*****August 2014 Mummies*****

Not in this heat. But I might pack one, in case it cools off.

I just have babygrows to bring baby girl home in, actually might consider changing to a light dress & pants now. I am sweating buckets just sitting around xx

I know what you mean. It's so hot!! I packed lo's bag before it heated up, so now I need to repack it lol. My only problem is, every time I get up, I get really strong bh, so not motivated to do much. Much more comfortable just sitting here :-\

Hi all. Having a lazy day here too, must go for walk though this eve to get things moving. Thankfully cooler here today. I've just packed a short sleeved romper for bubs home outfit.

What r u packing for giving birth in? I have tankini top for pool and maybe a vest and knickers for active labour. Asked my nct ladies (who've now all popped bar me) and most said they ended up starkers in final stages, but can't imagine doing that till pushing stage.

Thinking a romper for coming home too if weathers like this - a babygro will be far too hot. Must buy one ! I'm not planning a water birth as I have an allergy to water so will prob wear nursing nightie or pants and nursing vest. Last time I had a nightie on the whole time x

Hi all!

I've got a halter neck bikini top for the pool and just loose button front nightie if not!
I've got little vests for baby if its roasting or a babygro to put on top if cooler. Might put in a short romper as well.

Been emotionally all over the shop today! Felt sick and I've just been crying at nothing! Gotta love those hormones! Barely had period cramps today but lots of low pressure! Managed to get out for a walk this morning before it got too hot and hoping to do the same tomorrow if poss! Def looking cooler overall this week!
Anyone got a feeling it might kick off for them soon?? Gotta say I really don't! Lol! Expecting the umcomfiness and waiting to continue a good while longer yet! Xx

Im hoping things get going soon! All this cramping and pressure is driving me crazy. I know she's down low, but haven't lost plug yet.

Evening ladies,

Sorry not posted for a little bit, been feeling really down and all over the place in general. Hormones!! Started having horrible dreams about OH leaving aswell, had them first time around. But i feel much lower so its taking its toll. Plus i said to OH that the next few weekends we already have one commitement on one day so lets leave the other day free to do as a family and any finishing touches for baby/house etc. But he just keeps putting things in the diary!! Just soo over it i can't be bothered to argue. ARGH i can hear how pathetic i am just typing it.

Anyways can't wait for this bubs to come now so i can hopefully feel a bit more normal and have my body back x

Hansam, had awful dream OH was having an affair last night, so I'm with you on the hormonal dreams. If I were you I'd just say you're too tired to attend half things he's put on calender

Just come back from our walk, got a painful foof kick while out that made me stop in my tracks, OH was worried, every little pain makes him worry.

No feeling of imminent birth here. Sounds like we all have similar plans on birth wardrobe!

Mum2b- you're right. A lot of women don't lose their plug until labor starts...it would be a good sign though. I'm so impatient!

Hansam- hope you're feeling better soon. My dh is meant yo get out and about more, as part of his physio, but I just don't have the energy. I have to drive him and make sure he doesn't over do it. :/ He keeps forgetting that I want a lazy day ( or week lol) and asks if we can go out.

Yeah mine was the same dream. Weird how our brains do these things when we are so vulnerable lol. I know its like yesterday we agreed a nice calm relaxing day no house work just enjoying time with daughter before baby. Next thing i know his friends around for bbq 12-6.30 and then he invited friends over for dinner 7.30!! Whilst having to sort bed/bath for chloe also. Does make me wonder what goes through his head - or not!!

I must say you are all very good going on walks. I can barely walk to the end of my road at the moment with out being in agony.

I think i am going to chuck a romper in also as i have packed vests and babygrows. But as you say in this heat maybe too much x

HanSam- I haven't been out walking v much! Its been near impossible in this heat for me!..... Sorry about your OH- doesn't sound pathetic to me hun! They really don't think about how it is for us half the time!! Sorry u have been feeling all over the place :-/ Like I said above- been the same today and I have several days like it over the course of a week- its v tiring!!
Broke down today and told OH I have had enough now :-( Just can't be doing with the not knowing when he will come and how it will go etc! Let alone how I'll cope when he's here!! And although OH being supportive he is now having second thoughts on our name choice- talk about 11th hour!

