*****August 2014 Mummies*****

Everyone says my bump is low, he is 1/5th engaged now though.
How is everyone this morning? Im starting to dread night times...the whole house sleeps well while I wonder about not able to sleep due to damn restless legs :( As soon as I lay down at night it starts with a vengence and my feet get twitchy and I have to move them and get up and walk. If I try to ignore it, my feet start jumping about on their own :( ANyone got any tips for restless legs that really works? Cant handle much more on an average of 2 hrs sleep a night! Ive even tried going to bed with shoes on lol x

Sorry hun- no idea what helps restless legs! Must b so annoying!..... At the moment I am managing to sleep quite well- think coz I'm utterly shattered I generally go off and then wake at some point for the loo and nod back off again until my boy wakes up around 6.30. I know my sleep will get worse in the coming weeks (it did first time round!) So I'm trying to make the most of any decent nights sleep! Can u nap in the day at all?? Xx

Yea, LO has roughly two 2hr naps during the day, but I try not to nap, so I can get a better sleep at night. Doesnt work tho, and I dont get restess legs during the day, so naps it is today for sure. x

I know what u mean- I try not to sleep when my LO naps (more than anything its the only good chance to get stuff done!) But sometimes I'm so tired I can't help but nod off!!

Just realised I'm 36 weeks today!! Must remember to do my bump pic later! X

Morning ladies.

my nights are fairly mixed but def more interrupted with loo runs regardless. half the time i end up doing it with eyes closed its that frequent lol.

Wenchy really feel for you i had horrid restless legs first time and its just starting to crank up now with this pregnancy. Do you make sure you drink lots? i found this has some effect on how bad my legs/feet are. but the down side is the loo runs!! Also try the leg spray mine is one from john lewis beginning with b. It helps sometimes but not others so not sure.

Def take advantage of day time naps from now on!

Kaffee soo sorry to hear your work were as you predicted. Retail therapy is always a good way to cheer up though. hope you got some bargains.

MrsM sounds very hectic as mum2b says don't take on too much. Need to enjoy last few weeks of pregnancy.
Im looking to book a pregnancy massage after a few have mentioned it. Just so expensive - but hoping will help relieve some of my restless legs and back aches.

Looks set to be a scorcher today ladies! x

I think I drink lots. I dont like juice so tend to drink mostly water through the day.
Oh not heard of a leg spray, will def be looking that up! Thanks.

Happy 36 weeks mum2b410

Im 35 weeks today :)

x

Morning ladies ,
Sorry I feel like I'm being useless on this thread at the minute I keep updating my journal but can never keep up on here!
Work is definitely taking it out of me now but just couple of weeks before I'm on maternity :) and hopefully I'll get back into swing of it on here!
My growth scan went well baby is estimated 5lb 5oz measuring perfectly but has long legs. He's back in the breech position after being head down for so long so that's slightly annoying as I have his head in right hand side of my rib cage and his bum is sitting slightly below the left hand side with one foot down and the other in my right hand side! Making it very uncomfortable to do anything that involves sitting or lying down!
I will try have a read through now and catch up on everyone. Xx

Done my pic!

Thanks wenchy- happy 35 weeks to u :-)

Zoe- don't worry about keeping up! Don't think anyone expects everyone to know/remember what's going on with everyone!
Hope u can get your little munchkin to shift round soon! Roll on mat leave! Xx

Hi ladies. Just been to midwife for 32 week appointment. Babies heartbeat is faster than it should be. Settled around 180 BPM. Had this happened with anyone before?

Heading up to hospital at 12 for a ctg so I'll probably know more before anyone sees this but just wondered.

Morning sunshines!!
Shopping was fun, was only a retail park type thing so not too much walking, and got OH to drive us down and pick us up!! :) I'm loving how River Island do baby clothes now, tiny versions of their bigger clothes too! I'll have to show you a picture of the 2 tshirts I bought, for baby & for Bradley, who is 10, so the size difference is just too cute! Ive since heard that they do the same top in mens size so I'm def gonna pick one up for James too as that'll be so funny! :) I did need a good rest when I got back tho! :)
Off to Ikea today tho, to look for some sort of wardrobe/storage for the baby :)

keeptrying - Thanks hun, its hard work isn't it! Have to really take my time. Everyone looks at me like I'm about to give birth at any point!! :) Hows the sickness today??
Re. clothes, I've bought a load in newborn & a load in 0-3. Bradley was 8lb5 and wasn't in newborn very long, he was really tall. So Ive made sure Ive bought quite a bit in each.

