best time and you get a little relaxation by the pool.

We were not jealous honest :fib: :rotfl:

The next scans will be here before we all know it. Can't believe how much quicker the weeks are going now.

Yeh the weeks do seem to be going quickly, I'm starting to panic as was hoping to have a lot saved by the end of this month but seems now I'll be spending the savings I've made so far!

Wish they would hurry up and send me my next scan date so I have something to look forward to at least!x

It is funny how different areas work differently. Could you even phone or text to see if they have an appointment for you?
I hope you got some sleep last night. Actually felt really sad for you as stress none of us needs. Hope lots of positives now come for you.

I was the same wanted to save but feel like always something pops up. Need to start though but not going to go crazy or spend fortunes on prams or anything. Will try keep to a budget.

I got probably three hours, went out for a run this morning to try and clear my head which helped a bit, but I'm working from home today and husband walking around like a bear with a sore head so I'm just not going to talk to him!
We're quite lucky that my mother in law has bought our moses basket and is going to give us money for travel system so not got a great deal to save probably £600-£800.xx

That is so nice of her... No every saving to me is a good saving and helps.

What ashame 3 hours. Hope the run helped though be careful and make sure not to over do it when not sleeping so energy even lower. If he will stress you even more best to have a little quiet time so not to fall out. Sending big hugs to you  xxx

It’s currently 23 here which is lovely for this early been sitting around 26 degrees most days apparently so super cosy :) kids are loving it after the long travelling. Shame it’s cut out time in the sun down with the delays but making the most of the time we have :) it’s very much needed now that I am finally over the worst of the sickness (fingers crossed haha).

And the weeks are defiantly going quicker now, which kinda makes me sad as it’s my last time. I will be 18 weeks on Friday. Xxx

Nice temps especially when we have wind rain and snow. Now storm Dennis on way too. Rather have nice thick snow or hot sunshine.. Hate the wind and rain.

I know you are nearly half way through already. So happy the first Tri is past but also don't want it to feel like it has gone too fast xxx

The wind and rain is so depressing!! Although it is sunny here today but really windy still. I live in the countryside and I mean super rural, everything is so bloody mucky, the dogs have just made a mud pit now in the garden right by the back door so having to clean the floors twice a day at the moment. Oh I long for some warm weather....and dry ground xx
