Hope everyone had a good weekend

Strange thing...last two nights I've been waking up with pins and needles in my arm, but I assumed I had slept on it - no biggie. Today my right hand (mainly fingers) have been tingly since I woke up. I tried to massage it better and thought it was ok, but as soon as I picked up a needle and thread to repair a top, I could barely hold the needle. My fingers feel so numb. My BP is fine, but the numbness and sore finger joints are strange. Is this normal?

I've just been admitted after seeing the consultant about my induction, to rule out pre eclampsia. Hope I'm just unwell babies heart was fast and I'm swollen with headache and protein in my pee. Terrified now. So baby could be coming today but if not I got my induction at 38 weeks and booked in for the 13th. So flipping scared right now I've come so far hang on in there baby you can do this xxx

I rang the mw about my numbness, she had me ring the ward. They've had me ring the gp, who I'll be seeing in a hour. Good times.

Nothing to report with me. Was bouncing away on ball yesterday and eating pineapple hehe. DS comes home from his weekend away with his dad this afternoon, looking forward to seeing him!

Harspray- welcome to the overdue club! Lol!.... Hopefully sweep will work for u!..... It is v hard seeing people having babies when due date has come and gone but its what I expected this time round, so handling it ok at the mo!

Lilmiss- oh hun- its never straight forward for u is it?! Really hope u r both ok whether u get induced today or not! Thinking if u!

Sprk- sounds like carpal tunnel to me hun- u do need to get it looked at though- especially if your grip is affected like that! Hope GP is good!

Happy- thanks hun! I am getting a bit more fed up each day :-/ My body feels like its had enough now! Been getting period pains and lots more braxtons the last day of two but its not come to anything! Hoping it will soon! Want my baby now!

Just back from the gp....carpel tunnel it is! Yay! Hahaha. Been booked in to to see the nurse today, so I can get measured for a brace :-/ Hopefully it will resolve itself after Emily comes.

Mum2b- sounds like it's time to start jumping up and down while eating spicy food

Thanks girls. Most of my tests came back ok but they managed to lose my blood :/ had to have that re taken. They have let me come home for now and will call me with the results to go back in if there is a problem but the midwife was confident by the other results that he is ok in there. So looking like induction on the 13th for me. 9 days arghhh never thought in a million years I would make it xxx

Evening all,

Had my first Sweep this afternoon, crikey that is not a nice experience! But I expect it's the start of things to come!

Midwife said my cervix was soft, still a bit posterior, os 1 cm dilated and partially effaced. Anyone know what the Os is? Does partially effaced mean the cervix is thinning? I've looked on google but it's not very clear.

I then smashed the screen on my phone - good timing! I've luckily found an old phone that I can at least use in an emergency.

Hi hun! Glad they managed something with the sweep! OS is the opening bit of the cervix I think! Effecement it the thinning of the cervix so yes it means its thinning out
V annoying re your phone :-/

Thanks Mum2b. No signs of any progress since sweep- ah well! Trying to enjoy the relative quietness before baby arrives. Hope you're keeping yourself busy.

Harspray- don't they say sweeps can take a day or two to work?? I don't really know but it still might have helped!
Trying to keep busy but it just feels like days r ticking by and no real change :-/ Oh well! Only 10 more days of waiting left max! Hope something kicks off for us both soon xxx
