*****August 2014 Mummies*****

R u just having him as a birthing partner or someone else too?? We r allowed 2 people at the hospital so my mum is a back up but chances r it will just be OH as mum will look after Ethan!

Mum & Dad are stopping in the area for as long as I need them, so mum could be my back up (think she'd love to do it) They currently live out of their caravan, as they rented out their home - they're usually bumbling about Europe (oh to be retired!) so I've tied them down to the UK this year

I've only had 1 "How are things" text so far, think people know that I'll make a Facebook announcement as soon as he's arrived. OH's dad keeps ringing to check up on me though, but I'm not having to take the calls! We have a party tonight (if I feel up to it) so many of our friends are there, so will see that I'm still pregnant!!

I'm looking at boots baby clothes and they say 3.4 - 4.5kg are these new born or tiny baby?

I think they are new born. 7.5 - 10lb

Well done Alan, I hate it when places use kgs - fair enough they have to be on packaging for EU regs - but surely Boots know we still refer to babies by Lbs and Ozs in the UK and can add them too - grrr.

Doing lots of shopping MrsM?

Not lots just trying to get last min bits sorted, which is difficult when trying to pack the house as well :-/ difficult

Kaffee- that's good u have tied them down! So great to have family close to help out! Hope u enjoy party tonight :-)

Mrsm- when's moving day?

Zoe- I remember being so slow going for walks last time round- when I was overdue I could barely get to the end of the road because the bh's were so bad! An hour and half's walk, even if slow is still amazing at 37 weeks! Xx

Get the keys next Saturday. Gunna clean the new place on sat morning, then move what we can in cars sat afternoon then big furniture on Sunday when we have a van. Done two bags of kitchen bits and made sure my hospital bag is ready. Also repacked some of the baby stuff from the baby shower. Shattered! Just gunna have some food and hopefully the nesting energy thing will come back

Gosh mrsm, can't imagine moving this close to due date, it was bad enough back in May. Rope as many people as you can in to help. Sounds as if you'll be grateful to move in though.

Have run out of energy this afternoon, think might be missing the party later!!

Got everyone coming next weekend thankfully, just gunna feel guilty if they all do both days to help us. Might have to split them in to shifts. Parents on Saturday and then brothers and sister on Sunday when the van is here.

Got really bad period pain this afternoon and baby is moving loads!!!!! Think she's telling me to sit and do nothing now. Had to have a cold shower as I felt so warm even tho I've been packing in the coldest bedroom in the house with the window open, fan on and curtains closed.

Also bit of a TMI question, anyone suffering with hem aroids? Been struggling to go and have ended up with one, not too painful but never had them before and don't know whether to go get something for it or if it will clear up by itself???

Mrsm- I have internal ones from pushing Ethan out!! They were bad for a while afterwards but rarely bother me now, although they have been a bit more troublesome at points during this pregnancy!....... If its not too bad I would prob just try to get hydrated and fibred up so u can go easily and maybe just buy some anusol cream or such like to use if it gets worse or painful. Bare in mind it may get worse with labour but once bubs is out it should settle down without all that pressure of baby on your rectum! Not a nice thing but v common in pregnancy!!
Think u def need to sit down and have a break!

Kaffee- u sound shattered too! Maybe an early night or only go to party for a short while??

I'm knackered too but don't have much reason as OH with me today so sharing looking after Ethan makes my life so much easier! I have slept a lot today too- had a lie in until 9 (pretty unheard of these days) and then a nap this afternoon 2.30-4!..... Still feel tired! Think its the heat!..... Got period pains and low down pressure again...... The thought of this for another 2 and a half weeks is depressing :-( Still trying to keep faith it won't be as long as that!! Xx

My god Mrsm I don't know how your doing it I struggled moving back in march never mind at this point! I can barely walk round lidl and asda just took me about 2 hours to do my normal shop that would normally do in in half hour!
Got a right slow waddle going on constant pressure all the way round and Braxton hicks hoping some thing starts to happen soon as I can't cope with it all for to much longer I don't think!

