Sprk- that's lovely of your OH Yeh- like I said, I'm bring seen weekly now and I'm not technically high risk! (just think they're keeping an eye on me coz of PND). I would ring your mw and ask for a check at least once before next consultant appt!

Mikid- nice to hear from u! Sounds like things r def progressing in the tight direction for u hun! Hope u get your home water birth with your mw Let us know!!

Mum2b - Thanks for the input. I will give her a ring tomorrow. Feeling a bit disappointed after that check today. I know I've made some prove press of the cervix is getting softer (but only know that because I bothered to read my notes), but the consultant had no idea whether my 'pains' were muscular/skeletal or early labor pains. :-/ Now that I'm awake, they seem to be back, but not regular (I think lol) I'm gonna try timing them to see what happens. Dh can't believe there is an app for that lol.

Mikid- nice to hear from you again. I can be really bad at keeping up on pages like this too, sometimes.

Sprk - that was so lovely of your OH, and under the circumstances it makes it extra special that he's made the effort.

Mum2b - I agree, really insensitive. Names are a personal thing and she has three children, none of whom have names I would pick for my own kids, but I'd never say that. I've found if people have asked me if we've chosen a name I've just told them a few we like, up until we actually settled... Now they just try and suggest other names as if my mind is there for the swaying!

Hi gang!

So it's my due date today! I made it! Lol! I'm sure it will come and go with no baby......but hopefully not too much longer! My LMP due date is Monday and I think that's a bit more accurate!....... Not much on the symptom front other than nausea and low down pressure! ......Despite the fact he hasn't arrived yet I feel so incredibly lucky to get this far after fearing the worst in tri 2! And thinking back to others who started out with us all and lost their babies on the way Really am incredibly lucky!! So I'm going to smile and say only 2 more weeks left and he will be here- that's exciting!! Now come on body- u can do this yourself this time!! (Crosses fingers and says a desperate prayer! :-/ )

Just read Lanny's birth story- in birth announcements section. Certainly sounds like she went through it- bless her! Congratulations again hun- u did amazing!!

No news from Kaffee yet- hoping she is too busy feeding/cuddling tbh!

Congratulations mum2b! Fingers crossed for some baby arrival news before two weeks! My due date is Sunday but feel ill go over too. Have a sweep on Monday then another on Friday so hopefully my baby will get a wriggle on too. So glad it's not quite as hot though, makes everything so much easier. A colleague who is due 3 days after me is having a section today as baby is breech and I do feel a little envious that she knows when baby is arriving, though I'm not envious of the section.

Good luck everyone, hope there are more birth stories soon!

I have no energy today for tidying/cleaning now Sprk - def do it now you can & want to. This house was spotless & then a certain little boy has messed it up with birthday presents yesterday!

Well I thought I was in labour at 4am this morning but again, false alarm! Cramps woke me up so went to the loo but after I'd been the cramps seemed to have disappeared. TMI - been emptying my bowels a lot over last day so it was just that. Boo. I don't mind if she comes now DS's birthday is over & done with but otherwise I'm happy to wait until Monday. Lots of bum pressure & slight periody pains today but nothing else! Blood tests/pre op stuff tomorrow eek Xx

Happy due date mum2b, also glad you got a positive attitude to it all no breastfeeding hasn't been easy but you do get more confident I think.
Sorry in a bit of a daze this morning after been awake most of the night will catch up properly when I am more awake.

Hi girls. Sorry for delay. Phone died and no reception in labour ward!

So Ethan Robert has arrived bang on his due date at 4.20, weighing 9lb. Did it with tens machine, pool then 2 hours pushing with nothing! Some internal stitches for 1st degree tear. Stopped overnight so just waiting to be discharged. Will do birth story when I get some time at home.

Hope you're all doing ok, haven't been able to read recent threads due to rubbish reception!

Congrats Kaffee 9lb and only a 1 degree tear is impressive!

Mum2be - his birthday was fab thanks, we had a great family day out which I managed to go to because it was a cool day. Went to a big maze which I walked all round!! Xx

Mum2b I certainly feel different this time not that big as last time and didn't put much weight so I can't come to terms that it is only 6 days till I am due. I was late 9 days last time so certainly don't think this one will come any earlier I think around 14th will be my time.

Back from the consultant. She was very nice, she measured me and did babies heart beat. All was OK.
I have been booked in for a stretch and sweep as they said because of previous big babies so the worrying was for nothing and i guess the practises are just different accross the country.
Hoping the stretch and sweep works I'll be 38+2 on the day Friday 15th August.

Made me feel better even if it doesn't work at least it seems mentally like less timeto wait.

Yay!!! Massive congratulations!! Bang on time- how good was he?!! And u got to use the pool AND only a first degree tear- amazing hun!!...... Isn't that funny- my Ethan was 9lb too!! Fab name choice Hope u get home soon and look forward to the full story! So happy for u