OfficiallyMrsM - Ah really? I was 2 weeks ahead last time but she said she wasn't worried. Measured only 1 week ahead this time tho so we'll see. Good luck for your scan next week!! Make sure you take your time hun, make sure you're getting enough rest!

mum2b - Hey don't worry! I post on the blog every 2 days so theres always stuff on the to catch up with when you get a chance! ;)

Kaffee - Sorry you didn't get much from work hun, don't let it get to you too much, hopefully they're planning something!! Ooh enjoy your pedi!!
Oh gosh even reading that about your lady bits is making me feel squeamish!! :x I just can't bring myself to do it, ahhh!!

wenchy - Oh hun it must suck when you can't sleep with restless legs, I have it a lot before I fall sleep. My legs get really restless and my feet really burn up. Do you get that too? Luckily I manage to sleep really well most nights, on top of the covers, wrapped around my pregnancy pillow. Really hope you get some relief soon!! I have to spray my feet with cooling spray!!

Zoe - You're doing an amazing job still being at work hun!! Fab news about your scan, but hope he moves into a better position for you soon!!

Have a fab day all,
Lianne x

Matching tshirts for Bradley & baby :)

Happy they are toooo cute!! Glad u had fun shopping. Sickness is back :( not as bad tho but still not fair lol it stopped at around 29 weeks and now it's back at 33 so all in all I've had 4 weeks off from sickness. Oh we'll not long left now I hope!

Hansam I'm with u on toilet trips I don't know what she is doing in there but I must go every hour now!

Weenchytoes I haven't had restless leg by my friend has it now and says its horrible. U have had a hard time haven't u thing pregnancy :(

Alan the only time this happened was when I had to go and have an anti d injection and I was really scared and they listened to baby's heartbeat and it was in 180s it eventually came down when I calmed down. They say that the baby mimics ur heartbeat so if ur nervous or scared its will go up as well. Was ur wife nervous or was she having blood taken at the time? Good they are looking after u let us know how it goes x

Alan- this happened to me last time when I was overdue- it was about 170-180 I think. I went in for monitoring and the more I calmed down the more baby did! I think I was just pretty worked up at the midwife appt coz I was over 1 week late and she was running so far behind I was annoyed! Like I say bubs was fine after monitoring and all was well so I'm sure your bubs will be too xx

Happy- love those little t shirts!! If I had the money I would def b getting baby clothes from places like next or river island- so cute!!

Keep trying- sorry about the sickness hun :-( It may settle again u know...... I felt nauseous again more in the last few weeks but it seems to be settling again now so many there's another hormone surge and once that passes it will go again? Hope it does!! Xx

Thanks mum2b I hope so :( feeling a bit down at the moment can't seem to get any motivation and just feel a bit useless really. Sorry for moaning think hubby's had enough of it lol xx

Moan away! It must b awful! Just try and take heart that it really is the last bit now and soon your sickness will be a thing of the past! Not much help for the here and now I appreciate but just be kind to yourself and take it easy. Xx

Happy84 - my feet get hot but thats during the day - i cant bear to wear socks or slippers in the house. At night i have covers but i sleep on my side with all the covers bunched up towards OH and sort of between my legs so feet are uncovered. Dont live near any big stores so im away to venture out to the local pharmacy and see if he has any cooling sprays.
Keeptrying14 - i just hate pregnancy, i feel so bitter and jealous when i see friends just sailing through it, but hey ho, 5 weeks to go lol.
Im not meant to be bouncing on my ball yet, but was playing with LO and bouncing him on it on my lap and think baby went down another notch.
Oh god im so tired....drinking my tea and just found the tea bag left it lol x

Wenchy- my son is mad about my gym ball! I have to keep telling him its mummies and not his toy! He tries to throw and bounce it round the living room!!
Hope bubs hangs on a bit longer hun- much lower and they be wanting out!! I feel like my little man's movements have gotten lower this week- keep getting pushed in my pelvis on the right and I swear I can feel him moving his head left and right low down! I only got to 3/5 engaged last time before induction so don't know what fully engaged really feels like!

The more I think about labour the more I feel like its my first time! I never had my waters go I only ever experience early contractions after 2 pessaries which stopped after a few hours, I had an epidural from the start so don't know the extent of the pain really! Feel so silly that its my second and I don't really know how a lot of it feels!! X

Thanks ladies everything is fine. Midwife said ctg was textbook. They had taken wife's blood pressure before trying babys heartbeat and blood pressure along with urine etc was perfect so that probably made them more cautious.

I'll take caution every single time though to be honest even if it causes an hour or two of worry :)

That's great news Alan! So pleased all is well xxx
