*****August 2014 Mummies*****

Very handy list, I feel like getting it ready just now. I should maybe let the wife do it though I don't want to face the wrath of a woman in labour for forgetting something.

For the stuff you need, does it make any difference how far you are from hospital? We are like 10 mins away. Not sure if I will be there all the time or if I get sent home.

I guess its easier for u to nip home for stuff if u r that close!..... I packed way too much last time- we are about 25mins away so not too bad! Will try to pack less this time I think!

I think policies on dads staying do vary......At our hospital partners can stay on delivery suite the whole time as its all single rooms but on the maternity ward there are visiting hours for partners- unless u r paying for a private room!..... It was horrible hubby being sent home at 3am last time round- he was back again at 7.30am bless him! X

Kaffee- going home outfit we haven't bought yet.....not sure if we will reuse something of Ethan's tbh- but I did see some nice 'hungry caterpillar' babygro sets in Tesco the other day which we might get! ....Ethan cane home in a simple white babygro last time and then had his going home outfit on the next day! Lol! (He was asleep in the hospital and we didn't want to wake him up just to change his clothes when there was no need!) He had a thumper (from Bambi) babygro and it was super cute :-) Hope u get a nice mini break in Wales! Oh and fingers crossed OC result is negative!

Mrsm- glad your GTT went smoothly :-)

Hoping for no2- varicose veins sound nasty- poor u :-/
School run, work and baby- u r gonna be supermum!! Hope u get some time to rest somehow! Xxx

That's a good hubby :)

I'll need to ask them and get answers for what their policies are so I know what to expect. Certainly not getting a private room, that wouldn't go down well at all.

Hi all,

Hope you all had fab weekends :)

I'm still recovering from the wedding on Saturday night.. Managed to be there from 7-2am, with a 5" heel.. Had the most wonderful time and danced the night away, couldn't believe I lasted that long, that said I've never felt as tired and run down as I do now, ohh what I'd give just to feel a hangover! Piece of cake compared to this lol

No boob leakage to report here though have noticed a bit of a crusty right nipple. I have however noticed a serious increase in discharge which is lovely, actually wondering if it is the plug re-generating or something as it's a considerable amount compared to a few weeks ago. Pregnancy is just so sexy.

I need to think about hospital bag packing too. Pinched a few pairs of disposable spa slippers and a light weight gown when we were away the other weekend so they're sorted, lol.

Congrats on the start of mat leave Happy :)
Busy week at work for me this week.. 10 weeks and 49 shifts to go !!

Xx

Here is a bump pic.. Left is 2 or 3 weeks ago, right was on Sat. Really not as much difference as I thought, maybe this is me starting to slow down now given I've been huge since 12wks ! Xx

Glad u had a great time Weezy- v impressed with 5 inch heels til 2am!!..... Your bump is lovely! Can really see the shape has filled out nicely :-)

Wow 5inch heels!! I can't even wear them normally never mind when pregnant!

Hello ladies,
Bought loads of bits from Primark & Bodycare yesterday for my hospital bag, so getting there. Primark is so ideal for cheap PJs and underwear isn't it! Altho I was stood there thinking OMG what do I want to wear in labour? What size PJs shall I get for afterwards?? I don't think I was this flustered last time, think I just threw a load of stuff into a bag and hoped for the best lol.
Still feeling absolutely huge & uncomfortable!!
Slept a lot better last night, thankfully. Managed to keep getting back to sleep after loo trips, and felt a lot more comfortable too.
Have been lazy this morning and relaxed on the sofa with the OH whilst we're both off, but hey its allowed - thats what maternity is for right? ;)

Thanks to all for the nice messages regarding maternity leave! I do still worry about it starting so early, and the repercussions for afterwards, but I know I made the right decision. My mental health has been so much better since I made the decision!

Hi ladies, creeping into tri 3!
Hope you are all well. How quickly is time going. I can believe I'm 28 weeks now. Another 4 weeks till I start my mat leave/holiday and I can't wait. I feel massive and when people ask how long to go I lie!!!

Hey hun! Officially welcome to tri3 :-)

I feel massive too :-/ People tell me its like I've been pregnant for ages- I know!! Just over 8 weeks til due date for me, but def still adding 2 weeks on for going overdue as I will shocked if I don't!! Hope u r doing ok, despite feeling huge xx

Happy- primark is ace for that stuff! I got my pj's there last time and have bought a couple of bits from their for hospital bag again this time!

Don't worry about the mat leave- it was clearly what u needed and sometimes we just have to do these things for the good of our mental health. It will b ok in the long run I'm sure xx

Do primark have some nightie's with buttons to make bf easier? Been looking out but don't venture to primark sounds like maybe worth a trip.

I walked around bluewater our local shopping centre for a bit today trying to find some more mat clothes and also few bits from my to buy list. I was walking like an old lady by the end which was only an hour and or so! Ended up having to sit down in John Lewis for a drink just to rest. I still have 11 weeks to go - no idea how going to cope with this spd :-(. I suppose i shouldnt moan as i know some ladies can't even walk with out aid of crutches etc.

Just feeling sorry for myself. That and OH is constantly out with work or other stuff and feel a bit eugh. x

HanSam- the one I bought has some buttons down the front of the chest area- its Navy blue with a little daisy print on it I think- about £6!.... It'll do for after the birth I think! I'll prob take one of my Hubby's old shirts and some PJ bottoms as well!
Sorry about how u r feeling- I don't have SPD and I moan and wonder how I'm gonna make it to the end! Just soooo tired! Hoping to get my blood results tomorrow- although will prob just say iron is ok now and its all just normal tiredness for being heavily pregnant with a toddler :-/
My OH has come home a bit early the last 2 nights- makes such a difference so I get how crap it can b when it's u on your own all the time! *hugs* xxx

I'm waiting til after baby shower before I get my hospital bag done as I think some ladies have got bits for it for me

When's your baby shower hun?? .....My bestie is organising something for me- think tea and cake with a few friends! Feel v lucky to have another get together second time round :-)

Thanks mum2b. Hope your bloods come back ok, as you say doing it second time around with a toddler is much harder. Ill def pop in primark then cheap nighties are what i need.

Im just glad she is usually pretty good with going to bed. tonight she is playing up a little but once 7 has come im glad for the evenings to myself. Making the most of that for the last 10 weeks haha x

Tell me about it! Its gonna be get one to bed and then probably up til late with the new baby (in the early weeks at least!)......Trying hard to enjoy these last few weeks just Ethan and I- even though its hard I know i'll miss it! X

20th July :-) looking for to it but not at the same point, hate not being in control, drives me mad!!!

My mum has arranged all my baby shower, it's on the 5th July. Really looking forward to having all my friends and family together as my mum and sister live down south and I'm up north.
Her theme is English tea party so that's all I know. Will take pics and share with you all. Anyone else having one? It wasn't a done thing when I had my other two so nice to do this time asround.

Have my anti d injection on Thursday and then dint think I have anymore hospital appointments which feels weird.

Morning all. Can't believe you're all thinking about hospital bags already, I must get my act together but been more focussed on getting house sorted. Trying to find a decorator to do our bedroom before bubs comes is proving difficult. Ironic that it's our room that needs sorting not baby's? Might have to make a start on it ourselves soon!

A baby shower sounds a lovely idea. I don't have any close friends or my sister and mum nearby that would throw me one and it feels a bit wrong to throw your own. All friends nearby are wives of my OHs best friends so unlikely to sort one, though we all get on really well.

Didn't get oc blood results through yesterday but hoping no news is good news!
