Drama drama drama! BIL broke his tib and fib in a nasty football tackle. Poor mite has been in surgery today. Didn't get back from hospital until 2.30am and had to go to woke today. After admitting to boss I was struggling he has said it's fine for me to go on hol next week and then maternity, woo!!

Poor BIL is worried that he has let us down moving now and is stressing himself out about trying to help anyway. Told him to just sit with a brew it will be fine.

How's everyone else?

Oh and midwife went fine today, 4/5 engaged and baby is measuring fine. No problem to have a water birth if that's what I want. All good she also thinks she will be early. Just stay in til next week

Think this might be it. Been having contractions for the last hour and have just had the runs! If it isn't I'll be disappointed. If it is I'll be mightily impressed with our boy coming on time!

Still contracting. Duration of each is around 50secs but coming at random times between 6-10mins apart. Got tens machine on so hoping it's helping. Rung labour ward she recommended staying at home as long as can.

Seems I won't need that sweep after all

Mrsm- sorry to hear about your brother in law, I hope he's doing better soon. I understand his frustration at not helping out- dh has gone through the same thing this pregnancy ( different reason though)
Kaffee- how exciting! Sound like you are making some progress

I woke up just after 4 am. My lower back is in agony and nthngnhas helped so far. I've tried different positions, a hot shower, and will be having some paracetamol soon (had to have some cereal to settle the tummy first) Lots of cramps too, although not all are strong. Just need to hang in there till my scan later. Kinda regretting not getting a tens - will have to see if I can get my hands on one today .

Mrsm- poor BIL! Although great about mat leave and your mw appt! Best u r finishing earlier if mw thinks she's coming early!!!

Ooh good luck Kaffee! How lovely on your due date too!!

I had the worst night by far lastnight , think i only managed about 3 hours broken sleep. My toes and finger pain seems to be spreading to what feels like carpel tunnel in my hands but not sure what it is on feet!!! Soo over all this now i just feel like crying.

Going to take daughter swimming today as love the feeling of weightlessness.

HanSam- u really sound like u r in a lot of discomfort!...... Has your swelling got worse in hands and feet?? Do u know if your bp is ok? Maybe give mw a ring? Hope the swim helps!

I'm ok- nothing much to report except that I 'think' little man has gotten into a better position being more OA that lateral! He'll probably move back again though! Lol!!...... Hubby got up at 5 today to do a long day at work and won't b home til at least 8.30 tonight :-/ At least my parents r having Ethan for a bit today for me- otherwise it would b a mega long day!!!

Mum2b- I went back to bed for about an hour and got a bit more sleep. Seemed to help with the pain, was feeling better so I got up. Wish I hadn't lol. I'd go back to bed again, but now I have to get ready for my appointment. We'll see what they have to say. Still crampy and achey, dh hasn't noticed (a bit unusual for him), but I think I'll be asking him to drive today. Just not sure I'm up to it. I hope your little man stays in the right position for you!

Good luck Kaffee. August mummies is going to get more exciting by the day now.

I was 37 weeks yest meeting up with some old school friends for a picnic today. Trying to fit in seeing people I haven't seen for a while before the baby comes.

I still have a list of things to do before baby comes to keep me busy but think I'll be ok if baby was to make an early appearance xx

Afield- picnic with friends sounds lovely! .....I've started going into 'hibernation mode' now......I did last time too! Don't want to b too far from home or see many people anymore! Just feel too huge and can't b doing with comments and questions! At nearly 40 weeks I've had enough and with likely 2 more weeks to go I feel I need to keep to myself to preserve my sanity! Lol! Xx