Sprk- I agree- any kind of plug loss or similar sign would be good!! X

Hello guys
I am so sorry it sounds like everyone is a bit emotional in different ways. Wanted to add that I had loads of dreams (well bloody nightmares) that DH was having affairs, leaving me etc it must be a common anxiety to us all in pregnancy that the brain picks up on and makes us dream about it :/

Mum2b, the heat must be really intense, sorry you are feeling down and fed up hun, I know every day feels like a 10 years in late pregnancy but this is the final stretch one way or another! I am glad you managed to get out for a walk this morning, must have cleared your head a bit?

HanSam, sounds like you probably need to just say you are not up to half the things you have on the diary? In the last few days of being pregnant I didn't want to see anyone, just hot and bothered and couldn't care if I was being anti-social lol take it easy hun :)

Kaffee, ouch about that stabbing feelings down there, I know what you mean about having to stop . When I was 39 weeks with my 1st I was in a bus with my mum and dad and we pulled the buzzer to get off it, well I got up and honestly the sharp dagger made me paralysed and I couldn't walk, the bus driver came out his thing asking if he should call an ambulance lol I then started walking apologising ... So embarrassing :)

Sprk I really take my hat off to you for doing everything you are doing with your OH and making sure he is ok :) I never seemed to have noticed loosing any plug all 3 times :/

Here things are ok ish, no sleep, cracked sore nipples, baby blues- I cry for no reason at all... So MIL and SIL taken our older 2 overnight so DH and I can relax a bit. But overall I am loving having Ísla with us ... She is just adorable. Went to John Lewis yesterday to get a nursing bra just to be told my boobs are to big and they had nothing to fit me :0 so pre-pregnancy I was a D/DD during pregnancy an F and now I am an H !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Omg that's huge. So I am planning on going to Bravissimo tomorrow and fingers crossed they will have something there for me

X

Hi hun! Sorry its baby blues time :-( Always a crappy part of those initial days/weeks! Hope u feel back on a more even keel soon!..... Wow- massive boobies!! So many places don't seem to cater for that big from what I've heard- so silly coz I actually think a lot more women r that size breastfeeding these days! Hope u find something good from bravissimo!...... Also pleased your MIL has taken Aaron and Emily for the night so u can just focus on Isla :-)
Sadly the walk was before my meltdown this afternoon so as nice as it was it didn't clear my head for long! Hoping for a better day tomorrow xx

Hope your mood is better soon mummy midwife. I went through a low period after my first - not looking forward to another round. Nice to hear you have great family support :)

Just had a look at the calendar....as mch as I want L&D over with, just realized it would be better if it didn't happen until closer to the due date. I have a 2 hour drive to get hubby to an appointment on the 8th (plus two hours back) :( I would hate if he had to cancel it - it's far too long a drive for him to try. He's just began driving 30 min max at a time and needs a good long rest after.

Mummy_midwife - I have huge boobs too & found Freya & Royce bras the best for feeding. Also nursing bra shop.co.uk is v good if you know your size. Never found bravissimo very good :( hope the blues disappear soon, I literally only had 1 day of it 1st time round but felt so awful.

Packed a little romper for girly now so hosp bag is sorted! I can't walk far either, I'm not even gonna try in this heat. Although today has been a lot cooler, hopefully I'll actually get some sleep tonight xx

Thanks girls :) I hate the blues but DH and I managed to get some sleep this evening and I can feel my mood is a bit better, it's a mixture if hormones and tiredness I think.

Sprk I didn't think they were supportive but finding they have been :)

Mum2b I was disappointed on the bra front as I don't see myself as having big boobs lol I see women with much bigger ones wondering if they are a size Z then :0 I am hoping Bravissimo will help if not I might try debenhams, I really wanted to get them properly fitted but failing that I will just have to buy them online!
Tomorrow is a new day, new week and as you said, is supposed to be cooler, so hopefully it won't be as bad as it has been and you feel a bit brighter.

Lots of love to all and can't wait for news x

Aw coco, cross posted. I had Freya ones and Emma jane's last times as well as bravissimo and bravado, problem is I have lots of scar tissue on my right breast from previous mastitis so was hoping to be able to see where the seams sit to make sure it wouldn't cause problems. But if it fails I will go on the internet and try the website you suggested, didn't know about so thank you :) baby blues are usually part of it, but hopefully it will pass soon, great you only had 1 day of it :)

Hopefully you can get some sleep and great your bag is packed :) x
