*****August 2014 Mummies*****

Hi girls. Those dam bad dreams are a pain. Just be thankful that's all they are some are not so lucky :). Omg the heat I am dying in it.

Well. Quick update as signal is poor. Went into labour early this morning strong and fast with a little water leak. Was put on a trace and examined and confirmed strong contraction. Was examined but she couldn't confirm or deny a water leak :/ weird lol and I was only 1cm dilated. Cos I have double the water I should have I had scan to check his position and he is head down but consultant wasn't happy and wanted a detailed scan. During this it was discovered he weighs 8lb11 now lol but because of his huge size at this age he may struggle with his breathing. I was admitted and have just had my second steroid shot. Quite nervous now that despite his amazing size that it might end up being a problem. Hoping to be able I keep him in there 9 more days. I'm showing signs of infection so being watched and have had some tests as hoping it's not in my waters. Midwife did say it could be due to lack of food and fluids as I admitted to not eating good for the last week with stress and have lost 5lb. Managed a sandwich today and some hula hoops. Dosnt sound a lot but better than the bite of biscuit I been having cos I wouldn't swallow due to a lump in my chest. Stress again but feeling better now so hoping I manage to eat tomorrow. Oliver is thriving weight wise lol but my body is shutting down so that's not good. Had to deal with my stress issues to try and help and it has so fingers crossed my baby stays put for 9 more days xxx

Wow what a day you have had lilmisshopeful. Fingers crossed your little man stays put for a few more days.

Hope everyone is feeling a little less emotional tomorrow and that the weather cools down a little for us all too.

I finished work on Friday so looking forward to a few weeks off although my diary seems to be full already!! X

Morning all.

Littlemiss- sounds like you're going through the mill. Hope he hangs on in there and your body starts behaving itself, but he's a good wright if he does come now.

Mummymidwife- hope you find a bra today, that's some knockers you have there. Hate to think what size mine would have got to if I'd not had them reduced. Agree Freya are the best bras for bigger boobs.

Really thought things had started last night. Some painful BH were coming in regular waves, making me sick and giving me lots of heavy pressure / pain down below. OH came to bed and asked if I was ok, told him what was happening. He went "ok, well try and get some sleep" then closed his eyes and started snoring straightaway. Some birth partner I have myself!!

Lilmiss- I hope all goes well. So Sorry to hear about all the stress you've been having and I hope it all eases up soon. Sounds like you and Oliver are being well looked after though.

Mummy midwife- good luck shopping today. I hate bra shopping lol.

Kaffee- How typical lol. Mine would panic and then start checking fb and emails over and over again lol.

I woke up every hour last night. Either I was uncomfortable, had to wee, or was having strong bh (or any combination thereof) :/ tried to just lay in, but on the of the cats caught a 'prize' and was crying outside because he anted us to see it. Stupid cat - I love him, but really, he is stupid lol. Need to get hubby for a blood test in a few hours - I think he's going to drive (it's v close to us), but I want to be there in case it's too much for him.
Happy Monday everyone! Here's to a good week :)

Morning gang!

Lilmiss- u don't ever do things by halves do u?! This pregnancy has been up and down for u for sure! Hope things have settled today but that they r keeping a good eye on u!!

Kaffee- I had an episode last night of feeling v sick and period cramps coming after I got up for my second loo trip at 2.30!! Thought I was going to have to get up and c what happened coz I felt so rough but nope- fell back to sleep again (thank God coz I was sooo tired yesterday!!).

Sprk- be good if baby holds off for u to get OH's appt done! Sounds like u have been an amazing support to him hun :-)

Coco- great your hospital bag is finished! I'm going to put a romper in today and I'm sorted! Hope u slept better xx

Shattered!!!! Glad baby is a good weight little miss.

Mummy mw I hate bra shopping at the best of times nvm just after having a baby.

Spark fingers crossed baby holds out for you

Had BH bad and groin pain from baby pushing down there I think. Also got a blooming summer cold :-( so feeling pretty rubbish

Oh god whyyyy did I do it? I thought I was being mean so decided to let DH DTD with me last night. It felt like I was just being poked with a stick. Does that mean my cervix is low so he's poking it? Haha TMI right there! Now got slight stomach cramps & just generally feel achey. Back hurt loads after it & was hard to get to sleep. Safe to say that's the last time in this pregnancy that will happen! Anyone else tried doing it?!
Slept better but DS woke at 4:30 whinging "mummy cuddle" so I had to go in & lie in his bed for an hour with him. So uncomfortable! Got him by myself today, it's usually my mums day with him but she wants a day alone - when I need help the most :(

Last MW appt this afternoon & then bloods on Fri & c section on Monday. I can almost taste the finish line!!!!

Hope you have fun bra shopping mummy_midwife, I hate it! Do you get scar tissue from mastitis? I didn't know that, I've had it twice in the same boob!