Sounds like we are all getting abit tired! Xx

Anybody else awake at this stupid time! :( woke up with intense lower back pain and loads of pressure currently sat in my silent livingroom on my gym ball as I can't get comfy anywhere else! :( xx
Spoke to my mum yesterday as she is planning on meeting my second birth partner and just because of all the pressure and back pain I've had my grandad is bringing her down on Monday so she can be here just incase and just for abit of help as I'm finding doing anything a mission right now :/
I just keep thinking what if this isn't really early signs and I'm just gunna end up suffering for another 2-4 weeks argh the idea of it is really getting to me! :( xx

That's great your mum is coming up ready! At least if it all kicks off u r prepared!....... I'm not gonna lie- going overdue does suck but u said births tend to b early is your family and that coupled with all your symptoms is a good sign :-)........ Just focus one day at a time if u can and whilst u know in the back of your head u could go over, the chances r u won't (or not by much if u do!)....... These last few weeks really r so tough when you and your body have just had enough- really just got to keep hanging in there! Xx

Ah mum2b glad I'm not only one awake at silly time!
Yeah hopefully something will kick off soon :/ I've been waking up with backaches and cramping for about a week but tonight has been the worst nevermind hopefully I can get some sleep soon :/
How us everything looking for you any more signs of baby making an appearance? Xx

It really does sound like your body is trying! But its so frustrating not knowing when it will start properly isn't it?!....... Not really hun- been trying to get him in a good position so that of it starts I can try and avoid a back labour! I have some mild period pain at the mo and he is wriggling about......My night waking is getting worse (like I remember it did with Ethan- I would b up several times and then just go downstairs- like u! It was the only way to get comfy and then I might end up back to sleep on the sofa!) Ethan will prob wake up at 6.30 so not sure I will get much more sleep now!
R u taking any patacetomol to help? Could u try a shower? Midwife said to me to always try a bath first if I could- if the pain eases u know its not labour!! Xx

Yeah so frustrating knowing my body is preparing hut nothings happening after everything the last few weeks I'm so fed up :/
No not been taking anything if I can help it more so when I do it will hopefully work! Plus I've felt abit sick with it tonight so it probably wouldn't stay down! A bath sounds amazing but knowing my luck I'd fall asleep in it so maybe not such good idea! Ha x
Gunna go back up and see if I can catch some more zzz once I've had glass of milk probably won't but I'm gunna try!!

Ahh sounds like your on your way Hun though I would imagine it wouldn't be nice if you had a back labour :/ hopefully he moves into a better position for you soon Hun think we are all getting quite close now from sounds of it I reckon the heats helping with these early labours and shows let's hope it does it for us too!!
Xxx fingers firmly crossed xxX

Hope u get back off again hun!
Think u r sounding much more promising than me at the mo- your symptoms seem far more consistent and remember I'm hitting my due date on Thursday and u still have that extra couple of weeks! So will def keep fingers crossed for u! As for me I think I'll b waiting a fair bit longer :-/ But hey- I have always anticipated it so no big surprise!
If u don't get back off just try and stay comfy and practice relaxing- will help for labour day :-)

Going to buy 13 ikea bags today lol, wish me luck! Might have to have a wander round as well for new house bits :-)

I was up at 4:30 absolutely baking alive. Sweating buckets & we had the fan on full blast all night. This heat is ridiculous!! Didn't think to come online & chat, should have done. I sat in the baby room with the window open as we get a breeze come in from the front of the house but not our room as it's the back! No signs of labour for me now, all last week & now nothing, not even slight cramps so hopefully she's just waiting out to be taken out the sunroof :) xx

Good morning all :). I've been away for a bit, enjoying the first few days off work hehehe. How is everyone?
Mrsm- glad you will be in your new place soon, but don't over do it. :)
Coco- she'll probably come when you least suspect it lol :)

We've finally got the nursery sorted ( very excited lol). Taught dh how to use the car seat too. Tried to go t to the docks yesterday, but after being in the heat for only 15 minutes, had to leave. The BH stated back up and it was just too much, so headed home. A bit disappointing really.... Getting out of the house is part of dh's physio, so I felt bad. He bought me roses and enough chocolate to last till December as a thanks for caring for him. I was in shock because he didn't have to and it was so thoughtful. Anyways, been having some more BH this morning and can feel lo moving down. Hopefully at the scan on Wednesday we'll see her close to being engaged ( the idea of getting her out is really appealing right about now lol.) Hope things cool off for everyone soon!

Stupid question but if I've packed a little jersey dress and some frilly pant for baby to come home from hospital in does she need to wear a vest underneath as well??
