*****August 2014 Mummies*****

Lol my LO is the same, thinks its a toy for him to play with. And OH thinks it a leg rest for him while watching footie lol. MINE lol
My waters went spontaneously with 1st, just stood up and whoosh. Was a waterfall. Had a hind water leak with 2nd but when main waters went it felt the same and with 3rd. Felt like a fully blown up balloon was inside me and it burst.
My contractions always feel it in my back then round to the front of bump then pushing down feeling. But my BH have been feeling the same. Just hope i dont confuse the real thing with BH and end up giving birth on the bathroom floor this time. I want my drugs lol
Do you need a cathetar with an epidural?
My 1st and 2nd were gas and air only but my 3rd was gas and air, morphine and remephentinol and I hated the wasted feeling afterwards. Was thinking epidural this time if it gets too much, but im not keen on the needle in the back. x

U don't always have to have a catheter the whole time......I had intermittent catheterization about 3 times then they left it in until the end. kinda wish they had just left it in really- less potential trauma! .....I didn't really feel the needle in my back at all to be honest. The whole epidural being sited was v straight forward xx

Its a def option for this time. Will just see how it goes, dont want to leave it too late then be told theres no time :S x

Hi all sorry not posted for a while hope everyone's doing ok? It's been a bit of a few weeks!!! Started at my 28 week scan where little man was just off the scale size wise nd me having high blood pressure! Turns out Iv got pre eclampsia! :( so been in and out of hospital for monitoring and steroid injections. Friday was taken to a hospital 1hr away as local hospital wouldn't cope if they needed to deliver with baby being small! Had a scan today nd the blood flow is reduced so drs have decided to induce me at 31+2 and to say I'm shitting it is an understatement!!! So I'm after any advice. Haven't even got a bag packed/know what a small baby will need?? He's had steroid injections 3 weeks ago so hopefully all will be fine!!! Mad to think in a few days my little man will be here!! X💙x

Oh my babybear!! Im not too sure bout other hospitals but our NICU has teeny teeny nappies and clothes for use. Think I would just go for the smallest nappies and clothes I could find. And my own breast pump for pumping cause I prefer it to the hospital ones.
Good luck!! :) x

Thanks just been told they will get someone from neonatal to come see me soon so will be able to ask questions!! Will feel a lot happier! I thought I'd have a big baby being a type 1 diabetic!! Feel tricked lol xx

Wenchy and mum2be I am I the same situation my son thinks it is his new toy try to bounce on it , rolling , throwing and god knows what else and hubby thinks it is his new leg rest typical :/

Baby bear- wow hun a lots gone on! Sorry that its all happening this way but there r definitely so many positive stories about babies born early! I'm sure yours will be fine but I can appreciate how nerve wracking and scary it is! Sometimes they r just better off out than in!..... I have no experience but I know that Leesey and Sarah13 had their babies at 33-34 weeks so maybe send them a pm or write in their journals and see if they can give u more info? Or u could post in the premature babies section of the forum?
Wishing u the best of luck for it all and we'll b thinking of u hun xx

Morning sunshines!!
Shopping was fun, was only a retail park type thing so not too much walking, and got OH to drive us down and pick us up!! :) I'm loving how River Island do baby clothes now, tiny versions of their bigger clothes too! I'll have to show you a picture of the 2 tshirts I bought, for baby & for Bradley, who is 10, so the size difference is just too cute! Ive since heard that they do the same top in mens size so I'm def gonna pick one up for James too as that'll be so funny! :) I did need a good rest when I got back tho! :)
Off to Ikea today tho, to look for some sort of wardrobe/storage for the baby :)

keeptrying - Thanks hun, its hard work isn't it! Have to really take my time. Everyone looks at me like I'm about to give birth at any point!! :) Hows the sickness today??
Re. clothes, I've bought a load in newborn & a load in 0-3. Bradley was 8lb5 and wasn't in newborn very long, he was really tall. So Ive made sure Ive bought quite a bit in each.

OfficiallyMrsM - Ah really? I was 2 weeks ahead last time but she said she wasn't worried. Measured only 1 week ahead this time tho so we'll see. Good luck for your scan next week!! Make sure you take your time hun, make sure you're getting enough rest!

mum2b - Hey don't worry! I post on the blog every 2 days so theres always stuff on the to catch up with when you get a chance! ;)

Kaffee - Sorry you didn't get much from work hun, don't let it get to you too much, hopefully they're planning something!! Ooh enjoy your pedi!!
Oh gosh even reading that about your lady bits is making me feel squeamish!! :x I just can't bring myself to do it, ahhh!!

wenchy - Oh hun it must suck when you can't sleep with restless legs, I have it a lot before I fall sleep. My legs get really restless and my feet really burn up. Do you get that too? Luckily I manage to sleep really well most nights, on top of the covers, wrapped around my pregnancy pillow. Really hope you get some relief soon!! I have to spray my feet with cooling spray!!

Zoe - You're doing an amazing job still being at work hun!! Fab news about your scan, but hope he moves into a better position for you soon!!

Have a fab day all,
Lianne x

Lianne I got so excited now you've told me river island do the same clothes and for baby. Haha all my three boys can be same!

Ladies today I've started get a different pain in my lady bits. Before I recognise the sharp stabbing that stops me in my tracks but this one I don't remember it's like a sore pain when I'm sat or walking and I can feel my lower tummy go hard. Does anyone else get this?

My mum popped round this afternoon and had picked up Ethan a Disney space hopper in the Aldi baby and toddler event- so now that's his 'ball' and hopefully I can claim mine back fully!! Lol xx

I would say if your tummy is going hard its probably braxton hicks hun. I tend to feel mine higher up but tummy def goes hard! xx

I feel like I should know as this is my third but nothing has been like the others. This pain feels like sore maybe a burning is it his head moving down. Last night I totally missed all my programmes cos of back ache and tummy hardening that was high up just made me moan and didn't get much sleep. I feel useless that I don't know what is happening with my body

I'm much the same hun- like I posted earlier today! Feel a bit silly not knowing what's what! I guess every pregnancy is different regardless of how many you've had- no two are the same! X