Little miss - hope he stays put a few more days & hope you get to eat a little more, you are going to need your strength if he is coming very soon.

Sprk - hope baby stays put for you!

Hope everyone is ok today xx

Oh coco! Lol! DTD isn't exactly 'easy' these days!..... Think maybe your cervix has come forward or something? Last time we did it (I think it was about 10 days ago?) It was a bit awkward but still felt ok......not felt up to it since!!..... Only a week to go until your section now :-) The 4th was my due date from my LMP! I'd love to have had bubs by then but don't think I will! Any signs I get just seem to keep fizzling out! Nothing ever seems to 'come and go' like contractions- its just constant type pains and aches and feelings! :-/
Hope your MW appt goes well! Mayb she will tell u u r in early labour?? Xx

Tell me about it! It was awful, I made him turn the light off anyway but can you imagine the look on my face when he was 'poking' me haha. I wasn't impressed, it was a hurry up & get out look for sure!! Really don't recommend it ...

I know, 7 days! Cannot believe it's come round so soon. I can't see her holding out but as long as I get DS's 2nd bday out the way on Wed, she can be free to come whenever! Will update on MW appt later. Off to make a mr tumble cake topper now & lots of fairy cakes for nursery...wish me luck hehe. Xx

Lol we DTD last night after about a week 'off'. DH was looking sulky but knows better than to ask me. My back was absolute agony last night and I think LO's feet are well under my ribs as they felt like they were breaking!
We went to bed pretty late actually and DH didn't need much encouragement. I actually felt better after! Not sure if it was a dose of endorphins or what but the pain had gone. I think it made LO move down a bit. I made the mistake of saying this to DH. He finds it weird anyway but now he thinks its creepy that LO was moving about. Lol. Silly man.

Think ur all amazing still dtd I haven't done it since 6 weeks when the sickness kicked in :/ poor hubby but he is being so good. I haven't done it since as I'm paranoid of bleeding and as I'm rhesus - I really don't want another anti d. So he will have to wait a bit longer. Nothing to report here really some fanny daggers but that's about it and also really tiered! It's my bday today so having my hair done. Wonder who will be the next labour thread ... :)

Awww happy birthday hun :-) Hope u have a lovely day! And yay for being able to post!!

I worried about DTD and bleeding after my tri2 problems but I'm enjoying when I can now as I know it may b a while before I feel up to it after bubs is here and I like not having to worry about contraception!! Plus it might help to move things along in the right direction!! Lol! We have ended up in hysterics a few times though- just because its so awkward! Lol! Xx

Soooo baby is deeply engaged. I saw a different MW who does it the other way round to my MW - my mw said 2 weeks ago I was 4/5ths palp engaged meaning 4/5th of the head was out but one today said 4/5th engaged so only 1/5th out of pelvis. Confusing!!!! She said all she can feel is shoulders outside the brim & no head so that's pretty deep. Not sure what the 1/5ths is then?! All exciting :) gonna see my little girl soon! Xx

Great news hun :-) Yeh- not sure what that 1/5 is?! Maybe they can only say 0/5 when u r in full blown labour?! X

Finally admitted defeat today and emailed my MD to finish this Friday and take next week as holiday. It's just all too much, too warm, too tiring and walking is an issue ATM as baby is low my fluff is in agony and not to mention my hip keeps clicking every time I walk. Hopefully he will mention it to me tomorrow and say it's fine, they are having a management meeting tomorrow so no doubt it will come up. We will see.just had enough this week already, wish it was moving day today, coming home to this isn't fun:

I think you've made the right decision there mrsm! You've got loads going on at the mo! Fingers crossed its all ok and u can get in the new place and start to calm down a bit! X

Hello lovelies :)

Still a bit emotional today but definitely not as bad as yesterday. Older kids loved the sleep over at granby's so much they are staying again tonight, i miss them.
So rang shops before setting off to get bra but they didnt stock any my size so ended up ordering online as sprk suggested, ordered a royce one as is the only seamless one my size, hope it works. Re scar and mastitis i would not worry hun, especially if a couple of times, i have had loads of bouts of mastitis over the years i breastfed my other 2 so quite unusual!

Anyhow, it sounds like lots of you getting a lot of gearing up!

Kaffee and mum2b these false starts really keeps you on your toes doesnt it? And is usually at night time as well which doesnt help with the tiredness. Kaffe, when my waters went in the middle of the night DH said the same, lets get some sleep and started snoring straight away but when things got going he got his bum into gear so hopefully the sane for you when the time comes.

Mum2b so glad you managed to get back to sleep though :)

Littlemiss, that must be a bit scary but also exciting that you might see baby soon?

Happy burthday keeptrying, hope you are having a fab day !
Will press send and see if works before continuing lol x
